  1. Happy Friday, this week we got sick! Mandy got the majority of this week's gets.. she started playing last of us and it sure looks nice. Also digging the dock, nice quality. Kingdom hearts all in one came into the local. Disgaea 6 and the Tony hawk remake from there as well, and a Wii u HDMI cable from the thrift. On the mend now, but not the most fun week haha.
  2. @fcgameroo what's the beer, looks tasty

Blue is completely customized, cut the shell to fit the rotating d pad, all parts except motherboard are replaced Tools of the Trade: Souvenir: Halo CE promo countertop standee, a friend that worked at GameStop gave me this way back in the day because they were a ps2 fan and knew I liked halo. Fresh coat of paint: Couple n64s and a GBA I painted in post 1 of thread Edit: new submission(s) Glamour Shot: Clean as a whistle: After taking apart Mandy's pro controller the other week I figured it was a good idea to see if I could fix the mild drift on the one I got back at launch and found this cat nest tucked away.. holy dang after cleaning it doesn't seem to drift anymore, hurrah. Game night: Played jackbox for a couple hours on the 20th Attempt: Nintendo sixty fouuuur: got like 80% through Mickey's speedway USA but couldnt place in the last comp unlocked by finding car parts I spent a few days getting there and could probally do it if I went back and got the unlimited retries cheat but hey I tried.

  5. Friday here, a lot of gets this week eeep First off, pretty stoked to add this to the Xbox collection.. Bought the Darkwatch coffin from pokemon_gray! N64 tape for scale With t-shirt and poster, super neat. Next up PS2 stuff, so mint and crispy. Learned they came from a collector that passed away so rare that this nice of condition stuff comes into the local store. Knocked a couple more Xbox off the list too and viva pinata pocket paradise for the DS, woo Thrift platinum hits Xbox stuff and broken trigger PS4 controller for 3.29!! Like the good ole days haha. Went back to the local store to snag the jet li game and saw conception 2 with the soundtrack in the display case, rang up for 16.99, heck yaaa Whew, have a great week y'all! More gets next Friday!
  6. Woo it's really coming along! The homestretch now, heck ya man!!
  7. Mandy's pro controller stopped registering left shoulder button presses from being dropped too many times.. so we disassembled and tried cleaning to no success. After a bit of research we discovered replacement part trigger flex ribbons available (there's even clicky ones, a bit more expensive than the regular but super cool to see available) The bad part removed. It was adhesived to the plastic assembly so I used an exacto knife to get under and slowly pry.. after watching a YouTube video seeing someone leave this in and put the replacement over it, I think I would try that next time I work on one. The replacement part we got did not have adhesive but it stays in place due to the button membranes without issue. Mandy got some cool soft pink replacement buttons/handles since we were already in there and here's the result: It's making me want to do my controller up now too hahah. Feeling, looking and playing great so far. Here's a different video of the manufacturer installing the clicky button flex ribbon cable, pretty much the same process:
  8. 100% for beacon pines It was pretty cute! Pretty short but a choose your own adventure point and click style, beat it in 2 sittings but the story jumping around was pretty cool and although the writing could get a bit flourishy it was pretty decent overall!
  9. Aw jeeze happy belated yallll!! @TDIRunner @WaverBoy @1337bcc1991 @tiktektak And happy 40th tdi!
  10. Yass it has the Konami text inside, lil damage on the top of the spine of the art but not too bad.
  11. Hello and welcome to Friday, here go the gets. Was planning on sticking to cib for Genesis but this copy of Castlevania bloodlines minus the book came into the local and I got it for $50 after discount. Mandy got the xeno 3 special edition in the mail from spacepup, thank you again meester pup!! It's heavy! Gonna look real nice on the shelf with the other 2. Thrift gets, 7$ together on the DS games(super happy to get Yoshi's island ds on the cheeeap) and 2.50 a pop on the PS4 stuff.. felt crazy to see decent PS4 stuff.. also didn't realize astro had a full vr game, the built in astro game on the ps5 is so cute, now we gotta get a vr headset lol Thrift books for a buck and Mandy picked up cyberpunk and Bayonetta. That's it for this week! the local store just got some really nice shape ps2 games that I think I might have to go back and take another peek so expect to see some of those next week lol
  12. Is that yours @pokemon_gray? Also thank you for sharing pictures, amazing!!

  16. The GBA everdrive.. from what I understand doesn't have native support for gb/gbc games because the hardware recognizes to switch to that mode through a switch or voltage or something through an original cart.. having a hard time trying to fully explain but from what I read its just emulating it through goomba so the support is kinda hit or miss. Basically if you want the best support for gb/gbc a Gameboy flashcart is the way to go. I also hear theres a good clone of the gb cart for like 30$ on AliExpress but I haven't tried it myself.
  17. That Marlboro fanny pack is sweeeeet
  18. Hey, not much this week! NFL training camp, street sk8r and burnout from the thrift. Layton from the local gamestore, I have the other 3 Layton games and finally found the first one in nice shape with the original receipt from 08 too wooo. See ya next month
  19. I loved blockbuster because they brought more videogame supply to my small town growing up. Was it my favorite experience at a rental place? hell naw. It was like making a deal with the devil, and the devil has a pokemon snap station! They were always the most expensive. If you wanted to get down on the newest games they would have them on release and the local places would maybe not get them at all? Justifying a $5 game rental vs the full price of the game blah blah blah. Blockbuster was the spot for new movie/game that was more likely gonna be in stock. The other local places were the first choice, and you ended up at blockbuster if they were out. Honestly I think I like them now more in words than I ever did when they were around haha, there were other rental places that would cut up your blockbuster card for a free rental with them hahah.
