I know the '09 variant has been discussed in the past, but I don't know if the '11 has. These were only sold in the Octobers of 2008 and 2010, but I have no idea what the actual sales numbers would have been. Just curious if anyone knows anything else about them besides what is in the Kotaku articles, and where people are viewing their rarity these days. I recall some people listing the '09 version as the rarest Wii title at one point back on NA, but I'm curious what the opinions are these days. Happy football day!

I wanted to wait til after the auction finished before I posted this, but I did end up deciding this game probably does exist after looking at the listing titles from the few sales data on Pricecharting. The titles were pretty clear about being this combo pack, which totally blows my mind. And the coincidence of seeing this box in a random eBay lot shortly thereafter was quite surreal. Looking back, I regret not bidding higher.

Bouncing off your idea @RH, it could be really cool to start boxes for specific niches as individual clubs. Like a mix of stuff for one system that is worth more like $250 minimum. Although I'm still looking forward to this box for fun, I am not sure how much stuff I'll actually want to keep from it.

Am I alone in preferring that we not post photos? The mystery is the fun part for me. I also pictured it as a game of telephone where we see at the end what the original box turned into

@Gamegearguy Thanks for the offer, but it won't be necessary. It's more that I haven't made the time to dig through stuff to find a VCR than that I searched and was unable to find one. However, someone did reach out privately with more info on this, so I have an idea of what to expect now, but if anyone else knows anything it's appreciated! I'll update the thread after I get it up and running.

Anyone know anything about this? I haven't located a VCR yet to play it, but it looks more like internal property than those promo videos mailed out to subscribers. Any info is appreciated as Google didn't do much for me. Something interesting is that Volume 15 of NP was one of the red cover ones (Ninja Gaiden II), so maybe this has something to do with that (based on the V15 on the label and red sleeve).

@Wandering Tellurian I agree. It was appropriate to talk about, but oh my goodness, it was handled in such an intentionally cheeky way. If I recall correctly, the audience even laughed when the moderator said that. Maybe they just wanted to stir up some trouble or get a reaction, but handling it in that manner just lowers the level of discourse and genuine examination. If you're curious and haven't already seen it, I saw Politico has the audio now on the no-handshake showdown Warren and Bernie had at the end of the debate.

Even if that guy could convince me that he knew what was intended by the founders, who cares? I don't understand the bizarre obsession with idolizing the founders and their vision. We should have our own progressive vision for the country. I mean, our society as a whole is really not some glorious beacon of equality and prosperity. We should want to do better as a country...as a world, really.

To say the economy is doing well and imply that Trump is to credit for that is misleading at best. The statement itself is meaningless without specifying by what measures we judge the economy to be good, and it may well be more accurate to say that the economy is good in spite of or unrelated to Trump.

The back box art would give a strong clue, if you have a pic of that. If it's a single UPC code, that suggests a unique combo cartridge, while if it shows the two UPC codes for Powerpuff and Dexter, it would have just been the two cartridges. I can think of a couple similar examples of GBA combo packs that had the two carts instead of a combo (for example, Shrek and Shrek 2 GBA Video combo with 2 carts). And because this box art has the "of quality" text on the seal, I am inclined to think these would not have been the revision carts. I personally don't think this game was released, but I would love to be wrong! edit: and I was!
