  1. Even if people are polarized, everyone should find it disgusting that McConnell and Graham would openly advertise that they have no intention to be impartial jurors.
  2. @DoctorEncore thanks so much! Those will be really helpful
  3. This happened to me earlier this year. I wasn't asking for anything, just giving a heads up that the issue had occurred, and the condescending unapologetic response was pretty annoying. I dropped it though because, like you said, I don't want to compromise potential future transactions.
  4. Whenever I picture the guy's face beneath the helmet, I immediately picture the character from Game of Thrones and want him to dance around with a poisonous spear.
  5. Yoga, running, and pushups. I'm not super consistent with all three all the time (not living up to my potential has always kinda been my thing), but those are the ones I go after. Running is the most consistent, which I'm now realizing is surprising to me since it's the most time-consuming of the three (the way I do it). But I did cross country and track in high school, so I guess there is more of a history, habit, and passion with running. I drink as much beer and coffee as I want but eat very healthy, and it seems to be working for now (I'm 33). Btw, just as a fun aside, my brother recently challenged me to do one pushup a day for a month. Obviously, the pushup is not the hard part--it's the consistency. Without being very careful about it, one just forgets to do the damn pushup. Somewhere in the 3 week range, I forgot and missed a day. It's an interesting feeling to mess up something so simple...almost revelatory about human nature.
  6. Does anyone have suggestions for shelving specific to GBA boxed games (same size as GB, GBC, and VB if that helps)? I have a shit ton of them I need to put somewhere, but I want to minimize the wasted space and money from having a height adequate for NES boxed games (for example). Maybe a shelf from IKEA made for CDs?
  7. Metroid Prime. I got to the end back in 2013 and never beat the final boss. I'm so much braver now than I was back then! I remember being much sweatier last time.
  8. You underestimate your charm...that's not bizarre at all. I bet she did her work study there to get closer to that handsome no-nonsense circulation desk employee I imagine you saying something like "sorry, but here we do things by the book" as you point around to indicate that you are literally by the books, and the future Mrs. Tellurian going weak in the knees at such an agile display of word play.
  9. @Wandering Tellurian Do you believe that things happen "for a reason," or that things can just result from randomness?
  10. I don't mind the idea of having other things to worry about...I just don't like the idea of still being in the same situation I am now many years from now It will feel like I didn't use my time wisely to solve the problems I had "back then" (now). Thanks for the input! I genuinely enjoy hearing people both older and younger than me opine so I can marinate in different perspectives.
  11. I hope I don't worry about the same things I do now when I'm twice my current age.
  12. I have a fuzzy memory of watching this weird sort of outdoor carnival thing on TV or VHS (maybe recorded from TV?) when I was little, and it had Weird Al strapping his feet to a big swinging contraption and being swung back and forth upside down like a pendulum. Wow, there are all sorts of weird little flashes I can recall from that. I should google it and see what the heck that was. Okay, did I do it right?
  13. @m308gunner Thank you for taking the time to dig into that more, and actually the fact that you weren't referring to politicians helps me better understand your point, so thanks for pointing that out in the first paragraph.
  14. Can you elaborate on that? It seems so opposite how conservative politicians behave in the Trump era, and I wonder if I may be misunderstanding the claim you're making. edit: Just to clarify, I'm criticizing the party leaders, not the people who first elected them.
  15. I may have misinterpreted the meaning of his post, but I thought he was talking about ignoring children in the sense that by not dealing with the climate problem, conservative politicians are harming the next generation who will have to bear the cost.
  16. Lots of good titles, especially if you're wanting a boxed GBA collection.
  17. As I understand it, after you sign up for subscription here on the site, you will get an invoice via paypal each month. It's not through Patreon.
