  1. Have you looked into Omaha steaks? Not the cheapest by any stretch, but it's at least available. Edit: there are promo codes online that bring their prices down to a somewhat reasonable level. Definitely worth looking into if you have real concern. Or maybe giving a local butcher a call and see about getting a bulk package. Supply chain disruptions are real. We can't get roast beef or ham at work right now and couldnt get Capicola for a couple weeks. And lots of short codes on food we do get in
  2. If an rpg doesn't grab me in the first 2-3 hours, I write it off as a bad game. I'm not going to drop 40 hours into something to see if i like it.
  3. Rare to find a beautiful german lager around here. Kostrizer is one of the finest schwarzbiers in the world.
  4. Yes and no. I thought about doing requests and chocobo racing and getting knights of the round and all that, but it's really not that much fun to do. I just maxed out my inventory and I can grind on the monsters in the crater if i need to. But that's not much fun either. I'd rather look back on the journey and move on to something new. I already know the end. And it is amazing, one of the best and most satisfying endings to any story. But it's one i have seen many times before.
  5. I played through ff7 again and I am standing in front of the crater. I think I have found my fun. I remember well how the story ends and it was more about the journey for me this go around. I'll watch the ending when the ff7 remake is fully released and I have the opportunity to play it. Love FF7. It really is my favorite story in any video game, cliche as that may seem now. In my opinion, the story is flawless.
  6. I wore a mask through a full 9 hour workday yesterday. The mandate for retail goes into effect Monday, and the mandate for restaurants the following Monday. I wanted to just get used to it plus try to set a good example. Admittedly, it was quite uncomfortable to be running around and cooking, but it was certainly manageable. Just have to get staff on board now. And other management. The mandate for mask wearing is coming fast, but nobody wants to talk about it or acknowledge it. And some have said they will refuse to work. Great. It was a hard revelation for them when you point out that there is nowhere else to work where masks aren't required.
  7. This. Not to mention mandated face coverings are coming in NH. Work will suck even more soon.
  8. So close! It's frustrating to see people out there not believe in this because they aren't struggling themselves. Granted its like only 5% of the population that believes that. But I serve at least 150 sandwiches everyday. Meaning on average I have to confront that guy 7 times everyday, and it grinds on you. And even if they were right and the virus was fake, the extra regulations are not. My job being 15% more labor intensive than it used to be from required extra cleaning and glove use/glove changes is very real. To not get empathy for that is insulting. @Richardhead probably knows how I feel from working in a liquor store. There is good tidings from all this though. The 3900 Trump check(deal with it, I'm calling it that) paid for a first months rent and a security deposit on a single family house. After dealing with 3 kids packed into a townhouse, we finally get a single family home that is easily afforded between my and my wife's new RN salary(and lordy does this world need more nurses. I am so proud). Things are really looking up in spite of everything. Just Got to bear through this.
  9. Im with you. I have the (un)fortunate situation of being an essential employee managing a takeout sub shop in a gas station. Combine that with my wife being an lpn while finishing school to get her RN, and it has been double extra duty. Ive had to carry the load the whole year so she can focus on school, since nursing school is intense and no joke. And then homeschool for 3 kids fell on to my plate. Couple that with work has sucked lately, the staff has been getting burnt out, the owner went to GA to enjoy life since that state opened up(which is insane btw!) And while some customers have been extra awesome thanking and praising us for our hard work, others have been extra rude. Especially the ones who still don't think this virus is real or not a big deal. If you are an essential worker with a family, i can bet your plate is borderline over filled. Its disheartening that there is no realistic end in sight.
  10. How is everyone doing? Im starting to burn out myself. 2 months of this has been excruciating.
  11. When I am having off days, I like to say I am riding the strugglebus.
  12. Any drummers on here? So it's been 10 years and I'm getting some drums again. Gretsch still makes the Catalina Maple series, so I'll be getting a 7 pc shell. I loved those drums. So warm and mean at the same time. I rocked a combination of paiste signatures and alphas back in the day. The problem is that signatures are out of my price range, and alphas were discontinued. I'm intrigued by 900s to get a real nice groove rock/metal sound but still a little jazzy (though I wish they made a 21" ride). Any recommendations? With corona virus right now, I can't just go to guitar center and test away like I would have back in the day.
  13. My local chuck e cheese still has this game as of last year at my kid's birthday party(manchester, NH). Might be worth a phone call for you!
  14. Awesome! I cant wait to read it! Ive re read what you've done twice since it's such a fun read. Keep up the great work!
  15. It's really good! I actually prefer orangina(and I suppose its easy enough to make with seltzer and oj) but you can't find orangina around here any more.
  16. Mint is easy to grow and maintain if you have a hard time getting fresh mint. Just keeping it in a little flower pot in a window should do. Same with parsley and basil.
  17. I have no issues with guns or gun laws. I grew up with guns and understand the power and might behind them. In fact the very first thing I was taught was you never point a weapon at something you do not intend to shoot. This is step 1, 2, and 3 of responsible gun ownership. But really? Comparing knives and anything you need to throw or swing to a gun is silly. If you are 10 feet away from someone with a knife, bat, club, milkshake, etc. You can always run away. You can't race a gun. This is asinine to argue otherwise. Bringing race into this is also silly and irrelevant. I have very strong opinions on the matter, but they are completely irrelevant here right now. Californication gave everyone a classic race bait, and it would be unwise to take it.
  18. Polar orange dry. Very similar to orangina, but it is actually available.
  19. I think it wound up being a blessing in disguise for Steve Carrel. Leaving the show early let him max out his star power and gave him the opportunity to make some very good movies!
  20. I haven't watched Saul yet, but he was easily the best part of breaking bad. I'm going to have to at some point.
  21. Daria, Angel, Young Sheldon, and Better call Saul off the top of my head. Lots More if you want to count reality shows(which let's be honest is like 75% of new shows anymore)
  22. Saul Goodman- breaking bad Randy- South Park John Locke- Lost Michael Scott- the office Homer- the Simpson's George costanza- Seinfeld Phoebe- Friends Bender- Futurama Miguel Prado- Dexter Bobby Elvis- Sons of Anarchy Dr Cox- scrubs Gob- arrested development (though Tobias might be tied, aka, Anustart.
  23. We lovingly refer to these buds as popsicles. Very fancy stuff. The kinds of things that improves my focus on and I turn into a puyo puyo beast.
  24. Before jumping to conclusions, is the Michigan State capital a public building? Also, does Michigan also have open carry laws? Let's not jump to conclusions if they were being law abiding. If they had a right to be there and a right to open carry, then they weren't doing anything wrong. That being said, this virus is real. So many of these protesters would have a different tune if and when the virus takes out mom and dad.
