  1. Maybe Nosferatu for SNES/SFC. I feel like the game was on the right track, and the SNES could've definitely used a good horror title, but the game falls a little bit flat. It's not unplayable, and it's probably not even THAT bad, but it could have been much better.
  2. Check out the Violinist of Hamelin. Very fun puzzle game that kind of reminds me of a better version of a boy and his blob, or Three Vikings.
  3. Just cross your fingers and hope you never get seriously sick, or that your insurance company doesn't drop you because you're too expensive.
  4. I don't have a ton of money these days, and I am not even living in the US, but I have been contributing to Bernie's campaign this whole time. I definitely would not support Biden, and I don't think I would consider voting for Pete, as I don't trust him after he switched stances on healthcare. I understand that a lot of Americans, for whatever reason, are strongly opposed to socialized healthcare... But after living several years in a country with a national healthcare service, I feel that it is something Americans would benefit from.
  5. Technically yes, though their situations were different. It's not really worth comparing though to be honest.
  6. I do mean that. I believe that if Trump were faced with his own 9/11, he would defintely go to war with *someone*
  7. W also had to deal with 9/11 and Trump hasn't had any similar emergencies to deal with yet.
  8. I'm fortunate that it's only happened to me maybe 3-4 times in as many years in Japan, but it is definitely not a fun thing to have happen to you.
  9. My wife has been playing Stardew pretty much religiously for about two years now. She's completed the game so many times that she makes challenges for herself like trying to collect everything within one year or whatever.
  10. I really want one of their Analogue SNES consoles but they're a bit out of my price range. I wish I could get one for like $75-100. I am probably being unrealistic, but with the price pushing $200, it is just a bit rich for me.
  11. Hang in there and try not to get down on yourself. It's a serious situation but you are in good hands and the doctors will pull you through this. Try to keep calm and never give up!
  12. A criminal trial also would have dismissed jurors who openly said they would not be impartial, and arrested ones who did not show up for court.
  13. Is the translator getting paid for his work? Or was this a volunteer kind of thing, just to make the game accessible to English speaking people? I am out of the loop, and at work so I have no idea.
  14. To be honest, it was such a small transaction that I can't remember if I gained anything at all. If I did gain, it wasn't more than 10-20 dollars. I'd have to imagine the tax on that is probably negligible. I'll file it regardless, though.
  15. I thought BOTW was fantastic. Many people don't seem to agree with me, but I liked the four ghosts that helped you out, and I thought their stories were really sad. The graphics were outstanding, and I absolutely loved the style. I liked that you could customize Link, and find all kinds of interesting different weapons. The world is so big, and it felt satisfying to level up my stamina and being able to go to a new area because of it.
  16. I just use tax slayer, but my taxes are not complicated. I live abroad so I don't owe anything in income tax to the US. However, this year is a little different because I bought and sold some stocks. Very small dollar trade. I think I actually lost money on it a bit. I believe I bought like $300 in stocks and sold them for like $260 or something. I hope I don't have to pay taxes on that.
  17. Do any of you guys ever host or attend game nights (video game, tabletop, anything) with friends, family, your kids, etc? What do you do to prepare, and how much of a production is it? Do you put out food for everyone, or just people come over, pick up a controller and play smash bros? I'm curious to know what your guys' game nights are like.
  18. They are definitely concerned about it in the schools I work at. It makes me slightly nervous, but I am not terribly worried.
  19. I don't really have a lot of autographed memorabilia. I did back the AVGN movie and got a signed picture from James Rolfe, however.
  20. It's a fun watch, and while it can be goofy as hell, I actually kind of enjoy it. 6/10 from me, I'd definitely watch it if I were in the mood for a silly horror-ish movie.
  21. I definitely agree. Especially traveling abroad, it will change your perspective for sure.
  22. I finished college and lived at home for a few years while I worked building up a career in IT. I was becoming pretty successful, but I felt that North Eastern Maryland wasn't ultimately a place I wanted to live. My fiancee and I both moved abroad to Japan and began working as English teachers. Now we are getting married on Friday and are having a baby in May. I would say we've had our ups and downs in Japan, but to be honest we haven't really encountered much adversity over here. The Japanese people were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and my experiences have been very positive for the most part. I definitely miss my family, but it's still very easy to keep in contact with everyone, and they come visit once in a while. I haven't been back to the US since I left, though.
  23. "Hey remember that weird intermittent problem I was having with my laptop that I forced you to work on at thanksgiving but I couldn't replicate? It's acting up again. I thought you were supposed to be good at this stuff!?" - One person in every family.
