  1. Northeast Ohio as well. We have a lot of Ohio people. Welcome to the forum.
  2. I like them. I've had a few boxes get sticky from dust in storage. Protectors address that. Only issue I've ever encountered is the tab roughing up a box edge when closing. This is user error and repeated open/closing. Probably a nonissue for most.
  3. Hopefully some more people jump in. We don't want to claim all the keys.
  4. Final Fantasy X is one of my favorite games and GTA Vice City is up there too. I also remember enjoying a lot of SOCOM II online. One night I was playing and got surprised when a terrorist starting shooting me. Somehow I clenched my calves hard enough to give myself two charley horses. I remember laying on the ground for a minute after getting killed. I haven't gamed competitively since.
  5. I'm curious what the Pro will end up costing. Aside from the PS2 and Saturn all my consoles are HDMI modded. At this rate I would just buy a retrotink if that handled 480i better. I could end up with cash on hand afterwards too.
  6. Yup. I will add with multiple family members being diagnosed with COVID and me watching my 1 year old nephew while my sister has a baby I'm not taking chances. The establishments that handle it appropriately get my business. The ones that don't aren't seeing me. It's as simple as that.
  7. Sure. The market has had 100% of all patrons and staff I've seen there wearing masks. The traffic is light compared to the big chains as well. It's rereshing compared to the chain grocery stores. Plus the produce and spices are cheap. I got a whole makeral today for a couple dollars. It great. Not sure how identifying the type of grocery equated to calling out Asians apparently. They seem to service a fairly diverse clientel. I've muted this thread a while back and would appreciate being left out of the discussion.
  8. Exactly. Nintendo had great 8bit output but let's celebrate all of its history. A Peach's Castle from SM64, Luigi's Mansion..mansion. There's a lot they can pull from. I would like to see the switch online expand beyond the 8/16bit too. Tons of us grew up on N64 and GameCube. Hell they haven't even given us Gameboy. Nintendo is always secretive about stuff so for all we know they could have an e3 direct in the works that gives us all this.
  9. I started listing more last night and it's feeling good to clear out some clutter. Yesterday I hooked up the PS2 to the OSSC and 480i content looks really bad. If emultaor testing goes will that's another round of stuff leaving. It is currently the SOTN/FF X machine and I wouldn't mind a bit more free space.
  10. I hope Lego and Nintendo start doing some newer stuff. Nintendo keeps pushing the nes for their nostalgia and it's starting to feel lazy. Popping old roms onto stuff isn't impressing me anymore. Where's my Mario Party Minigame Island Lego set!? This set is neat though. Just not for me.
  11. Neither of my wife's grandparents thought it was a hoax when they had it. We are lucky the both bounced back. One was in the hospital for a couple weeks and on a respirator for a month or two.
  12. View Listing NeoGeo MVS, NeoSD, Controllers Well the time has come to sell my NeoGeo MVS setup. It is a 1C model with replaced battery. It has the neobiomasta, and unibios. The case is from Lions 3 and there is a compact supergun mounted into the front of the unit. I use an HDRetrovision Genesis cable (Not included) with the supergun into an OSSC and it works great. I would prefer to sell the lot but am open to parting out. Currently looking for offers but will update with pricing and more picutres. For Sale: NeoGeo MVS w/ NeoBiosMasta, Unibios, & Case Supergun and Power Supply NeoSD Flash Cart 2 Neo Geo Controllers Lister zeppelin03 Date 07/13/2020 Price Category For Sale/Trade
  13. Should we do anything with the forum post that is created after a sale? I have sold an item and the updated the classified but am not sure if I should be requesting thread locks etc.
  14. I would love to see Nintendo expand the use of other devs. Is there any reason an indie team couldn't make a 2D Metroid or Pilotwings? If Nintendo isn't willing to make these games let someone else do it for them and sell them at a budget friendly price. On Wii U they brought $40 games to console. Now it's seems they are back to will it sell at $60? No? Don't make it. Give me a good 2D Mario I can finish in a couple hours for $30. There has to be an audience for this stuff.
  15. https://www.retrorgb.com/gameboyplayer.html More reading if you are interested in it. There are a few comparison shots throughout too.
  16. If your action replay kit has the memory card adapter you put Swiss and gbi on it's micro SD card. It works really well. You can zoom and pan the image, change resolution, use different filters. With minimal effort you get a clearer picture than stock. I sold my player disc real quick after switching. You can even get a raphnet adapter to use super Nintendo controllers. I used a wireless 8bitdo for a while and that was great. Like a super gameboy advance when it was all done.
  17. I greatly prefer Symphony of the Night to classic Castlevania. Circle of the Moon was a one or two playthrough game for me. For those that like the classics these games have a ton of replay value.
  18. View Listing Gamecube Player, Action Replay, SD2SP2 I have a couple Gamecube accessories for sale. The gameboy player and action replay were used for the Game Boy Interface software. GBI is a significant upgrade from the default gameboy player disc. The software needed is on the microSD of the action replay. There may be updates available but this version was tested and working. The SD2SP2 takes a microsd card and adapts it to one of the ports under the console. The Swiss software (on the action replay memory card adapter) can read the sd card to boot backups and other software. Shipping included in US Gamecube Player - $25 SD2SP2 - $15 Action Replay - $20 $60 for the set. Trade I am interested in Sakura Wars - PS4 Persona 5 R - PS4 Black Gamecube Expansion Slot Cover ( The one that covers the area where the Gameboy player plugs in) Lister zeppelin03 Date 07/12/2020 Price Category For Sale/Trade
  19. I never really looked into that. I didn't realize Nintendo didn't make all the games until after the N64. I always just saw their name on the box and when you turned on the console. Rare, Neversoft, etc didn't mean anything to me. After that I started to notice but it took until the last few years to really follow developers/publishers. Now it's just for the ones to ignore (Ubisoft/EA).
  20. I would have loved for them to rework the base game of Sword/Shield. The wilds seemed like a tacked on afterthought. I went in hoping for a Xenoblade feel to roaming the region and got a safari zone. Apparently the way the DLC handles it is better but I have yet to play it. I hope Nintendo starts doing this but I have a feeling they are too proud to ever go back and alter a game like that after release.
  21. I think you are right about the indie space continuing to grow. GTA will be three generations and probably Skyrim too at this rate. GTA 3 and Vice City were a year apart. Now it will be 10+ for a sequel. Same for Elder Scrolls. If Red Dead Redemption 2 can stop an entire company from working on a second title at the same time something might be wrong with how games are being built.
  22. Nintendo seems to be good about telling you about a game when it's far along. The new Paper Mario is a good example. We know BOTW2 is happening but they have set no expectations for release. I wonder if other companies either waited to announce a game or didn't bother setting release windows would it help.
  23. I think the current model will be difficult to sustain. I really love games like Elder Scrolls, BOTW, and Red Dead Redemption 2 but not every game needs to be that big. Tomb Raider has struck a nice balance with a shorter story and linear levels. I would like to see a return to this going forward. Give me an interesting narrative and setting to progress through. Most AAA became these sprawling worlds and its really just dull at this point. There are a number of publishers (Ubisoft, EA) that I can automatically skip anymore because I know it will be the same old open world. I'm a bit of a graphics snob and would rather take a good looking 10 hour game then a lesser 40 hour open world. Things like Kena Bridge of Spirits have a great art style that I hope would be maintained throughout the whole game. Making it too big would likely take away from that. Recently I saw an article where the former head of Sony said the current model cannot continue. Either games need to go up in price or they need to drop to 20 or so hours. I agree. Developer crunch, expectations, and costs just don't seem to line up.
  24. Went for a walk this afternoon. Wore my mask through the building but kept if off outside since we can exercise without. We did a good job crossing streets often to avoid people. I was really disappointed to see a number of people walk into a grocery store without masks. Not surprised though. I may increase my Asian Market trips since they all mask up.
