I've been on a Pokemon kick last few months Trying to collect all the Pokemon games between Gen 4 and current Gen I missed without spending all my savings on it lol (which if any of you have been following Pokemon DS prices recently... you will know that's a challenge) I have all the 3DS games now, and got Platinum and Soul Silver (previously had Diamond, Pearl and Heart Gold for Gen 4, only White for Gen 5). Beaten Ultra Moon, X, and working on Platinum currently. Even had gotten Let's Go Pikachu and beaten that lol BTW anyone got Black 2 and/or White 2 and be willing to sell them, let me know lol

Game Debate #58: Donkey Kong Country
SpoonMan Abrams X replied to Reed Rothchild's topic in The Gauntlet
8/10 Great game though I like DKC 2 and 3 a lot more. 2 might be a 10/10. 3 at least 8.5 if not 9 -

Movie Debate #64: Super Mario Bros.
SpoonMan Abrams X replied to Reed Rothchild's topic in Everything Else
Necro posting here (as was looking for a different thread) to say I totally just noticed that this thread is "#64" in the movie discussions. Well done @Reed Rothchild lol -
In the context of the OP, Sony Nintendo and Sega were still around but then "vanished" being bought out or something? I feel like just naming another console.company as "taking over" wouldn't be sufficient. Unless I'm missing something you'd probably see the likes of Miyamoto and other luminaries in the industry just cropping up elsewhere. Certainly Atari would've been the go to. Companies like Microsoft or Apple in the US would've probably gotten into game much more and much sooner then they would have. Maybe even companies like Samsung or something elsewhere in the world.

4/10. I like this much less then Mario 64, as there's just too much shit to collect and nothing to ever really keep my interest. I did enjoy watching friends play it more then ever playing it myself.

6/10 It's not a great game by any means, but points for memes lol. Was best in the 6 in 1 pack in that included the superior Golden Axe and of course, Sonic 1 lol

Golden Gloves makes me think of this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Gloves A quick google seach also reveals a movie and something to do with Soccer shenanigans lol That's why one of the categories is the "Obligatory Annual @CasualCart Appreciation Award" where we just shower him with all the praise he deserves Real talk all those above categories are top notch. I can't think of anything to add off the top of my head Opty's would have be the meme/humourous awards Actually one addition; Werewolf awards as @Gloves seemingly won't ever get those done himself otherwise "Sagies" makes me think of the SAGYs (Shitty Ass Game of the Year Awards) that ScrewAttack used to do lol https://www.destructoid.com/the-nominees-for-screwattacks-first-annual-shitty-ass-game-of-the-year-awards/ I second this. "Sage Awards" or "The Sages" with a golden Sage icon all the way

Like many of the comments, I'm pretty sure I saw/played this game in my youth. Maybe not the most, but this game is a bit of a fever dream lol. Also a solid run and great to see a Japanese speedrunner on GDQ- 36 replies

Real Life things got in the way and I forgot til Tuesday that SGCQ 2021 Online is currently going on. There are some pretty good runs going on. Watching the Pokemon Black vs White Race atm, and it's a good watch. Anyone else been catching it this week?- 36 replies

Agree with this. The PS1 version was what I played and to my knowledge is the best version. YMMV but there are GBA and PSP version which are faithful remakes/rereleases of the game as well. There is also apparently a PC version released only in Japan and South Korea, which kinda begs the question why we haven't seen a PC/Steam release yet

I meant FF6 (FFVI) and Mistyped X instead of V, my bad lol Playful pedantry semantics aside, the fact that Lunar games hits all of the hallmarks of "standard JRPG" with turn based battles and set party of characters in a linear, progression based story, then I don't know how else you would describe it in one word/acronym

Game Debate #54: Final Fantasy X
SpoonMan Abrams X replied to Reed Rothchild's topic in The Gauntlet
7/10 I enjoyed the game a lot when I played it, but really have no desire to go back and do it again lol Also fond memories my friend with his completely broken save where he beats Yu Yevon in one hit with Yuna's staff doing over 100k damage lol -
8/10 because while it was gimmmicky, it did the gimmick pretty well and Wii Sports is a lot of fun. Also for the Virtual Console
