BortLicensePlate 652 Graphics Team ·
Capcom had some great music on the nes. I like the moon theme a lot, but I think it overshadows some of the other tunes in the game. I also love the Amazon theme
Tulpa 3,309 Member ·
I still prefer The Guardian Legend soundtrack. I also loved Castlevania's Heart of Fire, from the Grim Reaper level. But most of the first game's soundtrack is great. Batman's my favorite NES game, and the soundtrack is a big part of it. Sunsoft favored bass/drum heavy music. Camerica's Mig 29 Soviet Fighter soundtrack is pretty rockin', especially level 1. Camerica always had synth heavy soundtracks. Can't forget Tim Follin.

And I love all the modern interpretations of it, scarce as they are.
ZeldaFreak 3,432 Events Team ·
I'd agree that the Moon theme is one of the best 8-bit tracks for sure, though. It's absolutely amazing, although personally I'm more partial to the version from DuckTales: Remastered And the Mount Vesuvius theme from that game is absolutely amazing as well, even better than the Moon theme IMO. 1
RH 4,564 Member ·
The Duck Tales OST is probably my second favorite, only to Batman. Streets of Desolation > Moon Theme, in my opinion. I also prefer the Game Boy chiptunes to the NES, but both are still excellent.

Kguillemette 1,467 Member ·
Gamechops has a really fun dubstep cover of the Moon theme. For that matter, he has a lot of fun dubstep covers of classic 8bit tunes
chromableedstudios 24 Member ·
It's definitely pretty great. Not one I played as a kid or anything so no nostalgia blinders for me, just a great tune. I'm also a big fan of gunnac and rad racer 2 soundtracks. (And also vi, dancoot, Sergio E and others! Lots of good chiptunes/vgm... Wtb anamanaguchi cart if anyone has one floating around

Nintegageo 562 Member ·
I've considered posting how overrated it is in the Unpopular Opinions thread haha. It's a decent tune though the NES has ones that stomp it.

DoctorEncore 3,688 Member ·
I listened for 8 minutes before I realized it was on a 10 hour loop. Good tune, but not my favorite 8 bit track. Too many other masterpieces, especially on the NES.
