Glad you liked it! 21 hours ago, Svambo said: Had a lot of fun with this and can't wait to try it on NES. Due to the specific characteristics of the target systems, the C64 and the NES version will each have their own unique look and sound, which is absolutely fine. We will, however, attempt to provide the same level of playability and joy on both machines!

The visuals on both system are, of course, different. While the C64's colors are more flexible to use, the NES benefits from a higher resolution. Knights of Bytes | 75
Hi there, video gamers! What if two different 8-bit systems played the same song? Just for the fun of it, we took the Forest tune of Sam's Journey and put the C64's SID output on the left channel and the NES' APU output on the right. The unique characteristics of both chips complement each other really well. Enjoy our little symphony! Knights of Bytes | 75
Hi there, video gamers! No screenshot or video this time, but something no less important! Creating a video game like Sam's Journey is very much about writing code, designing worlds, drawing graphics and composing tunes. All of those tasks result in a huge bunch of digital data. But digital data alone is not the end of the story. If we want our Sam to look cool on the store shelves, things must get physical! And one of the things we need is a cartridge board to store the game on. A Collection Of Circuit Boards For NES Cartridges There are quite some circuit boards available for NES game productions, all of them with their own benefits and flaws. We ordered a collection of those boards to evaluate which model suits best the requirements of our game. This is a very exciting step in the development of Sam's Journey on the NES as it also marks the game's transition from a project to a product.
