That's just day 1 DLC tied to external toys which use NFC tech - you could just as easily have bought a programmable NFC card for literally a dollar a piece on Amazon and programmed that to be each of the 25 compatible NFCs to get the in-game items (none of which are required to actually enjoy the game). You're acting like this is the first time any game ever had Day 1 DLC and being scummy about it by using that to justify pirating.

    Be better.

    Your arguments and my rebuttals:

    A: It's day 1 downloadable content.

R: No, it's not. It's not downloadable content, it's part of the initial release of the game.

A: I could have paid more money to buy something cheaper than the toys and get the same end result.

R: No, I will not pay 5 cents if I already paid for the entire game. I paid for the whole game, I get the whole game, I'm not buying anything else.

A: It is not required in order to enjoy the game.

R: I don't care. It's part of the game, I paid for the game, I should get all parts of the game.

    A: Other games do it.

R: And? If someone else murders someone, is it okay for you to do it?

Imagine if you buy a movie and in order to watch the credits you have to tap a plastic toy on the remote control. The credits aren't required to enjoy the movie but does that sound bizarre? Do you think that should be allowed? If I pay for the movie, I want to see the credits without buying anything extra.

  2. I played through Breath Of The Wild when it came out and followed along in the official guide I have for it. I went page by page through the guide to make sure I had everything, even crossing off 900 of those Korok seeds from the included map. I got to one section with some swords and clothing with a description that they can be accessed by tapping the appropriate Amiibo but I couldn't find anywhere about how to get them without the Amiibo. I phoned Nintendo to ask them how I'm supposed to do it because I paid full price for the game and there were sections in the game I purchased which I could not access. They told me it was impossible, I had to buy hundreds of dollars worth of plastic toys in addition to purchasing the game in order to get all of the game's content.

I felt frustration with the fire of a thousand suns and vowed I would not pay for the next Zelda game that comes out in order to recover my portion of the game I did not receive. When Tears Of The Kingdom came out, I refused to pay for it and instead taught myself how to hack my Switch and installed a pirate copy I downloaded from a torrent. The game played perfectly and I got hours of enjoyment from it for free while Nintendo lost my $80 purchase price for the game because they tried to force me to buy plastic toys.

Releasing new content after the game's release is one thing, locking me out of items in the base game is totally different. I paid for those items and still have not received them.

  3. Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade is a completely different game from Taito and Ubisoft. Same name, same cover artwork, completely different games.

I was also poking around behind the scenes on Nintendo's website where I probably wasn't supposed to be and I found a few official lists that I have not yet released anywhere but here is a screenshot of a portion of one for NES. So I do have an official list of NES licensed releases straight from Nintendo.

So with these cart(s) , is there anything special serial number on the board(s) besides having " nes-event " and the number on the label on the front cover ?

Also , are these chip(s) on the board used any where else in the nintendo world ?

They aren't unique, someone already made new, indistinguishable copies using old period correct chips.

Maybe next time a blog pops up you might stumble on these to let you know it's a blog.

Valid point but it's weird a blog post showed up in the list of forum posts.

I did figure out how to filter though, so it will no longer be an issue. When clicking "unread content," you can filter out weblog posts in the results using the filter options at the top. I appreciate everyone's advice.

You wouldn’t get teased so much if you just stopped and thought for a second everytime something didn’t make sense to you. Ask yourself: “does it actually not make sense or if I make the slightest of efforts would I figure it out?”

You’re also known for making judgemental comments about other people here without asking follow up questions that would provide context. So when people feel a sense of schadenfraude over you flailing about in confusion, it’s frankly self-inflicted.

I appreciate the explanation but I try to simply ask others whenever I get confused, it seems like the easiest, most logical solution to anything. If I don't understand something, I have the option to stumble around and try to figure it out for myself or simply just ask. The problem is the way society seems to operate is that you can't ask people questions about why something works a certain way or why someone does something specific. People get uptight that you're challenging their methods when all I'm doing is just asking so I can understand and move on with my day.

I've been a member of this forum since the day it started and other forums since the mid 1990s. I have never in my life clicked a forum post and been taken to a middle entry of a weblog without any context nor explanation that I had left the forum entirely. The fact a weblog exists here is fine but you can't tell me it isn't confusing when the links show up on the forum side. I had no way of knowing I wasn't still on the forum. Can I hide these posts so I don't see them?

I'm sorry to have caused all this nonsense on a weblog post but I had to defend the fact that it's absolutely legitimate for me to be confused reading the middle portion of a story without any warning it was a story at all. If you go back and read how it started, all I did was ask Gloves if this was a forum, if I was still on the forum and how I got here. All I did was click on a link from the "unread content" section of the forum.

Bro THIS is his blog. You're commenting on his blog right now.

I must be really missing something here, I thought this was a forum. Do people call forums weblogs now?

Have you never clicked the 🍔 menu on this website?

I only ever click "unread content" and nothing else.

  8. Fun fact - that Skyline from The Fast And The Furious got crushed after it was seized by the FBI in a raid on Motor X, the company that imported it. They threw it into a crusher and destroyed it after it was deemed to be imported illegally. The Motor X fiasco is quite an interesting story, they imported 14 R34 Skylines before they got raided and after a long time trying to figure out what they should do, the government decided to send letters out to the 14 owners telling them they can keep their cars and register them legally even though they should be crushed. Only those 14 cars are legal R34 Skylines and no other Skylines are legal for import into the USA so if you know someone that owns one, chances are it's not legal and can be destroyed if they get pulled over.

Awesome! My advice to you would be to save sharing it with me for later.

Im going to be putting cash bounties on photographs for date codes things I don’t have. So you might have some good value sitting in that folder

When it comes to carts, I’m gonna need front, back, and circuit board. Boxes will need just the top right flap, and manuals will need front, back, page 1 & 2, and last page.

My list will be public, so if something isn’t on there then they can claim a bounty without having to wait for me to confirm it or not.

The idea is, I’m gonna be paying for this stuff one way or another, so I might as well draw from the wisdom of the crowd and save some money instead.

If you're selling it, you can buy it. If it'll be available for free, you can have it for free.....all of it. I'm a collector first and I want to contribute to the community.

  10. I have 400 boxes, 500 manuals and 600 cartridges photographed and categorized which I can contribute.

I'm also documenting cartridge chip dates to try and get an idea of print runs to find out exactly how many runs a game had, at approximately which dates and if it relates to rarity. A game that came out in 1993 with 2 print runs could be more common than a game that came out in 1988 with only one print run.
