  1. I was just thinking along the same lines. IIRC the latest Konami/Ultra releases to have known 5-Screw copies, are all games released no later than 1991. If this theory is correct it would stand to reason that the remaining Konami/Ultra games from 1992 - 1994 that have no known 5-Screw copies should have some 3-screw copies floating around out there with missing back labels.
  2. JusT WoW... lol He's got the look and the moves to back it up !
  3. I've been working on Destination Earthstar. Any lack of memory or precision in the later levels gets intensely punished. Try to imagine getting shot - and just when you've got ahold of yourself again from the shock and you're breathing again; 5 more bullies pop out of nowhere and take turns sticking their fingers in the bullet hole... but I think I'm getting close...
  4. Is it me or does this fella laugh like Ozzy in Chrono Trigger? Oh, please say we get to travel through time and drink Jurassic Pork Soup ! An' I wanna ride a pterodactyl too !!
  5. Break out the shoulder pads, skip the crizappy 25 second intro and take a trip back to the greatest decade of dance. You know its a party when Godzilla shows up to boogie down! Top This. Here's Fred Astaire Not Dancing For 5 And A Half Minutes, While Audrey Hepburn..... ... Well, Yeah; Things Are Getting Strange Now.. Stewie's Up And I'd better knock if off after this one, before I Rip Van Winkle it...
  6. I thought I'd submit this with a brief commentary: NA (Can) 3-Screw REV-A SOCCER For a little comparison I've noticed that a 3-Screw (Can) Gyromite is considerably more rare than than a 5-Screw but really not too hard to come by compared to a (U.S.) 3-Screw Gyromite. I've also noticed that a 3-Screw Volleyball is pretty rare but all in all not too difficult to lay hands on, (U.S. or Can) In this case, I've never seen a U.S. release 3-Screw Soccer. As far as I'm aware there aren't any known to exist. I've only seen this one once before.
  7. Seems like they don't really make that one anymore, or at least near me they don't have it on the online menu. Maybe I'll just keep my eyes peeled when I'm on the road...
  8. I would give the shelter a call again to double verify that it's there and then ask if the guy has been barred from the property. (I recommend summoning all of your strength in order to be as polite as possible. If you've never worked in a homeless shelter you have no idea how stressful it is.) If they say no he has not, then you just have to convince him. If they say yes, you'll have to do your best to sweet talk whoever you get to speak with into allowing him to come by for it, maybe just showing up at the door outside or something - might have to explain how important it is to you and request that they let their staff know the deal. ...and take lots of deep breadths.
  9. Nope, 1st end/saving of the King only. Plotting and executing that course was challenging enough for the time being. Fun game though, I'll def. be hunting down the crystal balls and Secret Coins for best ending at some point...
  10. I've been, but only VERY casually so far; and I wouldn't dream of claiming it at my current skill level..
  11. I never met an olive I didn't like. And I like my chocolate like ( -fill in name of universally despised personality here- )'s Soul -- Dark and Black.
  12. Anchovies Kalamata Olives Artichoke Hearts Oyster Mushrooms Any Seafood Ginger Whole Garlic Cloves Habanero Peppers Taco Pizzas Also Totally Kick Ass, especially with way too much sour creme on top, mmmmm (Homer Simpson tongue hanging out throat noise here)
  13. I'm looking to double check on the requirement for Clue. It has no default difficulty level. Instead the game requires the player to select 1 of 5 levels in order to start the game - Amateur, gumshoe, Sleuth, P.I. and Detective. So I'm just wondering if Sleuth is the requirement or if any setting will do.
  14. I misplaced my over-world map for Dragon Warrior II a few years ago. I had it in an envelope that was kind of an obscure size and shape and I have literally never thrown out a pile of papers in my adult life, without first looking through and carefully examining each one. I figure it's probably inside a book on a bookshelf somewhere. Trouble is, I've got a lot of books. lol
  15. I didn't want to see it, but I was curious about it so the day it came out I read through the plot and since then have watched some clips and commentaries on occasion. Not voting since I've never seen the whole movie front to back. I firmly believe that these sequels were deliberately made horrible in order to traumatize the public (Yes I'm 100% Serious.) The Jedi/Skywalker Line was Killed Off (I don't believe that can be done by accident) and Palpatine would seem to have achieved his goal of swapping his consciousness into Rey, followed by the extermination of his old body and perhaps Rey's consciousness as well. Palpatine then usurps the Skywalker name, passing himself off as a counterfeit Skywalker like a wolf in sheep's clothing. The message to the masses would seem to be "Evil Wins In The End." I suppose there may be worse movies out there, but this had "Star Wars" in the title and is supposed to be regarded as canon. It's called "Star Wars", but they made "Suspiria", instead. @7:20 could provoke laughter or tears...
  16. I suppose the rules may be getting bent slightly but: I frequently confuse Nancy Kerrigan w/Lana WachowskiI I also can't tell the difference between Hunter Thompson and the Dali Lama I'm convinced that these two have a parent and child relation Once the hips start swiveling I can't tell Bruno from Elvis I have no idea who's who between Saffron and Melania And finally, I'm 100% certain that one of these is the same as the other after a full body shave
  17. @CasualCart Sure, it's a program run on a console and or computer; and as long as you're prepared to defend/describe how it is a game to you (not asking, I totally get it.) Only other contingency is that your intention is not to somehow produce a grand-scale flashing S.O.S. sign to signal passing ships or planes for your rescue so that you do not have to spend the rest of your life playing just one game, lol. @TDIRunner Nice try; you are hereby awarded 1 Special-Imaginary-Coin Point for your efforts to think outside the box. Keep up the good work !
  18. Good question. Here is my best answer: Everyone may presume to have all that is necessary to play their one game of choice, however, in this case although you have online functionality, let's also presume that you only have a very few other online folks to play your game with; they are also each on their own separate desert island with the same one game you've chosen. Also, said folks are totally unwilling to converse with you in any regard beyond the basic necessary game play, for you sir, or ma'am possess the "wrong" political beliefs. In other words, you are totally isolated w/o any significant human contact and your game of choice should still be chosen based on best possible replay value, and not for the purpose of maintaining a real connection with other human beings. Also, no assumption of being able to acquire infinite downloadable add-ons every week/month/year etc. for your game as that would totally refute the concept of isolation from the world and the selection of 1 game for REPLAY value. While running a gaming console or computer on a desert island is perhaps not the most practical fantasy, I came up with it to try and best emphasize total isolation from the world and people in order to highlight replay-ability over "all time favorite game" consideration etc. If anyone would prefer to imagine themselves in a prison cell for life with a staff that for some reason allows prisoners to possess a gaming console and one game, that would also serve the purpose. For that matter if you'd prefer to be on a mountain top or a ship at sea or a floating island in the sky or the planet boo-ga-loo or another dimension entirely, it's all good to me; whatever you like. Lots of great answers/explanations so far as well as games that are yet unexplored by yours truly !

  20. So you're relegated to a desert island for the rest of your life, alone. It's just you and the sand and an indestructible solar array hooked up to a console with your 1 game of choice. You spend your time procuring food, patching the leaf roof on your hut, swimming and relaxing with your one and only game chosen on the merit of best possible replay value. GO! ...Also, my inspiration for this was beating Mighty Bomb Jack a couple of days ago. I won't bother trying to explain all the rules here, but it sure is a dynamic game. There are so many ways to accomplish your goals as you venture ever deeper into this labyrinthine maze and so much hidden stuff you could easily be at it every day for years before figuring out every last trick and jabberwocky that this strategic nightmare has to offer, including a 45-room grid microcosm of a maze squirreled away within the greater maze, just to acquire a single item so that you can access a couple of rooms later in the game. Whew! It seems to present a nearly endless array of "Now, just how am I going to avoid all of the enemies coming at me in this rooms set up?" -type situations. So if you ever want to get some practice at that kind of thing, look no further. I also noticed that Jack's cape/floating ability (Tap "A") would seem to be a precursor to Mario's flight/floating with tail/cape...
  21. I may be bending the rules here slightly, but I'll go with The Simpsons: Bart Vs. The World. If you collect all of the Secret Krusty Items there's a special ending where Bart throws pies at Burns and Smithers indefinitely. But the real prize is that just before this theater the player is gifted with a two-stage secret level to play. It starts out on an artists board and features a cameo appearance from "The Happy Little Elves" who are raining from the sky, before moving on to stage two which takes place on a reel of film. The player can scroll Bart down along the sprocket holes and play each "level" of film from left to right or right to left until finding the exit. The level layout is not particularly user friendly just the way I like it. Also, Itchy and Scratchy show up to cause trouble. What better ending could there be than additional game play?
