  1. Going against SoR 2 on any greatest game list is always a challenge
  2. I am more biased on the DQ games but here are my votes FF1 (DQ was the pioneer of its own so hard to compete with it) DQ2 (Both have issues but FF2 leveling is pretty wacky) DQ3 (Played a little FF3 on the DS but can't reach what DQ3 did for me) DQ4 (FF4 is amazing but love the story and what DQ4 did on the NES/Famicom and love the DS remake along with the rest of DQ games) DQ5 (FFV is great but age periods and monster party mechanics makes me enjoy DQV more FF6 (FF6 is an SNES masterpiece but DQ6 is still gem of a game that gets overshadowed by the other DQ games) FF7 (FF7 was groundbreaking while DQ7 was similar to the later releases and grindy and slow as well, at least the 3DS release made me enjoy it. DQ8 (Didn't play FF8 and doesn't seem as fun as DQ8) Can't really vote for the stuff above 9 as yet to play DQ9 or 10 or FF 10 or FF11 but picked FF9, DQ11, and FF10 for being released outside of Japan.
  3. I played it recently, enjoyed it but Oyster Bay(?) level was extremely tough for me to enjoy.
  4. I gave it a 7 for personal tastes and good platformer. It walked so Pitfall 2 can run.
  5. I heard people say its like Ogre Battle but doesn't give me the vibes when I look at it.
  6. People may like Aladdin but it can't compete with SoR2
  7. I was really torn between Shinobi II vs Alisha Dragoon and Gain Ground vs Battle Mania. Those were some tough choices!
  8. 9 for being a staple on the NES for me growing up and one of those games I can come back to again. Not the 10/10 of Outrun but it sort of fills the void for the NES. Rad Racer and 3D World Runner really makes early Square look like they copy Sega games for NES library.
  9. 7 for me. Halo was successful for online multiplayer so if you were stuck with single player like me it wasn’t the optimal experience. I preferred Timesplilters 2 and 3 and Castle Wolfenstein on the Xbox for the single player stuff and I could Timespliters to be funner couch experience. Still Xbox would not succeed with Halo. Just ask the average person what Xbox had when it came out and they could not response anything beside Halo
  10. Does it included the infamous Valis X game?
  11. I finally got a NES rerelease to get excited for. Zombie Nation is one of my favorite bonkers NES game and I am ok getting a Switch and NES copy. https://store.strictlylimitedgames.com/collections/abarenbo-tengu-zombie-nation
  12. Any Mega Man Game on the NES is awesome, even thought the first one has its issues that got refined in later games.
  13. The earlier Capcom games, Commando in particular, are quite buggy and give me some unlicensed vibes when I see them in action.
  14. I find it mixed. I know that it might limited the amount of NES being released but market wise it was probably a sound decision. If they didn't have that rule, I could have seen a lot of publishers bring any game that they could get their hands on and dump it into stores, not to mention the slew of existing Famicom games that could be easily brought over.
  15. You would lose if you made a drinking game that you drank every time YouTube video game channel referred the CDi as a video game console.
  16. I got a pair of Bose 301 series II for cheap and they sound pretty good but I wouldn't want to pay for inflated Bose prices to begin with. Cool that the creator of Bose wanted to focus on sound reflection and cool for making it different. I am just happy I am making use of that Panasonic FZ1 that been sitting dust, other than Road Rash and Cannon Fodder, I haven't found much games to enjoy it with and it been collecting dust which is a shame since it is a nice piece of hardware. I am just glad I can make use of it I guess.
  17. Vinyls are great till you have to move.
  18. I got back to my 3DO. I had to replace capacitors due to failing audio but I managed to test some cds and sounded great. I think I might hook it up for my audio system to mess with when I get the time
  19. The NSO is dead to me for not putting Earthbound on it yet. Honestly, the biggest grievance I have for the service is the quality and quantity of releases on the NES and SNES library. I was expecting more cooler titles to happen more frequently but it seems mostly at a snail pace with titles that no one really asked for, even though they do manage to put in a gem now and then.
  20. Love Mega Turrican and thee bastardized Universal Soldier on the Genesis. Turrican 1 on the Genesis really hard due to the instant draining of health in the game. I really been wanting to play the SNES ones and even the European NES port.
  21. Every time I see a clickbater online with nintendo Switch Pro rumors I take a shot of liquor. I am more likely needing a new kidney before Nintendo makes a Switch Pro.
  22. Okami, Crytalis, and Crusader of Centy are Excellent. They are pretty well mention here but I want to talk about my other 3 which are Landstalker, Mystical Ninja Staring Goemon, and Golden Axe Warrior. Golden Axe Warrior is a Golden Axe theme Zelda which might be derivative but its a great game that is much need in the SMS library which I am thankful for. Mystical Ninja on the N64 is a fun 3D adventure that I rank up high on the N64. Really fun and charming like Okami. Landstalker has that Shining Force style that I like and a cool Isometric presentation that isn't too much of a problem. There is probably others but someone will mention them.
  23. 10/10. Really a great Sega Genesis game and a must play. Really fun with 2 players.
  24. Some shmups is pretty much suicide to start of the game if you die and lose your powerups. There are some shmups that is impossible to continue back to square one power.
  25. I love the nes and n64 but I do prefer the Genesis over the Snes, probably for the shmups
