  1. Now that is a released i am interested in getting. I would have gotten the Toaplan if I already didn't have the games before hand but I am happy LRG are releasing stuff that never got a physical release.
  2. I gave it a 6. Its a classic game but holy crap its has cheap deaths abound that didn't aged well. The later ones improved on the gameplay though. However, if its Wonderboy on the SMS I would give it a 7 just because any decent game on the SMS is a great thing.
  3. For me the gameboy, game boy color and GBA aged bad with the over abundance of watered down ports and licensed shovel ware that litters the game stores. DS was also filled to the brim with shovel ware and gimmicky touch stuff software but that’s it’s own quirk of its time. On the subject, one thing I do enjoy about the 3DS is that it didn’t get filled with shovel ware as bad as previous handhelds as mobile gaming became the big dumping ground. When I try looking at the Switch Eshop store though I feel nauseous looking all the garbage especially weird dating stuff on it
  4. I could have put the GameCube on my top as well since it had great games and some gems to make me keep it. Also the controller is one of my favorites since the right face buttons are different shapes making them easier to hit on quick command segments. Also I would say it was Nintendo’s last traditional console before they made the motion based Wii and Wii U.
  5. I am going to support the console that got me into gaming, the N64. It might aged unwell with the controller and cartridge over disc kept developers away but I don’t think current games wouldn’t be what it be without it.
  6. Solid 8. I consider it a pioneer in platforming and an arcade classic but it doesn’t engage me like some others
  7. I had trouble rating it in my opinion. The Saturn has some amazing games and its like the TG16 for me as it was a blast discovering games on a system I never played younger. However, the fact the games are more uncommon than Playstation or N64 and good amount of the gems are japanese make me give it a 7 even though I should have gave it a 8. As much as it is a fun console, its accessible really does prevent me from enjoying it more.
  8. I never played one or found one in the wild for cheap as I have no motivation to track one like I did for a tg16/pc engine. I think the only game I would be interested in is Tempest 2000 but I got other 16 and 32 consoles that I rather play. I would at least rank it higher than the 5200 for having working controllers.
  9. I gave it a 6 but maybe I should have gave it a 7 instead. There are quirks that haven’t aged well on the game like the life system and having to make long treks when resuming a save file but the game is unique and has some solid stuff to it. I manage to beat it on my actual copy but been wanting to replay it on a modded version that irons some of the issues if anyone can suggest I should have gave it a 7 for having one of the best dungeon music in a Zelda game.
  10. Lately Nintendo and the Switch been not pleasing me as it did but than again Covid affect a lot of things.
  11. Golden Sun, the Metroid games, Tactics Ogre, and Wario Ware 4 comes to mind but I might have spent the most hours on Advance Wars.
  12. 10. One of the greatest GBA games and my favorite in how simple yet challenging it can get. Also it gets the extra point over the other installments for the victory and defeat animations of the COs during battles that the later ones don't have.
  13. Hello everyone. I am seeing if anyone has the Box for Skeleton Krew for Sega Genesis and the Box and papers (or at least box) for Golden Sun.
  14. I gave it an 8. I got it when the GC when it was released and at the time it was alright. I thought like others here it was a filler game till the big Mario game came out. Funny as I got older I ended up liking Luigi Mansion more and SM Sunshine more of a hassle. I enjoy it more now for being a unique game and great weekend game plus the later games improved on the game especially Luigi Mansion 3.
  15. This website wouldn't exist without it. 10/10 It really brought home video games from mostly simple arcade format into other genres it has no contest. If I would talk anything negative is that the constrictive Nintendo licenses that hampered its library (especially limiting Famicom games porting over), the finicky cartridge ports on the toasters, and the huge amount of games not really worth playing anymore. Still, glad I collected for it and I am too stubborn to cash out.
  16. That Tony Hawk 5 was an uncaring attempt of Activision to keep the Tony Hawk license that they put a tiny amount of a buggy game on a disc and put a larger patch to fulfill the licensing requirements.
  17. I had one and could never enjoy it due to the faulty controllers. It has good games but with the controllers and games ported on other systems I never enjoyed it
  18. A solid 10. Even if it’s a PlayStation game with 3d graphics and later MGS games are more refined, the game is a classic with all the design and quirks that make the game fun and unique.
  19. I own an Odyssey 2 and the best thing I can say about it is the packing art and box construction is really well done. Also they had some games that came in a large box and used the pieces along with the game. I have the Stock market game and the quest of rings but I never mess with it http://www.brooklynboysgames.com/odyssey2/Quest_for_the_Rings.jpg Other than the packaging, the system is pretty lackluster as Magnavox never had the output as Atari or Mattel so is a 4 for me. It didn't help the fact their big game KC Munchkin got halted due to an lawsuit with Atari. I haven't touched it for years but still keep it since its not big money and not worth me selling it like I did with my Atari 5200.
  20. Another Switch Pro controller. I just wished it came in other colors beside black.
  21. I get 3DO vibes from the Wii U for the same reasons you mention. Both had great software but since the consoles failed to garner a viable base, most of the games got ported to more successful consoles, making the consoles less appealing to seek out for exclusives. At least they make interesting pieces on an entertainment console though
  22. I gave it a 5. Really good presentation and concept but it has the BS of its ages that holds it back. I would totally replay it with a hacked version that makes it more enjoyable.
  23. I feel that Mario 3D world and New Super Mario Brothers are always the second tier Mario games that reuses existing idea instead of wild and new like Galaxy and Odyssey. Still fun to play but not as the same level of experience as the major Mario games.
  24. I gave it a 4 even though I am not in the position to judge the system. It had some great first party games and its a bonus that its Wii backwards compatible. However, I felt it was a continuation of the Wii and the screen controller failed to gather interest from thirdparty publishers and buyers. It doesn't help the legacy that it was discounted early to focus on the Switch and that good amount of the hits are now on the Switch. It has some fun games that I considered getting for it before the Wii U got discounted but I am glad that they are now ported to the Switch. Hard to believe that Nintendo was able to rebound so well from it.
  25. The later games might have it beat, but I still love Mario Kart 64 for my favorite. Just for the memories and still fun to play today that makes the N64 still relevant despite its issues.
