  1. I don't have it with me but I been meaning to try out my JVC X'eye and see how it sounds with CDs. I assumed since it was a higher end unit the sound quality should be better. Anyone tested one out?
  2. I was reading about the PS1 and how some models are sought after for their audio CD playback quality. Is there other any CD based consoles known for their Audio CD sound?
  3. I am giving it a 9 for being a simple adventure game. Its one of those simple games to play for a little adventure and with a hack to make it less grindy would make it more enjoyable.
  4. 9, great experience and reminds me of Punch Out on max trying to figure out how to take down massive monsters. One of the PS2 games I will always keep.
  5. 8, great game but never like it like Super Mario Land and sometimes the game bores me quicker than other games.
  6. I gave it a 6 if I would be critical with it. Its a fun arcade romp with glorious Sega cheese which was good for its time as an arcade game and early Sega pack in title.
  7. I took a break from nes but seeing games like micro mages is very impressive. Like you guys are saying home brewing gotten more into nes hardware the past years that took me unaware.
  8. That’s tough since I am partial to the nes mega man but it can go both ways. It doesn’t help the nes trilogy that the first mega man was a trial run to put it nicely and had issues improved on the later games.
  9. Screen looks nice but I am already invested my current switch to justify on a new model, especially if it doesn’t provide an hardware improvement for more advance games.
  10. Nintendo, Sega and Sony of that period was carrying gaming during that period. Doom did create interest in computer gaming so that would have carried people into PC but a lot of console demographic wouldn't carry over. NEC,3DO, and Atari didn't not connect to the masses and even with the major three out of the picture they wouldn't fill the void. It would take 5 or 6 years for Microsoft to come with the Xbox so it would be interesting if they put out a 32-128 bit console during the later half of the 90s.
  11. All sorts of games but I want to see if there is any home brews that rival some of the great released stuff
  12. I am getting back into the NES and wanted to know what new stuff is worth checking out. I took a break for a few years from the console and unfamiliar with all the new stuff coming out for it.
  13. 10 but I am very bias on that game for being my first N64 experience. I still find the game charming and the collecting and puzzles make it a relaxing and enjoyable game along with Banjo Tooie. Its still a collectathon game that if you are not into it not be your cup of tea but its much managable than DK64
  14. Way too early to gauge the PS5. With rampant scalping and Covid affecting console production and limiting game development for the high production games, the PS5 along with the Xbox going to take another year the library to really show.
  15. Mcafee is that crazy but resourceful so that anything could have happen.
  16. That is tough as both are great games. Could I play OoT but in Master Quest? Majoras Mask is great but some parts of it didn't age well.
  17. Gave it a 9 since its so convenient to go between handheld and console. It also helps that gives Nintendo its niche that Microsoft and Sony doesn't want to compete in. Also it helps that the Switch is lower tech that doesn't require huge cost to produce a game for unlike the higher end consoles that is still reeling from Covid issues. The only criticism I can give it is Joycon drift, which I never had but awful for people who have it, and that Nintendo gets complacent when they get successful. I wish they had some motivation to improve the system menu and store since its so clunky especially now that so many games are available to it. Also I want either a N64 games to be on the system. I would pay money to play Ogre Battle 64 on the go right now.
  18. Solid 8 or 9 since its a charming and enjoyable game that fit well on the DS.
  19. I would give it a 10 but giving a 8 out of pettiness that it killed the Dreamcast and hogged most of the gaming library.
  20. I like the N64 Star Wars games for being part of my gaming childhood but the next generation were my favorite with KoToR and SW Battlefront. I am not really into Star Wars but I love what KoToR offered for game and story.
  21. I gave it a 7. Its a unique console and it has some really fun games and Wii sports and resort is still fun to play with family and friends. However, I guess I am more of a traditional video games and find most of the library too gimmicky or just shovelware. I am glad its backwards compatible with the Gamecube and also showed that a video game system can be interesting without better graphics and performance.
  22. I have yet to play PS1 version but played the Sega CD ones. Like mention earlier, it has that Working Designs dialogue that parts did not aged well but there is also the infamous Working Designs increased difficulty. Here is the link for patches for Unworked Designs for the games. I used it to replay Popful Mail and the difficulty was more enjoyable. https://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=23436.0 I might replay Vay again with the hack since I didn't want to grind for that awful Wind Elemental boss. I have awful memories of it.
  23. I just find the game the most fitting game for 32x. Somewhat impressive but rushed and unplanned like the system.
  24. I haven’t played one but there has been anything on the library to make me want to get one. It’s probably is a great console to play on. I give more credit to Microsoft in there ability of focusing on backwards compatibility than Sony
