  1. Solid 10. Best beat'em up, best Genesis game, and possible best game ever. One of the first Genesis games I played and first beat'em game I played and most Genesis games or Beat'em don't measure close in the enjoyment. Even SoF 3 and 4 still can't top it.
  2. That tough, I love the setting of Vice City but Rockstar knocked it out of the park with San Andreas with all the content and ideas they put into the game. Sure it the game and the 3D trilogy has things that didn't aged well like redoing the entire long mission when fail instead of checkpoints but the missions, world building, characters, and voice actors make it so good. I do love 5 but that game gives me so much frustration outside of the game itself. I got the PS3 copy but it doesn't work with a backwards compatible PS3 and when I bought the Steam version I have to deal with a Rockstar account that I don't want to use or have to run additional software for which Rockstar 2K games been milking a years old game.
  3. This might be personal bias but I give it a 6. I got a used backwards compatible one and since I was a poor college kid, I didn't have a LCD tv at the time to enjoy most of the PS3 games due to needing that widescreen resolution. I did enjoy MGS4, Saints Row 2, Dead Rising, and Katamari Forever on it while experiencing most of the PS2 games I never played before. This was also the time I was going to PC games so I neglected the system. While it was better quality system then the Xbox 360, I felt the high price and difficult hardware architecture really puts it points behind the PS1 and PS2 and the fact that it will be impossible for the exclusive games to be ported over will hinder it's legacy unlike the 360.
  4. My favorite thing when I used to collect for Atari 2600 is finding the later release gems of the system when they got development down but the crash cut copies short. The later Activison games like Beamrider, Cosmic Commuter, Hero, and Pitfall II and Sega's Rootbeer Tapper and Up and Down, and Frogger Three Deep were my favorite in the wild finds for the system.
  5. I gave the 2600 an 8. For what the 2600 is today its charming for its low tech and simplicity of its games. Also I enjoyed going to flea markets and pawn shops and getting games for a buck a piece to mess with while reading the history of the games and companies on the Atari Age. It is a must have for history purposes. The 2600 also as the best explosion sound effects for a video game console imho.
  6. I played it many years ago but love the clicky thumbstick.
  7. Its a classic game for the system and great for an afternoon for gaming and seeing what path you want to take gives it extra replay value.
  8. Already bought it. I wanted to see if anyone was offering a Micro as well.
  9. Hello, my friend wants a gba SP or a micro if it’s not too absurd for price. As long it works since she wants a custom shell for it. Hope to get a reasonable one for the price.
  10. For personal reason and what it did for gaming I am going to give it a 9 or a 8. I want to say its the first, or at least what would become, modern console with an harddrive and online capabilities being a computer as a console. The Xbox today isn't well remember since it shares a lot of the library with PS2/Gamecube and PC ports but for what it did it was amazing for its day especially in comparison to the PS2 and Gamecube. Also it was the first system you can really hack and mod making it the first Rasberry Pi in a sense.
  11. Its really a difficult console to judge due to the various ups and downs it has but I have to give it a 9 since it gave some groundbreaking games like Zelda: OoT, Mario 64, and Goldeneye and without them video games wouldn't gotten the ideas to progress into the 3D gaming. Also even though it has a limited library with various games that aged poorly, it has some classic games especially multiplayer games that people still enjoy and play together. It should probably got a 8 or 7 with the cartridge, controller design, and imbalance of genres on the console but despite drawbacks it managed to carve out a legacy.
  12. I remember reading that it was the most successful video game console in Japan lasting over ten years and really well in Korea. Even Nintendo had a Pokemon game for it https://segaretro.org/Sega_Pico#Games
  13. 9 Great NES throwback but the reason why I rate it so high that Yacht games did a great job updating all the ports of the game. I bought the Shovel Knight 3DS physical copy and I was still able to update it to have all the DLC for free. But I can't enjoy the Plague Knight gameplay though.
  14. One of those games I love for what it is even though I am awful at it.
  15. 7800 was doomed due to the crash and Tramiel.. I think of it like the Sega 32X since it can play an existing library of games and compliments the library. Food Fight makes the 7800 worthwhile in my opinion and Ninja Golf is an experience to play. The basic controller is garbage but works unlike the 5200 but the NES copy controller is alright. I give it a solid 5 but worth picking up to experience 2600 and some of the 7800 ports.
  16. I prefer the Genesis for my classic Shmups but I always enjoy a game of Zanac on the system.
  17. As much as I like the system, I am giving it a 7 or 8 since of the poor western distribution and various system variations that worked or failed making it bit of a chore to fully experience the system. I give the Genesis and SNES one point over it but the TG16/PC Engine is still an experience to play and deserves its golden standing. I also have to add if we are talking about CD attachment, I give the TG/PC a solid 8 or close to a 9, much higher than the Sega Cd which I would give it a 6 or 7 if I am generous since there are much more timeless games that made use of the CD than awful FMV games.
  18. Hello everyone. Just getting back playing my GBA games and I always kept my boxes to my games but I never had the box and manual for Golden Sun. Anyone have a spare for sale?
  19. I got the Mega Everdrive Pro a few weeks ago and its nice to play Sega Cd games on it when I travel with my Genesis and I recommend it. I ordered it from Ukraine where they make it and it took weeks for their mail to ship it to the US due to the Coronavirus I think so let this be a warning for people wanting one now. My next Everdrive will be the N64. I have most of the US library beside Worms and Clayfigters SC but the cool thing I want to do is play is the 64DD stuff and those modded/hacked games, especially the WWF/WCW Aki games
  20. Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS1, Xbox OG, GB/GBA, and Saturn are etched into my mind permanently and kudos to the designers to making memorable intros. However, the one theme I am partial to the most is the Sega CD, both 1 and 2 models. I got both my models that needed repair and getting the intro to pop up was such a reward for fixing theme.
  21. Hello everyone. I sold games back on NA but this will be my first one on this site. I came across a Pokemon XY 3ds CIB with games and posting for offers. I really am searching for Sega Genesis stuff mostly for boxes and manuals. I am always tempted in guitar stuff so let me know about it. Prices: Will take bundle discounts and lower offers Pokemon 3DSXL boxed with some wear with protector: $140 Bravely Default: $25 Fantasy Life: $25 Tales of Abyss: $25 Kingdom Hearts: $15 Pokemon Moon :$20 Pokemon Y: $20 Final Fantasy Explorers: $10
  22. One trend I dont find sustainable is increasing download data required in games included physical copies and update patches. Big AAA are getting 50GB or even 100GB while internet speeds are still stagnant in the world especially parts of the US.
