  1. If earlier the print run the better, shouldn’t sealed collectors be clamoring for the real first print i.e. the Japanese releases?
  2. I can't trust any grade from Wata, since they have proven to be deceptive.
  3. Cool to see these sell well and Zelda went for more than I thought. Nice!
  4. also NHL94 is one my favorite 2-player games of all time! Great stuff.
  5. If you have an iPhone... Go to> Settings>Phone>Silence Unknown Callers The only issue is to make sure to turn it off if you are expecting a call from someone not in your contacts like a mechanic, pizza guy etc., otherwise it goes straight to voicemail. And my understanding is to not answer the call, otherwise it shows you are a "live and legitimate" number and they will keep calling.
  6. #1: Mega Man 2 Honorable Mention: Chrono Trigger, Streets of Rage 2, Street Fighter 2
  7. Very interesting, I have #77/666. There's def some test pressings around as well. But your records are in great shape! Mine have had many many spins on the turntable. Sean was making cool records for awhile and is awesome to see almost the whole catalog here. Mega Man 2 is almost 10 years old now. Good stuff
  8. Was gonna tag you Great collection OP. I have #1 and #3 and I sold the Zelda one to a buddy. The Castlevania one is numbered out of 666 (you have it listed numbered out of 300). Good luck with the sale!
  9. Ok I just beat the Heart (w/ the Defect) so I thought I would add my rating which is 8/10. I started playing this game a few months ago. I really enjoy it and I appreciate tabletop card games much more now. If there was more enemy variety or just more variety in general I would rank it higher.
  10. If #16 is available I am interested! How much is shipping to California?
  11. I saw that CGC gave a 9.8 A+ to a scratched up Phantom Hourglass, so if you like leniency with sealed grading than CGC is a good choice.
  12. I definitely see your point. And I would imagine it depends on: a. How large a collection you have b. Where it is located in your place. c. How many guests come to your house d. How much you have spent on certain items and willingness to disclose that I have a small collection and a small amount of guests so it doesn't bother me too much, but I could see where it would become tiresome to talk about!
  13. This is a really interesting point and I'm curious how others feel. I would assume most of us are not ashamed, but we may not want to be judged or labeled by others due to our collections. Personally, I feel like this is who I am and I let it all hang out. I have Donkey Kong, Mario, Zelda and more stuff behind me in my Zoom background (I work from home and take lots of meetings). I play Dungeons & Dragons. I love having my game collection on display, and I love showing anyone my shelves (although they probably are not as excited about my DK Jr. Math as I am). Games are meant to be displayed (jk) I know some folks do not want to show off their collection to people due to safety concerns (lot of value there). And I believe @fcgamer that you play music, work, enjoy food...games are just a small part of who you are and not one thing defines you. I have plenty of other hobbies as well. Also, the people who come over to your place may have garages full of games and will just throw them away because they had no clue you would be interested in it. I tell everyone I know for that reason. But I do hear you. At this point in my life, IDGAF, this is me. And I celebrate other people's passion, if it makes you happy then have at it!
  14. What a great game. I'm a casual Niners fan, since my GF's Dad is a huge fan (and my hometown city doesn't have a team anymore). Should be a good game next Sunday.
  15. I actually just started my Excel sheet a few months ago (but I have been using the Retro Collector app for several years prior). I copy/pasted the data from the Retro Collector app into the spreadsheet, so when you click on each game in the spreadsheet it goes to Ebay listings. And granted I have less than 120 NES games now, I but I was able to remember lots of info and used old messages/emails and photos to get as much info as possible to fill in the gaps. I still don't have the slightest clue where I acquired some games. And there's a handful of games I either bought in college or had before high school. Would love to figure out that exactly, but no way to tell. Here's my part of my jank spreadsheet. Through my research (mainly from old OfferUp and Craigslist listings), there was an additional 100+ games that went through my hands at some point. Pretty cool to see all these details.
  16. Oooh yeah I remember I almost sold you my Mega Man 2. I sold my Zelda one when I was strapped for cash. Mega Man 2 is numbered out of 250 and came out in 2014, the first Moonshake release. Castlevania is numbered out of 666 Zelda is numbered out of 500 What a great feat to get all those plus the 10 or so other releases by Moonshake. My buddy has the Dr. Mario 7-Inch which is super cool.
  17. I used to be a vinyl DJ for a few years, lots of fun. At one point I amassed several crates: 1 hip-hop, 1 dub reggae, 1 rock/funk, 1 electronic and small case of 45s. Sadly the prices got out of hand and even the bargain bins began to be overpriced. I was always looking for something new. Currently I have some video game soundtracks w/ Streets of Rage 1-2 (Data Discs) and Golden Axe (Data Discs) not pictured, with the rest of my collection in storage or given away. I'll never forgot UnfortunateFace (Sean D) coming to NA to announce his Mega Man 2 record. He was so new, he wasn't sure about the fidelity of 8-bit soundtracks, so the tracks on that one are super short. Recently I saw his records ended up in a museum in Italy.
  18. I've been using Excel as well, and tracking where, when and how much I payed for a game. I think I got the formulas right but I found some cool stats like 13% of my games were purchased online, and only 8% I'm not completely certain where I got them. And I never paid more than $30 for a game over the last 10 years.
  19. Grading is crazy. Look at this video at 6:11. This Michael Jordan rookie card was labeled 'altered' by PSA but SGC graded it a 4 Crazy change in value. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suYV-tUdFuw
  20. I have about 140 games total (121 NES with 9 CIB NES). I have 4 systems (NES both, PS2 silver slim, n64) I have 8-9 accessories for NES (Power Glove, ROB, Zapper etc.) I've been downsizing alot the last few years, focusing on all killer no filler! Feeling good.
  21. I saw this come up in a few threads. Let's see how VGS is looking! Feel free to use whatever metric you prefer: # of games, # of shelves, # of rooms , post photos etc.
  22. absolutely reminds me of the time I saw a guy selling a SMB/Duck Hunt for $50.
