What? No Battlesphere or Battlesphere Gold? Not complete! Just kidding, I do not have either of those either, but I still consider my set complete. I do have quite a bit of homebrews for the system though.

Capcom because of Mega Man. I like the Castlevania and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games, but Mega Man is slightly better.

I gave it an 8, almost a 9. I like the original Super Mario Bros. more, but I prefer this one to Super Mario World. As far as leaving your NES on all night, I do not think I ever did that. Outside of accidentally doing it, I do not think I have done that with any system ever.

Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium to finish off the original Phantasy Star games. I had played and beat the original Master System Phantasy Star, but this was the first time for the three Genesis games. Took me just under two years to finish the four games. I only played through Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom one time, so there are four generations I have never seen. I am happy to have finished this impressive set of console rpgs.

This is not true at all. I mean will some small amount of 80s parents know the Super Mario Bros. tune? Sure. The vast majority will have no idea what it is.

Cybermorph and Alien vs. Predator on the Jaguar for me. I knew of Doom and Wolfenstein 3-D, but I think the first time I really played them was on the Jaguar and I got those two games after Cybermorph and Alien vs. Predator.

Going by that measure, then I would submit Indy 500 for the Video Computer System, released in 1977. It (and the Tele-Games version, Race) came with the Driving Controllers, which were required to play. Atari Corp. later rereleased Indy 500 without the Driving Controllers. Star Raiders from 1982 also got an Atari Corp. rerelease missing the Video Touch Pad. M*A*S*H from 1983 also came packaged with a tee shirt, like Superman's wallet, but a few years later. Activision's Space Shuttle: A Journey Into Space for the 2600 came with two different switch overlays and a console overlay. Later releases omitted all the overlays.

Shinobi on the Master System, my first ever "real" (read as anything other than Alex Kidd in Shinobi World) Shinobi game to finish. It was pretty good, but the Ninja Magic is almost worthless in the game. I also hated how it was easier to kill Mandara with non-powered shurikens than with bullets.

I recently picked up an Atari VCS which comes with Antstream Arcade preloaded. The arcade version of Cadash is the first thing I sunk my teeth into, but after that, I played a bunch of arcade Asteroids. Anstream Arcade has challenges for some games, of which Asteroids is one. I had a lot fun trying to get a gold medal on the first few challenges. I have not gold medaled all of the challenges, but I will give it my best. I guess arcade Asteroids will always be a go to for me anytime I can find it. One of the challenges is how many times you can hyperspace without dying, the record for that one is in the 40s I think. I do not know how that is even possible.

Just the systems I got during their retail life in the order I think I got them, there is no way I could remember all the games for systems after I started collecting. Predator Atari Jaguar CD-Blue Lightning (pack-in), Vid Grid (pack-in), and Myst Demo (pack-in, if it counts) Xbox-Halo: Combat Evolved Xbox 360-Hexic HD (preloaded digital) and NCAA Football 07 Xbox One-Dance Central Spotlight, Kinect Sports Rivals, and Zoo Tycoon (all digital, bundled) and maybe Rare Replay, but I think I bought it a little after I got the system Atari VCS-Atari VCS Vault Vol. 1 (preinstalled) and Atari VCS Vault Vol. 2 along with Antstream Arcade which I played a bunch

This is a nine for me. This is really the only NES sports game I played a lot as a kid. I played the first Tecmo Bowl a little bit, but I think the lack of NFL license was annoying to me. I played a very little bit of Double Dribble and Ice Hockey. As an adult I have played Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, but not much else. I have played through a full season a few times over the years, almost always with the Buffalo Bills. When this came out I was a huge NFL fan. I watched the games and the extra stuff as much as I could. Now I could not care less about the NFL. I have not watched the NFL in over 20 years!

Just to reiterate that the first game on 2600 Asteroids is ridiculously easy. Doubly so if you have the difficulty switch in the B position. Try moving the difficulty switch to the A position and try games 6 and 8 (or 14 and 16, 22 and 24, and 30 and 32).

10 out of 10. I have spent many hours on this one. Mostly through emulation either on Atari compilation discs or Xbox 360 Game Room. It is actually quite amazing I am as bad as I am at this game considering the sheer amount of games I have played. I have also spent tons of time on the 2600, 8-bit computer, 7800, and Lynx ports. The two player cooperative and competitive variations on the 7800 are excellent.

You have already made your decision, but I would have went with Dragon Warrior II. Of course it is my second favorite of the series after the original Dragon Warrior. The grinding in this one has never bothered me and I love the connections with the first game.

Pitfall!-2600 Dragon Warrior-NES Alien vs. Predator-Jaguar Sonic the Hedgehog-Genesis Baldur's Gate-PC

I gave it a 4 like OptOut. I have defeated both quests, but I have absolutely no desire to ever go back to this one. I prefer Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and if I want to play on overhead adventure game from the 8-bit era I would rather play Golden Axe Warrior. I bought this one new at the very end of being able to find NES games in stores. I knew of it obviously, but never really played it. I played it then, but really did not like it too much. Years later I decided I wanted to beat it since it is so well regarded, but it took me a while since the gameplay did not hook me all that much. After beating the first quest I was done with it and had no desire for the second quest. Fast forward a few years and I decided that I would beat both quests. I powered through both of them and have never thought about playing again.

I like it. It is a good game so I gave it a 6. I never played it as a kid. I knew about it of course, but it was never one I sought out to play. Part of me does want to get good enough to beat it without the Konami code, but only a small part.

³The NES is probably the second hardest system for me to do a top ten after the 2600. Here goes my list as constituted this day. 1. Dragon Warrior-This will always be my number one. 2. Super Mario Bros.-Great pick up and play platformer. 3. Dragon Warrior II-So close to the second spot. Maybe my favorite story of all the Dragon Warriors. 4. Mega Man-This is the highest I have ever had this one. I love to pop this one in just to beat it. Unfortunately it usually leads to doing the rest of the NES series too. 5. Super Mario Bros. 3-Excellent evolution for the series. I love doing this warpless, but it is time consuming. 6. Dragon Warrior III-What can I say, I love this series. 7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-I never actually beat it until adulthood, but it was not for a lack of trying. 8. Dragon Warrior IV-My least favorite of the four, but still an all-time favorite. 9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game-Played this one like crazy in the arcade, and this port is almost as good. 10. Castlevania-This barely edges out Mega Man 2, Super Mario Bros. 2, Ninja Gaiden 1 and 3, and Zelda II. I know my list has a lot of Dragon Warriors, but it is my favorite NES series by far.

Unfortunately it does not give you any invincibility frames and your health depletes fast. I believe I made it to the fish boss and as I recall the grenades did not seem to do much damage to it.

I have tried to play the TurboGrafx-16 version, but I just cannot get into. I think the high difficulty does hurt the game. And the controls.

Too bad we never got the Jaguar's AC/DC beat'em up. As far as current games go, I have no idea.

I am 95% sure it was a 7800 ProSystem and up to a couple of weeks ago it would have been 100%. Now I am wondering if I did not get my Action Max first. After that would be NES third, Lynx fourth, and Genesis fifth. At this point I cannot remember when I started getting older systems. The first system I ever played was my cousin's Vader which she later gave me sometime in the '90s.
