  1. Pole Position II came with the 7800, but I bought Asteroids (the 7800 version) along with it.
  2. A 7 from me. I enjoy it and will beat it one day. Wonder Boy on the Master System is better though. That would be an 8 or maybe even a 9. I have beaten Wonder Boy multiple times even collecting all 36 dolls for the real ending.
  3. Considering the amount of money I just shelled out for Lunar: Eternal Blue, I really I hope I like them whenever I get around to playing them.
  4. A nine. One of my favorite consoles of all time. I have a complete retail collection (unless you consider Battlesphere as part of the original retail set) and quite a few post-retail releases. Oddly enough I am not a huge fan of Tempest 2000. I like it well enough, but it would not make my top 10. I am also a fan of the controllers. Though not perfect, I always liked the number pad and thought the controllers had a good feel.
  5. I love it. Easy 8 for me. Pitfall II: Lost Caverns, Robotron: 2084, and Space Dungeon make it worth owning by themselves. For those that think the 5200 is in the same generation as the 2600 you do not know what you are talking about. I do not care what Wikipedia or the vast majority of gamers say.
  6. On the Xbox 360 Game Room I got into the top 10 and maybe even top 5 on some games. I specifically remember Pitfall! and River Raid II. On the flip side I could not even get the gold medal scores on the Asteroids' arcade games after many hours of playing. On the Xbox One Atari Flashback Classics Volume 3 I had a few top 5 scores thanks mostly to the lack of players. Fire Fighter was definitely one. Most of the rest of my gaming exploits involve high score clubs for classic games.
  7. I have always liked 2600 version of Defender and played it quite a bit as a kid. Now I understand they cut quite a bit from the arcade and the 5200 version and the 2600 port of the sequel Stargate outclass it, but nevertheless I think it is pretty good.
  8. As this is my favorite system of all-time I gave it the 10. The 7800 was actually my first system, but thanks the backwards compatibility I bought 2600 games concurrently with 7800 and NES games through the late '80s and even into the early '90s when I added a Lynx and a Genesis. It has plenty of games I consider top notch. Like others have said the paddle controllers are great, but I am not a Kaboom! fan. My favorite paddle games include Breakout, Video Olympics, Warlords, Super Breakout, Tac-Scan, and Circus Atari. Indy 500 with the driving controller is also great. Some of my favorite joystick games are Pitfall!, Pitfall II: Lost Caverns, Combat, Air-Sea Battle, Montezuma's Revenge, Q*bert, Frogger, Omega Race, Spy Hunter, Wizard of Wor, Atlantis, Star Raiders, Starmaster, Star Voyager, and well this list goes on and on. An easy perfect 10 for me. Also has the best Superman game ever made.
  9. Perfect 10 for me. The reason being that I consider the 2600 the GOAT and this plays the entire 2600 library (some incompatibilities depending on 7800 revision and 2600 game revision). Obviously I am a fan of the 7800 games since I am only a Tank Command short of a full set. Going only on the 7800 games I would say a 7. I still really enjoy the 7800 library. It was also the first game system I ever owned.
  10. The original on the Genesis for me. 2 and CD are close, but every level in the first is superb. Yes I like Marble and Labyrinth zones. Sonic & Knuckles would be fourth and Sonic 3 fifth.
  11. 1>>2>3>>>>4>5>6. Never played 7, 8, or 11. Barely played 9 or 10. The first one is the only one I had as a kid (step-brother had 2) and is the one I am best at so that does play a part. 4, 5, and 6 are all pretty close to each other as is 2 and 3.
  12. I had to vote for the Jaguar. I have only played one simulation game from that generation and it was Theme Park on the Jaguar. It may have been done better elsewhere, but I have no first hand experience with any other port. So when someone sees the Jaguar with a vote and thinks that person has problems... well at least they know the reason.
  13. Anybody know where to get something for Sega CD cardboard box games?
  14. I forgot about my Action Max. I had every game except Blue Thunder.
  15. I bought the Atari Corp. rerelease of BASIC Programming as a kid. Not many people can say that. 2600 Double Dragon was also pretty obscure. Desert Falcon or Rampage would have been the most obscure 7800 game and I guess Astyanax for the NES. I played a ton of old DOS games, but really cannot remember any names. Same with the TurboGrafx-16 (I can only remember playing Keith Courage and Battle Royale). Rygar for the Lynx maybe. All my Genesis and Sega CD games were pretty mainstream. Of course most of the Jaguar and Jaguar CD library could probably be considered obscure.
