  1. The Democrats didn't tell the followers to storm the cities. Trump just did today. Not defending Trump, or anyone who stormed the Capitol, but there were some Democratic leaders encouraging continued unrest over the Summer. Also, some declined assistance from the National Guard, which aided the continued riots. A couple quotes below and whether it was their intention or not, I'm sure some took it as a call to action (similarly to some far-right folks hanging on Trump's every word, context be damned) Maxine Waters: "“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere" Kamala Harris: “They’re not going to stop. And everyone beware, because they’re not going to stop. They’re not going to stop before Election Day in November, and they’re not going to stop after Election Day. And that should be — everyone should take note of that, on both levels, that they’re not going to let up, and they should not, and we should not"
  2. One of the first people I've ever seen share my frustrations with that game and describe it perfectly.
  3. Do it. Fantastic band, definitely not Nu Metal IMO.
  4. Taking donations out of the equation, do you believe that all Biden voters think Rittenhouse is guilty of murder? (and by default, all Trump voters think he acted in self-defense?)
  5. I love that you state this as a fact everyone would/should agree on, but if by "many people", you mean racists, then yeah, maybe so. But I'd like to think that a majority of people would look at the situation objectively, regardless of race. For those demanding the death penalty for Rittenhouse, do you think it's because he's guilty of murder, or is it because of his skin color?
  6. While objectively, I think the N64 has aged more poorly than NES (for reasons stated in this thread), personally, if given a choice between NES and N64, I'd go with N64. I just can't let go of Goldeneye, WWF No Mercy, and Pilotwings. (Also Perfect Dark and OOT, even though they've been remastered on newer systems)
  7. GC has some fantastic first-party titles, but the PS2 library blows it away and Xbox really killed that generation with the implementation of Xbox Live. Compared to other Nintendo systems, I'd place it towards the bottom: above the Wii, but below the N64.
  8. I've ordered some stuff from them via eBay and haven't really had issues. I did receive poor packaging on an N64 game like you mentioned, but the other items I've gotten have been legit sealed GBA games in great shape. I'm assuming they have a very large quantity of stuff and their QC suffers because of it.
  9. Aces is pretty bare-bones and Yoshi is solid, but not near the excellence that Wooly World was. That said, who knows when they'll be cheaper than that.
  10. Pretty sure she still thinks the 2016 election was stolen from her. And don't be surprised if people become consumed with "BDS" over the next 4 years. Why not just let Trump do his thing and prove to everyone that Biden won legitimately? It's supposed to be a "fair and free" process, so let it be confirmed as such.
  11. Lol even though protests were national and the vast majority were totally peaceful, you get to blame the left for the bad apples who rioted. But the right wingers who wore trump gear when they stormed the state house with assault rifles AND were encouraged by trump's LIBERATE MICHIGAN tweets have nothing to do with trump and the right. If ignorance is bliss, you are living in a hypocritical utopia. Who should carry the blame for all of the crime/damage then? If you can't blame the left for the "bad apples" who rioted and actually committed crimes/damage, then you can't blame Trump/the right for the small group of "bad apples" that plotted to kidnap the Governor, right? Our only point was that, objectively, the unexecuted plot to kidnap the Governor doesn't trump all of the crime/damage that's taken place over the last 6 months.
  12. Trying to kill a governor over outrage about corona regulations trumps rioting. Im not a young man, but cant remember any other assassination attempts in my lifetime. And its early. You think the Michigan militia will stand down when they think black people in detroit stole the election? And trump is supporting that narrative? The guys that planned to kidnap Whitmer are not Trump supporters, like I said earlier. They're anti-Government nuts. And those few lunatics who plotted to do so, but didn't actually get the chance, does not trump all of the damage that @RegularGuyGamer describes.
  13. I really and truly think you are discounting the importance of having a president that isn't going to be continually injecting volatility into the world via Twitter. While I agree that Trump should just stay off of social media in general, aren't you concerned about Biden popping in to mumble whatever generic, feel-good talking points are the flavor of the month but implementing something that doesn't align, or not implement anything at all?
  14. 1. Prior to COVID, what aspects of our nation were a dumpster fire in your opinion? 2. Pretty easy to draw a line between the last 6 months of rioting/looting and a Biden loss fueling it. Also, does your Dad and his buddies plan to go on a shooting spree (like a proper Republican "gunbro" would) if Trump loses? You may want to tell the Police about that if so.
  15. Only one side has had people indicted for a big conspiracy to kill a major leader. That happened with their guy in power. Those militias are not going to go quietly into the night if their guy loses. And he is already on tv blaming his incoming loss on the supreme court. You know, the one he packed all his candidates onto. But his cult will buy that bs like they buy all his other baseless claims. Its far more dangerous than protesters Assuming you're referring to Gov. Whitmer, Trump isn't "their guy" as they are anti-Government in general. And @RegularGuyGamer is right, those cities aren't boarding up in preparation for a Biden victory.
  16. I SUPPOSE the logic would be that I have a good paying job, based on my taxes filed previous year, so I don't need much assistance. Which was true, I didn't. But that was based on taxes paid for year 2018, and I still have my job. But what if I lost it due to the pandemic? What if I had to support family who lost their jobs or elderly family members? It wasn't very logical in my opinion. I received nearly $3500 due to a single income, married household with two children, but I also stayed employed. They did reference 2019 tax records but I can't recall the specifics around when they would reference 2019 vs. 2018. Don't forget about the increased unemployment for those who lost their job as well. I think it was around an extra $600/week.
  17. Can't speak on behalf of everyone, but it may have worked for those ~8 weeks. Now that we're 6 months into this we need to open everything back up or pass another round of stimulus and increase our debt while continuing to suffer the effects of lockdowns.
  18. Wasn't that all handled by the CARES Act? Delayed mortgage/rent payments, eviction halts, small business loans, increased unemployment, etc.
  19. Wasn't there a recent proposal at $1.8T and Pelosi refused it? I think both sides are a bit guilty with this one.
  20. Seriously. When Mitch McConnell rams through a SCOTUS pick at such a pace that it sets landspeed records, and yet tables the COVID stimulus bill, you realize where certain priorities lie. It's my understanding that the current stimulus reached a stalemate because of the padding/funneling that Gloves mentions is a problem.
  21. Businesses didn't HAVE to shut down due to this. It's simplifying a fair bit, but all the government really had to do was to prioritize small businesses and individuals who actually needed it when handing out a stimulus, rather than handing money out to their friends and family. If the rich weren't fucking us all so thoroughly, maybe people wouldn't be so prone to thoughts of helplessness and eventually suicide. A stimulus wouldn't have been needed if places weren't required to shut down initially though, right? Or am I reading your comment wrong?
  22. There's a third choice in there, though I understand you may not feel that there is. It's one thing to have a "safe Holiday guideline" or something, but I just think it's bonkers for CA to deliver something like this. Curious why some of these "rules" are even suggested. Two hours outside? Is there some magic to that? Wonder why protests aren't treated the same. I'd like to think the right to be with your family is as valid as your right to protest.
