  1. Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s is complete. I'm officially out of rhythm games for the PS2, so unless I find a few more for cheap, I might be taking a break for a while.
  2. I've already played through half the songs last night. I'll probably be able to finish the rest tonight. I'm curious what is left since I didn't bother to lookup the set list before buying it.
  3. Never played it, but I've heard the name thrown around a time or two.
  4. Three more titles knocked off the long box checklist. I also picked up GH Rock the 80s specifically for the Beat the PS2 library, along with a few other PS2 titles just cause.
  5. Similar to what others have said. I saw it in the theater when it first came out and I enjoyed it for what it was. I remember this movie being such a big deal back then. It was certainly a unique movie. But it was the type of movie where I didn't have a huge desire to ever watch it again. Looking back on it, I don't think it would hold up that well. These types of movies are always difficult to rate because the rating I would have given it after the first watch is very different from what I would give it today.
  6. As mentioned in another thread, I've been enjoying replaying my old Guitar Hero and Rock Band games. I've enjoyed it enough to pickup a few new games from those series.
  7. Guitar Hero III is completed. This game is another first time playing and first time beating which is always fun on a game that is almost 20 years old. Much better setlist on GH3 compared to GH Aerosmith. GH Rock the 80s is next, but I have to wait for it to arrive first.
  8. Never played any of the Warcraft games.
  9. I completely forgot to mention this last night. It's extremely funny to me how these older Guitar Hero games that were released before DLC was a thing, have many hidden bonus songs that can be purchased with IN GAME money that you earn through the career mode. You get to buy bonus songs without spending any actual money. Oh, how times have changed.
  10. 2211 3 was the hardest. 1 was a little tricky. 2 and 4 were easy.
  11. I was a little disappointed in GH Aerosmith. Obviously, it's just more Guitar Hero, and it's basically the same game assets as GH3. But when I play these games, the only thing I really care about is the song list. I felt GH Aerosmith was lacking in the song titles. There were definitely some great songs, but I felt more than half of the song list was stuff I wasn't interested in. Of course everyone's music preferences are a little different, so you can always look up the song lists and see if it's music you would be interested in. If memory serves, this is the first band focused Guitar Hero game, and I believe it's the only band focused game that isn't compatible with any instruments outside of the guitar. I'm fairly certain all of the other band focused releases came after GH copied Rock Band in adding the other instruments. I enjoyed GH 1 and 2 better than GH Aerosmoth, and so far GH3 seems to be better as well.
  12. Guitar Hero Aerosmith is complete. This was my first time ever playing this game, and therefore, first time beating it. This is also the first new game I've beaten for this thread. I started GH3 tonight and I'm about 1/4 of the way in. I've also ordered GH Rock the 80s from @Hammerfestus, so when that one arrives, I will play through that one as well.
  13. I just sent you a message.
  14. Guitar Hero II is also complete.
  15. The 3D effect was always interesting, and I would always try it out with each game I played to see how it looked, but I could never play any game very long with the 3D effect turned on, even with it turned down to the lowest setting. I would always eventually turn it off completely. Thankfully, Nintendo never required that element in the gameplay. I could live without that feature in any type of hardware replacement in the future.
  16. Easy 9 for me. I watched it for the first time while in high school on Comedy Central having absolutely no idea what it was. I loved it immediately and it's never gotten old for me. Oddly enough, I've never really been able to get into anything else Monty Python related.
  17. That's very cool. I've never seen anything like that. My recommendation for finding information on it was going to be Gamereve, but you've already been there. Good luck with your search.
  18. I enjoy Flip Out and probably play it at least once a year. I've never played it through to completion because it's the type of game I enjoy playing 20 minutes and stopping. Obviously the game is not very pleasant to look at, but I still enjoy the puzzle aspect. I was considering trying to beat it for the first time for this thread, but I guess you beat me to it. I have the Jaguar GameDrive, so I can play any Jag game, but I don't know of any other games I could play through to completion. Most of the games I enjoy, I'm not great at. I love Power Drive Rally, but I can't finish some of the later more challenging races. I also enjoy Trevor McFur, but I can only beat it with cheat codes. Tempest 2000 is fun, but when I play it, I only play until I run out of lives. I can't beat that game, and I don't enjoy it enough to play it over and over until I get good enough to beat it. Doom is a possibility, but playing it with the Jag controller isn't ideal.
  19. I always enjoyed being able to play Galaga during the loading screen on some of the Namco games during the PS1 era. I always wondered why other games didn't do something similar. I didn't realize until almost 30 years later that Namco was able to get a patent on loading screen games. I would never of thought of that as something that could be patented. It's too bad, because it was a great way to pass the time during the loading screen, which was often times very long during that era.
  20. During the PS4/XBone era, I bought so much PS3, Wii and Wii U stuff from GameStop for really good deals. I bought games that I was interested in. I wasn't just buying shovelware. I could have easily bought WAY more if I was buying everything that was cheap. I remember thinking during that time, that there was no other place anywhere selling these types of games as cheap as GS. Unfortunately, the PS5/SeriesX era hasn't been the same. Due to COVID and other issues, the current gen took off much slower, and a very high % of users continued to use the previous gen for an extended amount of time. This kept prices for those games higher and made it harder to find deals. Within the past year, we have finally gotten to the point where PS4 prices should start dropping, but now GS now carries such a small amount of inventory, they are no longer able to offer the types of deals that they did in the past.
  21. I enjoy puzzle games, but I am not familiar with any of these.

I would be interested. I'm interested. I know you said that you wanted to do everything as a single lot, but if someone is interested in the Nintendo stuff, I would be willing to split it with them.
  23. Because of the nature of the 3DS hardware (and its age), I think it will be a long time before we ever see a good way to play original carts on anything other than the original hardware. I just don't see any type of clone console or something with the quality of an Analogue system coming anytime soon. I think for now we are stuck just using the actual 3DS hardware. Since the 3DS is also backwards compatible with the DS library, those consoles are obviously the most desirable and will fetch the best prices.
  24. I agree. I love both games, but I remember some of the later levels in TMNT 3 have some enemies that take way too many hits, and it starts to get a bit tedious. TMNT 2 and 3 are both great games, but TMNT 4 took it to a whole new level.
  25. Guitar Hero is done. All songs complete. My skill level requires that I play on medium, but the game considers completing all songs as "beating" the game regardless of the difficulty setting. Working on Guitar Hero II now.
