  1. Happy Friday! This week I looked toward adding more Forza horizon titles, put in a lot of time on #5 and have loved it so I started #4 on game pass and the fun continues. Gonna work my way backwards through the series. Want the physical copies, but pretty late to the game so I peeked around on eBay and found the premium edition for quite $$ and only one unsealed copy of it listed.. but with the wrong disc, which I'm pretty sure is the same as any regular copy since all the magic is the dlc card. Nothing led me to believe otherwise after searchin, so I worked with the seller and got a discount and found a replacement disc woo woo: They went hard on the variants for this release, compared to 5.. there was also a steelbook edition with digital game (no add ons) and of course regular edition besides the multiple flavors of digital bundlings. Shot of the outside of the steelbook up top, snagged a console bundle copy of #3 sealed woo. Loose copy of 3 that came in the steelbook gon be my playin copy since it's off the gamepass.. but there was also a steelbook version of 3 so that's on the list too haha. Mandy ordered the fire emblem pins on MyNintendo, pretty neatttt She also snagged crisis core for the p5 and an in-store pack of AC cards. Found the 360 e model power block thriftin for $3. That's it for this week!
  2. @CasualCartthanks dood!! I had been wanting to display them for a while. The iron giant ruleeeeesss, I found that sweet toy thriftin and was super stoked.. he lights up, moves, and makes noises (which was fun to watch our cats react to) but for now protects the sticks ! Here goes this week's gets: Mimikyu plush, 360 power block came in the mail. Immediately tested the $5 Xbox 360 and it works! No red ring or anythin' wrong with the disc drive, yay. Kinda hoped it had an older dashboard but it was updated. I went and bought the matching 120gb hdd from the local store, pulled out the wifi adapter I had and set up my account on it. Swapped the memory card doors on the face toooo, pretty happy with the results. red vs blue seasons 6,7,8,9 from the thrift for cheap Finished up another project on the pile, an NES that was missing the door and had bent pins. After fixing the pins, I painted the top shell. I wanted to do more like fabricate a new door, but it had been sitting for months now so I re assembled and maybe I'll come back to it. Had a controller with a chewed up cable that I paired with it, took off 11.5in from stock length since the rest was in good shape and swapped the buttons out as well as new start/select. I found this locker shelf at Meijer and was thinking of using the wire for the door but it kinda works as a perfect little stand for it: Anywhooo thanks for peeking, have a wonderful weeeek!
  3. Aww yahhhh. The Atlanta Olympics had such great branding, my mom, sister and I watched em like crazy back then haha
  4. Haha yasss, dodging the peeeeeels I'm going for a whole vibe for the game room so all the random plushies are coming together, here's a shot of the non gaming ones: The wire cube stuff reminds me of like arcade/carnival prizes. Ooo yah I also framed the world of nintendo sticker that I got from @Jeevan
  5. Happy Friday! Not a whole bunch (lololol) this week but here it is! Mario kart banana plush, wah wahh waaahhh Wii pro controller, also nice for the HDMI classic systems So I thought I had a power brick for that $5 360 from last week but checked everywhere and couldn't find it. The manufacture date for it is November 5th 2009, so the motherboard is a Jasper v2 which is the most stable original model so I hear. I ordered a brick off eBay to test, fingers crossed but it could really go either way. I did however find the replacement faceplate in my stash and I reshelled a controller with that silver AliExpress probably new old OEM stock, the fit was perfect so I'm thinking yass. Silver and black babyyyyy Thinking about swapping the memory card doors to black from the original faceplate but cleaned up and ready to find out if it's gonna work lol. See ya next weeeeeek
  6. a lot of em are also on PC buttttt Armed and dangerous - Lucasarts published but made by the guys who did mdk (shiny studios) wacky weapons, Monty Python type humor, but a shooter. Some of the weapons are heckin funnnnnny. Overall Very silly and good dialog. Kung Fu chaos - maybe didn't age so well but regardless of offensive stereotypes the spirit of it is goofy and kinda a power stone style fighter with a lot of movie references, they were trying to be corny but it looks kinda questionable Big yasss on voodoo Vince All the sega stuff, jet set radio future, gunvalkyrie, panzer dragoon orta, crazy taxi 3, house of the dead 3 with guns, shenmue 2, otogi's, PSO, outrun, toe jam and earl Games from rare ltd: grabbed by the ghoulies, conker, Tecmo games: ninja gaiden's, dead or alive's (volleyball is practically a dating sim) Kotor and Kotor 2 are on everything now but those were always high up on the recommends, but with new versions the loading time is probably much better, it felt like it took forever back in the day but not as long as Morrowind lol I would also have said fable but that's got the anniversary edition on 360 Breakdown was interesting, first person vomiting in the first 10mins haha Brute force - squad shooter but i beat it back in the day and enjoyed it, would be fuzzy but I liked it for what it was worth Oddworld's Quantum redshift - futuristic racing, team that did the wipeout series Chronicles of Riddick - decent fps Blinx 1 and 2 are cute and one of the first games I remember having a rewind option, which was really cool at the time Games I haven't played but look good - Phantom dust, metal wolf chaos, arx Fatalis, call of Cthulhu, curse the eye of ISIS, Deus ex invisible war, dino crisis 3, ummm
  7. Happy Friday! Fire emblem engage came out today, Mandy ordered the divine edition and we got it in the mail yesterday, heck yaaa Goooooorgeous arttttt The art book cover is so frickin pretty, wooooo also love the sprite details on the tray. Onto the thrift gets: Smash brawl and we sing 80s mic bundle (with 1 of 2 mics) for $2.50 each, apparently that mic bundle is pretty hard to find.. the mini dvd-rws for a quarter each and the PS2 controller missing the rubber for $2 (either gonna replace the sticks or just snag the shell from it) $5 maybe working 360? Broken faceplate but I have a silver replacement. Pretty sure I have cables stashed away, might need a hdd but another project on the pile. Cheap games, Dante has a paper in it my copy didn't and bending again on disc only for fable anniversary. This week I also saw some weird stuff come into the thrift, like this hemophilia puppet: And also this 'teddy' pedicure chair, who wants a teddy pedi??? Have a lovely weeeeek, see ya next fri
  8. I don't plan to continue at the pace of collecting I have in the last few years. I don't plan to stop, but just focus more on goals. I'm out of space until we move and most is still in boxes until end goal shelving but I'm very happy with where I am at. I just reorganized the game room and even though it's not perfect I love staring at all the games, honestly the organization side is really fun for me too. Once we have more space i'll be ready, whoo.
  9. Friday the 13th ooooo here's the gets Some cheap boxed nes stuff came into the local game store, missing the books but the carts are in super nice shape. Track and field 2 had the NP offers and Konami poster though, woo And thriftwise I found these two: Concrete genie looks super cute!! Have a great week yalllllllllll
  10. Make sure to lube the gears too! It's a fun one to take apart.
  11. Happy 2023! Here's this week's gets: MyNintendo goodies, really digging the earthbound stuff even though it's cheapy feeling but still cool - the eight melodies chart book is cute as well as the luggage tag. Also Kirby keychain and 2023 calendar. Snagged another 5 packs of series 5 animal crossing cards wooo Thrift cheapies, don't usually go for disc only but capt america looks to be like 20$ disc on the eBay. Snagged but not pictured: a super siiiiick ol' Tupperware bin in teal from the 70s? and a Visio 24in tv for $10 from 2016. Mandy got me the limited run vhs edition of turtles shredders revenge for switch! Came with the Raph card.
  12. If you're uploading the pictures here on the site you should be able to edit the original post and it will let you add more pictures than the limit, not fully sure if it will still because I just use imgur now.
  13. I just wanna pop in and say that the price check linkage on your collection site is so neat and handy, nicely implemented! Glws!
  14. Heyo here's this week's gets, last of 2022! Couple Xbox off the list in really nice shape, Mandy picked Doom and Wolfenstein with the steelbook (noice), copy of power rangers for game gear and a decent boxed former rental copy of George foreman ko. I'm thinking from Google it used to be in Kalamazoo, MI woo Found this Hollywood video employee vest at the thrift! See it in action here: Love it, bahaha Finishin up the year, Mandy got me this super neat Xbox hot wheels car.. coincidentally all I've played this week is Forza horizon 5 haha Happy new year!
  15. @final fight cdheck yaa, one of the fullblast songs is named after in reference haha anyways so because of that song I did listen to a bunch of moneens stuff and really dug the theory of harmonial value. Found the world I want to leave behind cd while thrifting like 5 yrs ago and its pretty good too. Completely unrelated but based on yer tastes check out this album, https://pentimentony.bandcamp.com/album/i-no-longer
  16. Went through the rest of my tickets, ooof just so many shows I got nothing but a memory that isnt so clear but here goes: 2010s era, the jamboree in Toledo was cool, did merch for my friends band but really just hung out and saw lots bands. That converge show was insane. Only went to one warped tour in 2013, but got super lucky to get guestlisted which was really cool. That Sean bonnette set was completely amazing, one of the best shows I saw at mac's. Badge on bottom right from working the sounds of the underground. 2000s era Super cool show, also soad shot the hypnotize video during this show, so siick. Also Mars Volta was nuts! 2014 I wanted to see two shows consecutively in Detroit so I had a solo trip, went to the Detroit institute of art and spent the night on someone's couch. The first night the Swellers final Detroit show and the fullblast came from Canada to play it (was so stoked, glad to finally see em and got lucky to get a set list) the second night was say anything, saves the day and Reggie and the full effect each playing full album sets. What a nice weekend it was.
  17. @PekoponTASheck ya, thanks for the info. I snagged it because I liked the cartoon back in the day but never really played any of them. Good to know, at least it was cheap
  18. Doood nice, great heckin pickup! A bunch of the Japanese 360 shmups popped into my local store last year and all sold really quickly at a bit higher prices. I thought it was super cool to see em for sale in person though half were region locked, wasn't ready to drop $80 each or whatever they wanted. Anyways, nice score!!
  19. Can I get the Mario kart mystery boxes? Thank you again for your fun contests pupdog
  20. Hey, 2 days till Christmas! Happy holidays y'all heres my finds of the week. Saint for Wii is another weird UFO published release, side scrolling shooter, kinda meh but interesting to meeee. Spanish coach for Ds for a whole .50c, wooo. Thrift had a decent copy of mass effect trilogy come in, I think I have pretty much all the other variations of the mass effect games besides collectors editions? it was nice to find on the cheap. Bioware got my love with starwars Kotor and Jade empire on the original Xbox, so I owe it to myself to play their later games one day. Decent clean copies of guitar hero and rock band as well. Top games played this week: Tony hawk 1+2, Forza Horizon 5, Pokemon Scarlett (almost done, keep putting on the back burner with the endgame stuff left haha), started costume quest (360) and it's a cute kids rpg by double fine. That's all folks, have a lovely week!
  21. Nice and full almost time to devote the glass case fully to og Xbox
  22. Hey y'all, happy Friday! Gonna be slowing to a trickle most weeks ahead until I get a new revenue stream flowing, but here's the thrift finds for the week: Ps3 move sharp shooter PS2 stuff, yay the first Jak and daxter - need the lost frontier and Jak x racing to finish up those eventually. It's been a lil over 3 years since I started this thread and have greatly expanded the collection, probably far too much. I like where I'm at, and have been delaying original Xbox stuff because I don't want it to be over haha. Now is time to organize better, go through dupes and trim out the extras and focus back on the og Xbox set. End goal of finishing by 2026 for the 25th anniversary, which seems very realistic - checking my list I have 135 left (aw snap). Happy collectin'! see ya next Friday
