  1. Funny enough my total for 2022 and 2023 was both 14 games I got a list of about 30 games I want to hit up next year, if I beat half of them that would still be a record for me. That might be easier said than done cause there are a lot of rpgs and more meaty games on there. Playstation 5 Balder's Gate 3 Gigabash Sea of Stars Outer Wilds Switch Blasphemous 2 Citizen Sleeper Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Gourmet Warriors The Last Faith Monster Train Paper Mario Prison City Super Mario RPG Super Mario Wonder Wrestlequest Coming Soon Mayhem Brawler - Jan 12 Suicide Squad - Feb 2 Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - Feb 29 Unicorn Overlord - March 8 Princess Peach Showtime - March 22 Gravity Circuit - March 29 TBD 2023 Blade Chimera Blazing Strike Contra Operation G Dragon Warrior 3 2dHD Little Nightmares 3 Mina the Hollower Paper Mario 1000 year door Silk Song Wolf Amoug us 2
  2. This. It’s so long and so slow. I like Jimmy Stewart, so someone convince me to sit down and finish this, please.
  3. CM Punk and Bayley Punk said his goal was to main event wrestle mania, so the easiest way to do that is winning the Rumble. There is already the setup for a hot fued with Rollins. That is assuming Rollins is still champion after facing Mcintyre. Cody will come close, but he will find another path to face Roman and finish his story. Either by winning Elimination Chamber or winning Priest's briefcase. Bayley has been around too long and is too good to not get a rumble win at some point. She is giving off more face vibes despite being the leader of a heel faction. Think her girl gang is going to kick her out, leading to her winning the rumble and challenging Sky for the belt. I'm not sure where that leaves Ripley, she has pretty much just been doing stuff with the men as the leader of Judgement Day. None of the women on RAW really feels on her level. Lynch has been doing everything but go after Ripley's title, that would be a big Mania match too.
  4. We all know the next Nintendo system is in the works, but we don't know that much about it yet, or do we? That's right it is guessing time. 9 questions for 9 points. Let's see who is clairvoyant.
  5. This sounds like something an out of touch boomer in marketing would say. Someone with no interest in actually making a quality game. I’d say the Mega Man games have some rough parts but are pretty fair. You know how many times I rented Mega Man 2? The clerk even told me, “You know you rented this 3 times, you must really like this game.” After all those rentals I asked for Mega Man 2 for my birthday, but got Mega Man 3 instead, cause that was the newer one. And I replayed and beat that one countless times. Would I have asked for it without those great rental experiences? Compare that with something like The Lion King, a great looking game based on the biggest movie of the year, should be a slam dunk. But overly frustrated rental due to inflated difficulty made it just not that fun to play and one I never ended up owning.
  6. Fighting Games - Cool characters, amazing animation. 9/10 times the gameplay doesn't click with me. Bomberman - Every bomberman game looks a generation behind the times. Still a total blast to play.
  7. Should comprise and make it a porn site only on weekends
  8. Cause it is 2023 and there are other alternatives
  9. So you roll up to the table to play DnD and leave the character background blank, no traits, no ideals, no bonds, no backstory. That is what breaths life in the game. You are just going to play a mute amnesiac and not even make an attempt to role play in a role playing game. If you are just here to roll dice, we can play Yahtzee or something. FF IV and DQ IV are solid examples of games that have good stories with memorable characters as do dozens of other great rpgs. Final Fantasy I is just lacking that special sauce.
  10. Oh hey I just beat this one I don't know if there is any game I have started, abandoned, and restarted more times, be it on the nes, gba, and now the Switch. I would always get lost or bored with the grind and tap out. But this is the year I finally buckled down and beat it. The pixel remaster makes things a lot easier to stomach with being able to run and auto battle. Those are a life saver because this game is a grind. So much of your time is spent grinding for xp or money to stand a chance in the dungeons, only to dive deep in a dungeon and grind thru dozens more monsters to get to the boss. The best feature is the ability to create your own party from the start of the game. You get to pick 4 characters from 6 classes and can make some wild combos to fit your playstyle. I went Fighter, Black Belt, Thief, and Red Mage, so I didn't have to depend too much on magic. But where RPGs really shine is the story and Final Fantasy 1 is well....pretty bland. It is some generic fantasy adventure mixed with time travel bull$hit. What's more is because of the ability to make your own party, your cookie cutter characters have no personality and nothing to say. For some reason I always felt this was a tough game, but the difficulty is really lopsided. I actually feel like the early part of the game is harder, because it takes a lot to get your team up and running with costs of armor and magic being pretty high. Once I hit the mid game class change, I went on a tear and nothing could stop me. Even bosses fell in a couple turns. But dang, Chaos got a huge boost in the pixel remaster. He ate my lunch a couple times until I did a bit of leveling, but mostly I think it came down to luck as I just eek'd out a win out of what looked like defeat. If you need a mindless grindfest, Final Fantasy 1 certainly will do the trick. If you want good story and characters, look elsewhere. Is this an all time classic? No way, it is just too basic and bare bones. This is where the series began, but it didn't really hit it's stride till the SNES/PSX games. +Customizable party +Great soundtrack +Simple gameplay -Bland nonsense story -Character-less party members -Grindy AF
  11. Pretty much Bad Santa meets Die Hard. David Harbour is great
  12. It's a good mix of Zelda and Souls, which a cool graphic style that makes everything look like a diorama and you can tilt the camera to find hidden areas. Plus you get to play as a fox. But the real gimmick, is you get to find pages of the instruction booklet in game to learn new moves and figure out where to go. I thought the first 90% of the game was fantastic. After the final dungeon though, a lot of your upgrades get locked away and you have to do a lot of backtracking to old zones to get them back. Felt like that added a couple hours of padding at the end, but maybe it won't take you that long if you remember where they are. So I beat the final boss and got the bad ending and credits. To get the good ending you have to figure out a puzzle that was beyond me and I was already feeling ready to put it to bed, but if you like secrets and puzzles you might be better at that.
  13. 1. Files are easy to move. You can transfer files between hard drives, consoles, memory cards, or redownload it. If something is delisted, you might still be able to recover it in your purchase history. 2. You can transfer your liscences to another console once per year, otherwise you need to be loaded into your account and online to access your stuff. You can recover your gamertag from online or put it on a memory card too. So get your gamertag on a new console. Do a liscence transfer. Move or download all your games and files over.
  14. I didn’t even catch the police car. A cops vs cabbies mode would be sick.

    Ninja Frog

TMNT had their own in universe rip off with the punk frogs. One of them even showed up in the new Mutant Mayhem movie
  16. I always get mixed up between Vectorman, Vectorman 2, Vectorman CD, Vectorman & Knucles, and Vectorman on the nomad
  17. Not necessarily. Most games have a pretty flat difficulty curve. The actual progression is more about the player having all the right tools and upgrades and mastery of the game mechanics and skills. Just getting started in a new game is daunting, getting a grip with the controls, figuring out where to go, and getting established in the world. Getting that first foothold is sometimes the hardest part. Nobody likes the surprise twist of a sudden end of game difficulty spike just for the last level or SNK final boss. It feels out of nowhere and lazy, like the developers didn’t care about balancing or were trying to subvert expectations. Like a book with a bad ending or tv show with a crummy finale, a cheap Final level or boss can sour you on the whole game.
  18. How did Vectorman win the poll over two other heavy hitters only for everyone to suddenly now say it is mid or they didn’t actually play it
