    Unfortunately it seems to me to be the same reason there are no longer printed instruction manuals in most new games. It’s a combination of the Internet resources you touched on such as YouTube tutorials and typed walkthroughs and the fact that Nintendo still largely sees their main demographic as young kids. Young kids often don’t bother with or even dispose of manuals in video games, so they for sure won’t bother buying a guide book. Nintendo just doesn’t want to “waste” the money on the paper and ink anymore.

    I would love the Hamtaro games for GBC and GBA to either be rereleased or remade. I think they’re great and many would still enjoy them. It would also give the opportunity to release the PAL exclusive game to the North American market.

    Well there’s the whole “Insert into f-ing box” thing in Explosive Fighter Patton on the Famicom Disk System. Not suggestive, but shocking for Nintendo.

    Scored a used copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Switch. Been looking for a used copy for a while to save some money since I never see this game on sale.

    I can’t stand Kinect games. The full body requirements for the Kinect games to work are a no from me. The Wii motion controls are more fun, easier, and more accessible. From what I can tell online, Kinect was highly acclaimed and sold a lot. The only reason I have one is because it came with my Xbox 360. My Kinect games are my least played games.

    Got Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for the Switch at EB Games and got to level up my membership to Platinum.

    I love the plastic cases for the Sega Genesis games! I do love the box artwork for SNES and NES games. I don’t have any boxes for mine, though.

    I can’t get past the first AT-AT in Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire on N64, even on easy mode. The tow cable just won’t cooperate with me. I keep trying, though. I would appreciate any advice.

    I recently picked up Super Mario Odyssey for the Switch and I am loving it. Trying to get all the moons now.

    Finally caved and picked up New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe on the Switch since it’s on sale anyway. Also got this retro-style Mario collector box.

    This brings a tear to my eye. Beautiful. My mom got my brother this one when it was new. I own it now. Man I wish he kept the box. Such a cool box.

    I was recently impressed by Princess Debut on DS and Pikmin 3 Deluxe on Switch.

    You’re right. Didn’t mean to lump them together. Playing console and PC games today isn’t that different, I just prefer having a console. It keeps my computer time more productive, lol.
