  1. I am saddened by this post! I enjoy it, but perhaps that is only due to the quirkiness of it!
  2. How is NINJA GOLF not on this list yet? ::Looks at Atari 7800:: Oh, that's why! In all seriousness, it is actually a fun game for the 7800. And now that I think about it...Ninja Golf actually sounds pretty damn cool!
  3. There is at least one town in Iowa that does bags of milk too. I believe it is What Cheer (crazy name, I know), Iowa. At least, this was a thing 20 years ago when my buddy and I were trekking for one weekend from Iowa City.
  4. Agree with arch_8ngel above me. I voted for early solid state. Extremely iconic and nostalgic for me. Elvira and the Party Monsters, Taxi, Cyclone...PIN BOT! Man, love those mid-to-late 80s games. Never saw them in an arcade, but would play them at bars when I would tag along with mom or dad...back when kids could go into bars and nothing was thought of it! Smell of cheap, American, yellow beer...grease from the bar kitchen burners...crusty old men muttering as they walk by you and the pin...man! Loved it! I have Party Animal from 1987 in basement arcade. Hoping to add one or two more pins from the 80s down the line.
  5. Hi guys! Just joined the club. I currently have an Outrun, Street Fighter II: World Warrior (i.e. plain old SFII), World Series: The Season, Atari Football, Donkey Kong Jr., a Neo Geo MVS 1-slot conversion, and a Pac-Man Arcade Party cocktail table that Namco of America made back in 2010. I also have a pin in Bally Midway's Party Animal! DK Jr and Atari Football are my newest acquisitions. That stimulus check helped out with those two! MaxLords, awesome pics!
  6. I know the Nintendo Store had maintenance this morning. I wonder if they fixed some of the lingering issues for those who did have the code redeemed, but just couldn't check out?
  7. I plan to watch it tonight. LaC's mini review has me optimistic this will be a good one.
  8. All this talk of TTYD makes me want to play my untouched copy now. Luckily, the GameCube is currently hooked up, so I may have to sit down and play this game finally after 15 years!
  9. Whoops! I meant to say that potential KLOV Nintendo fans might come over here to talk about Nintendo’s CONSOLE offerings (not arcade, as they do all of that over at KLOV!).
  10. It is actually a pretty big community over there, believe it or not! As I mentioned in my introduction post yesterday, I was away from the old NA site and just came back yesterday to this site because KLOV and the arcade collecting hobby sucked me in for a few years. With this site growing, and a ton of Nintendo arcade fans over there, I can see some of them migrating over here eventually to talk about about Nintendo’s arcade offerings.
  11. KLOV: Refers to the arcade collector website https://www.arcade-museum.com, but the literal acronym is “Killer Lister Of Videogames.” But those video games are only arcade games and not console games.
  12. I picked the Series S in the poll. I like the All-Access idea that essentially makes it like a cell phone contract. Eventually, I can see stepping up to the Series X. I just got home from work and it looks like I missed the pre-orders by an hour! I always get slim PSes, so I will wait a few years before considering the PS5.
  13. Looking forward to watching it. I have CBS All Access for the Star Trek shows and new Twilight Zones. Some good children stuff for my kids too. I am tempted to sign back up for Netflix since they have Cobra Kai now.
  14. I still haven’t gotten into the Paper Mario series, but have this game on my Amazon Want List. I have a copy of Thousand Year Door that has been collecting dust for 15 years. Is that considered one of the better Paper Marios?
  15. Yeah, you are probably right about that. Either way, it needs to be addressed if Burrow is going to live up to the hype. As an aside, I hope the Reds keep it up this week. The bats are picking up a bit the last few games.
  16. Doug, you got another Bengals fan here on the forum now! 61 attempts on Thursday...yikes. I know we were all hyped for Burrow, but winning offenses definitely begin and end with superior o-line play. The line needs to be addressed in the next draft.
  17. Good list! Unless I totally missed it on your list, the one I would put on my list has got to be the Double Dragon title theme. That tune just gets me jazzed up to play some NES!
  18. I also was able to snag these yesterday after 2.5 hours of trying to get through the process. Claimed the code at 3 pm the eastern, saw it was a cluster F, and came back to my computer at 5:30 and got through the ordering process within 5 minutes or so. But yes, these should have been pre-order bonuses instead of this crap shoot. Supposedly, there is a pin set #2 coming out as well too. Probably more shenanigans with that set as well.
