  1. I'm no longer surprised. In the beginning I started to believe that he suffered from histrionic personality disorder. Later questioning if he more than just that. But in the end he is a sociopath. With additional factors that can be tacked onto this, but this is just another string of issues that make me want to leave the country.
  2. I know I should have responded sooner. But... I will simplify by saying similar things have been said about both AFA and VGA. Down the line similar accusations were made, with reasons tied to AFA's affiliation with Cloud City Collectibles. Eventually new controversies popped up when a Rebelscum.com member named 'Hoth_My_Fav' made a strong effort to discredit CAS in 2017. One member started to investigate him, and found that HMF had a checkered past himself. But when it came down to it another claim popped up about him getting a "deal" from AFA when it came to him doing that type of attack. When it comes to that forum, I will post the link if needed. But I should note that CAS's own Ross Barr joined the forum as a means to explain everything, help those who needed it, and more. HMF's disregard for anything asked to him, or about him, lead to claims that he was getting said rumored benefits. Years later he continued, going as far as saying that if CAS went out of business their gradings would be put into question. This resulted in me pulling an item out of the grading process, explaining why, and the like. With me (I am 'Your_Scoundrel' there) pointing out to him that they were informed of his attacks. Since then I still gave AFA a shot since he ended up not making another anti-CAS comment since then. In the end accusations like this are nothing new. But I am with @Gloves on the idea that being punished for speaking up is not a good excuse to do business with anybody. No matter how good of a job they do.
  3. 85 = Near box fresh. This is pretty much what you might see a day after some of the items were taken out of the box and put on shelves, pegs, etc. Signs are notable wear that can be seen by the human eye, but not enough to be an issue. 90 = Box fresh. The standard of what you should find in a box shipped from the factory. There will be shipping-related wear but not enough to be detected right away. If it was a "Modern Graded" toy, chances are that it would get a 9.25. 95 = Ideal condition. To get something like this means that it was both carefully packed and handled. And the wear is in places you would not expect to look for. Minute enough that there might be a question on why it did not grade a 95+.
  4. You misspelled "oblivious" in this statement. In all cases if @Magus is guilty for doing his job, then we are all guilty of any ill-conceived accusation that some intolerable poster can make up. Now if you don't mind... I need to be blamed for something I did not do but somehow am at fault because the annoyed poster did not like something I said/did/etc.
  5. ^ This! I never knew who Kaws was prior to both Nigo's other Sotheby auction. But that is definitely his art style, and I too wonder if it is an authentic product (or not).
  6. A rule of thumb from this Aspie: Organize it in a way that it feels both aesthetically and visually appealing to you. I have personally found that building the ideal space is harder than filling it out. So if I had to make a suggestion, I would form sections based on 'genre' and see if that works. It might not look as uniformed, but doing something like that might help you get an idea on what you want to see. And that is the #1 goal you need to do for yourself here.
  7. I can vouch for the fact that I am not one of these types of buyers! It's one of those "benefits" of being me. All I can say is that in the past 8.8 years I have been spending money to start a hobby, I cannot create a "uniformed" collection. And that the only "premium" I will pay is for something that I feel comfortable buying. Which tends to be a newer item tied to a series that is authentically good. But even then, that "premium" does not ever exceed the $20 mark for me if there are no additional benefits being offered. Hence why I am not saving up to do a bid when I feel I can buy what I want and have it graded. Plus unless WataGames starts to grade PS4 games (which share the same dimension as PS3 cases), expect me to be promoting CAS in the future.
  8. I had a better time with this one than I did with 3, but not as much when compared to Demon Souls. But I had to give it an 8/10 because even though they nerfed a few things, it is still a fun game. And meeting the Onion Knight is my highlight of the game.
  9. Sweet game! And the one thing I have learned about plastics is that humidity, as well as select climates, can yellow certain types of plastics. It has become of of those reasons why I gave up on collecting pre-Disney era Star Wars figures. And why people might not see me own non-graded toys. Because some looked white in photos but arrived yellow. But yeah... I do hope you can get that un-yellowed! And note that the HD remake of SMT3: Nocturne might be announced for a state-side release later this year. It has a Japan release announced. So there is a chance it will have one here as well.
  10. Yeah... We already got the "funny" ha ha in this topic. (Which is why I am I moved on past it.) But I should note that I heard something about that long ago. A (former) friend of mine (way back when) complained about these types of collectors. He told me that collectors back then hated how "important" these buyers seemed to act. So while many might not have minded that copies of Pokemon Green were bought, the lack of consideration became an issue. It ended up being why he sold off his import Dragon Ball collection and shifted towards Star Wars. Which was during the PS2 and GC days. So I have no idea if he shifted back. (He sold his expensive stuff prior to moving. And we lost touch by the time the PS3 was a thing.) And with me, my issues are with those who think their benefits grant them the ability to say or act any way they want to. I mean they are no better than those who you are also complaining about. Because while they are not hyping up a game because they are thirsty, they are still doing a disservice to this community. And worse, they make their collection be the victim of their utter garbage behavior. Regardless of how nice and/or complete it is. Which is why I have the means to relate to those who complain, while also questioning why they are not working smarter at achieving their goals. EDIT #1: I should also note that I am a TRPG collector, not a video game collector. So I prefer narration over both hype and self-hype of any kind. EDIT #2: I should also note that I have experienced what I have said elsewhere. Hence an additional reason why I have not found my means of collecting sooner.
  11. Found it! It makes me wish I could find a group who would want to do a parody of this in a Cyberpunk Red campaign.
  12. This was something I was thinking about since most of it is based on facts, not not some elitist snobbery. So if I have not said it before, I will now. And that is the fact I have experienced both ends of this issue. With the difference being that I was hoping that buying newer imports of any kind would help. However, it never did. And while I would have liked to get certain domestic titles, the ones I wanted are no longer available. Along with the ones I am remotely interested in either being hyped up or scarce. Plus I tried to whole CIB bit. I support it because sealed is not always an option. But it is not for me. Hence why I am going to hope this buyer improves their means of collecting next year.
  13. And face masks. Especially on Facebook. Japanese citizens wear them, and so do their kids so they could avoid getting sick. And yet wearing one in the U.S. for that reason is some new type of evil. Le sigh... It makes me miss the cold days I spent in Osaka. Recovering from the reality my engagement had ended. Because at least that is an adult-level issue. Also, is the Great Pumpkin the one that has yellow hair and flapping lips or the one Linus believes in?
  14. Yeah... Tell us how many of those complainers you are bringing up have lived with the type of benefit that allows them to call those games "cheap". Because those complaining were either too young, too broke/poor, or had no means of knowing these games existed. Something those you have excused will never really discuss simply because having more viewers is the only thing important to them. Things that I, among others, either have said or would say if you were willing to listen. But since you think it's "our fault" for not having your benefits... I do not know what I can say to you.
  15. Meanwhile... But seriously, though... Those who use the app claim it's more about retaliation for what users did to his Tulsa, Oklahoma rally. And none seem to dismiss the issue of it being part of a Chinese company. Either way... I avoid politics because of the level of political stupidity I had to deal with both on Facebook and in person.
  16. @MiamiSlice The funny thing is that what you said about MetalJesusRocks is one reason why I gave up on building a graded comic book collection. It's all about this hype that is not even there. And seeing how much these dunderheads are losing, the mistakes I have made since joining this site is not as bad. So while I like being part of this community, I'll also hope one of you guys will send me off to an institution if I made the mistake of paying premium for piece of said "hype".
  17. And I am partially thankful that I was given a non-overpricing reason to stop collecting comics again. All I will say is that HA would not overprice a 9.8 graded copy of The Incredible Hulk #181 because "Disney plans to introduce Wolverine into the MCU." eBay sellers would. And if their asking price looks sane, it is because HA buyers want it for both the grade (even if it looks like a 9.6) and the idea "Disney plans to introduce Wolverine into the MCU."
  18. Anything that is not new, but is still cool enough to either use or display.
  19. I just finished off the fossil portion of my museum a while back. Plus I am finding that my original designs are a pain in the butt when it comes to doing them. So... Yay me?
  20. Thanks to the "fans" (outside here), and owning a digital copy, getting a physical copy for my collection is a no-go. Which is fine since Dengeki Online has announced that Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne is being remade for both the PS4 and Switch. And that might lead to a Q4 2020-Q2 2021 release state-side. Which should be when I am ready to buy any non-Japanese physical games (again).
  21. Honestly? The one thing people often overlook is that the publisher makes more money off the licenses and merchandise tied to said game than the game itself. It's one of those well kept secrets that only Disney talks about when it comes to their properties. As well as something you will often see a lot of when visiting places like Tokyo, or even conventions (among other examples). In the end a physical copy of any game could end up selling less than expected volumes. But as long as there is money in the licenses and/or merchandise, a sequel to said game could still be talked about. Then again... We also have the same owners of these IPs looking for additional ways to generate interest in their franchises. Franchises like The Legend of Zelda have expended into the manga market long ago. While others have gone into the comic and/or manga markets as well, atop of having animated adaptations being made. Which are examples on how one should maintain interest between games. Where as esports for fighting games and FPS (as an example) are more of a "for the money" event than a means to keep any franchise alive. And for many, it is seen as being no different than doing a "pay to win" game that often plague even those who do not make that an intentional front. So in the end, money to make a AAA game currently relies on more than just game sales. Meaning that as long as somebody buys a t-shirt, a soundtrack, or even published material tied to the franchise... There is money to be put into its sequels.
  22. Some of us are safe, but not everybody made it in time. Thankfully we had DNA and digital backups to work with. And one had the means of accelerating the growing process so they would have no clues that they were cloned. No clue on what will happen if they do find out that they are clones. With that said... Welcome back, Mr. E!
  23. Which makes you be correct. You have CGC grading it at a 9.8 alone ramps up its value. Add the signatures being verified, ditto. Plus you have a confirmed movie or TV series that has a popular following? Cases like this should have you triple down by getting added advice from those from the CGC and CBCS forums. (BTW, I am "Instant_Subtitles" at the CBCS forum.) Because chances are you might get an offer at either forum or even get help selling it at Heritage Auction. (I tend to feel eBay is fine, but I have seen better results at HA. But they do things differently.) Either way, good luck.
  24. Heh. I hope your dealings did not have the occasional hint of sadism. Then again... I literally had to do things just to get them to take everybody's issue with HafuGirl seriously. aAnd by that time I gave up on them enforcing any rules that make what they claimed that place was.
