  1. I never listen to audience scores, but do listen to those who have actually watched the movie. For example, I got to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 3D. It was in Osaka, on New Years day, and I was in the area because I wanted to visit the Pokémon Store that was in that area. Then I saw it in 2D at a second theater just to see how it looked that way. And finally in 4D because that was the last option I could find. With me giving the top score to the 3D version, while the 2D version felt fine... With the 4D just being too much for me. (Then again, I also walked through Osaka's worst neighborhood to get to that theater.) All of it was fine and those who came to see the film were fans. With none of them looking stupid, or whatever. Which had me return to the states just to deal with the low emotional IQ (or emotional intelligence, or even EQ) just continue the same level of hate that had me feel sorry for the actual fanbase. And with Peter Pan & Wendy? That is pretty much the case. If change, diversity, and everything else that has been a trend since the pre-Biblical era is an issue... Those who make it an issue are free to just ignore it. Which is something they will not do thanks to that low EQ scenario. Then again... Stuff like this is why I claim Clerks II is my favorite movie. Even if I have not seen it in years!

I feel like the realization of that conversation is one that could use Kevin Smith's touch. I mean that I can totally see @OptOut dressed up as Jay, with @fcgamer dressed up as Silent Bob. With you facepalming at it all, and not just me telling a Mensa member "In the realm of video games, the one true "return" is "Matroid II: Return of Samus"!" While a member of Mensa saying to all of us, "I would like to remind all of you that this is Mensa and NOT Mooby's!"

I'm part Doyle. So it is more or less a curse since I have found psychological similarities between me and some of my better known genetic relatives. With me saying that, from a familial point of view, that I am Sherlock Holmes but could have been a bit more John Watson if I was raised in a better environment. As opposed to being a Mycroft Holmes simply because the immediate family I deal with choose to not understand me. With others using their own egos and desire for self-entitlement to do the same. Point being is that I waste my intelligence (and money) trying to not act like I am smart enough to try for Mensa. I see psychological patterns better than I see spatial ones. I have tried out numerous grading companies, which includes the ones that get snubbed here, as a means to see what visual/emotional appeasement they have to offer. Plus I chose to return to VGS. And that tells me that I either should avoid Mensa or I should admit that I am a masochist. And not just a high-functioning "sociopath" (aka an Aspie).
  4. I have personally wanted to submit a 3DS game to Wata since 2018. So personally speaking? I think it was worth the wait. Especially since this is both a first print copy and the game itself was not a big seller (total sales: 0.08 million).
  5. I guess I am making VGS history today... So... Below are the "professional quality" photos I paid for. With me not being mad because I paid for the Speed Run and got something closer to the Warp Zone. Plus, this is so silver and sexy that I may have to nickname it @JamesRobot Jr.! As for what I said after I got this game... I was spot-on.
  6. Just a heads up, folks! I just got a notification that I shall have my first Wata submission back tomorrow! The good news is that all of the fruit flies were reserved for @inasuma's submissions. I think. Or was it fruit bats? I forget. Either way, there are no fruit flies and writing on my game. While the bad news is that the "professional photos" I paid for do not have the same professional look I got from VGA (2018) or CAS (2021). Regardless of that, which does kind of trigger my "collector OCPD" (which I'll post the photos tomorrow), I am officially a fan of the new case style, and do hope to submit more games in the future.
  7. The list is missing the "81562C" variant when it comes to the Canadian print variant of A Link Between Worlds. It's a print variant that I bought on eBay through a Canadian seller. But I ended up selling it because the copy of Tri Force Heroes I also bought from the same seller was in rough-ish shape.
  8. Oddly enough I asked an AI about this. And these are the results I got: FenrirZero: VGS Survivor Yuan (c.ai): What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Australia? 2389 AD Designer (c.ai): I have just the thing. VGS stands for Very Good Smelling, and this is the VGS Survivor Deodorant. Spritz this under your arms, and no matter how much stink you produce, this deodorant will completely eliminate all scents. Your pits will smell like lavender roses, no matter what you do! A deodorant bottle containing lavender-scented sweat-eating bacteria So my guess is that the AI overlords (that ae still working on my end) want this to be located in Australia. And they also want all the contestants to smell like lavender roses. Other than that, I hope more will come if it is pushed back. As for me? I'm currently washing my hair that day.
  9. My current feeling is that the more AAA titles that Sony reigns in for the PS5, the more I want I want to focus on both older and indy titles. Regardless if it is on Xbox or on the PC. Especially if those titles give me the same gaming experience that any new AAA title will claim to offer me.

Let it be known that I have concluded that I am a Bandai Namco guy, even if they did neglect J World Tokyo (Ikebukuro's Sunshine City) before that was closed down. And also stopped serving both my favorite gyoza and everybody else's favorite ice cream flavors (ox tail and wasabi) at Namja Town! (BTW, I tried some icky flavor called "hot chocolate" when I was there in 2012.) I mean I am with @Jynx on the whole high and lows part. But while I do prefer Capcom's library for the most part, the Konami Sports Club is something short of legendary to me!
  11. Yeah... When it comes to the Disney era, none of the female characters had a child out of wedlock, put that kid up for adoption, ignore the fact doing all of that goes against the Jedi Code, become the Jedi Grand Master, and act like the Jedi Order his a higher standard than the Sith. That is how far the quality went when the newer pre-Disney stuff is compared to the original Tales of the Jedi comics, as well as everything written by Timothy Zahn. But, then again, I am still amused by the fact that the so-called "fans" are ignoring the fact that Leia had always been condescending to men since 1977.
  12. I sincerely hope the images they offer your games look nicer than the ones shown for mine! But yeah... Seeing that my lone submission is a 3DS title, I also cannot wait to see it in person! And even show the results (if they did not do anything that annoys me, like what VGA and CAS had done).
  13. Being one of those fans that fought for the Expanded Universe to be canon, I find that claim to be ironic. And I am saying that in the sense being that I argued with a forum moderator that did work for the official Star Wars forum! I mean... I read Dark Empire, Dark Empire II, and Empire's End. The first story helped me get into the Sequel Trilogy, with the rest helping me prefer how the reboot continuity concluded the Skywalker saga. I mean the way they were allowed the kill Emperor Palpatine was the worst thing I have ever read! I mean from a fan standpoint the original Expanded Universe was just bad for the most part. So much that I can tolerate everything Disney has allowed. Especially since they did not have the hero who killed Palpatine be a quadriplegic Jedi who was only around because he had his body be incased in a hover droid body with lightsabers for arms. Then again... I cringed at how hypocritical the Jedi Grand Master turned out to be in The Old Republic. And still feel that is one element I am glad they are not bringing back to this new continuity.
  14. The grader I met at the post office (that was less than a mile from Wata's office) said that his boss is a member here. And that others at Wata know who you are. With it sounding like you were not a "Dain in the butt" to said member in question.
  15. Speaking of grading and speed runs... My first submission to Wata Games has hit post-grading! This was the biggest surprise since the day I found out that @Gloves was well known at Wata Games! With the grading results being as "shocking" as the fact that nobody knows who I am there. Plus, Wata has the image of my game's spine being upside down. So I think that journalist would get some clicks reporting that as a controversy.
  16. I remember this advert! It was tied to my favorite article where the author did an investigation into how VGA did business during their Tom Derby era! In this case Tom Derby was the former owner of Cloud City Collectibles, but sold it to Brian's Toys after he had purchased CGA. So long before the entity was more than just AFA, Brian's Toys was given ties to the grading company. Both Brian Semling and Tom Derby created Premier Collectible Auctions (click here). When it came to grading video games, Tom Derby says that he has a role in the creation of that. With Brian's Toys being observed to have bought sealed games at those prices. Which had them, as you can guess it, sell the copies they had graded for a premium (click here). With additional titles, and graded consoles, sold at Premier Video Games (click here). But yeah... I tried to do business with Brian's Toys when it came to my Star Wars collecting days. So them skipping out on any more rare titles in 2007 does not surprise me.
  17. Reading more than half of the stuff most of you say here, I sometimes do wish I had a beer magically appear in front of me. But like @Jynx I do not get drunk or high (with my reasons being tied to a promise I made to my Grandmother). But unlike Jynx I have a history of making bad decisions simply because I am always sober. But there was this one time Satan appeared to me and offered me a trade. I asked him what he had and what he wanted. He said that he had @fcgamer's soul and offered it for the grilled cheese I had just made. Seeing how it was not a fair trade on my part, he ended up saying how he got high and that he was jacking up auction prices on Heritage Auction. But when he became sober, he found out that he made a deal that he did not want. Something about how Hell is supposed to be Hell for others, and all that jazz. Which ended with me feeling sorry for him, giving him two grilled cheese sandwiches, and still waiting on China to see if they will give some sesame dumplings in exchange of his soul. (Which might not happen since my original deal was for all the pot in Tibet.)
  18. If I can be honest, the majority of NES games should be categorized as "boring" if Metroid is boring. With reasons being that they were not made for everybody that wants to play a NES game, and/or not the ideal age made for those who want to play an NES title, and/or those who do not have the patience to understand anything about the game. Plus, good devs write down information for those who like a game but do not have the means to complete it without help. Which I prefer simply because there were times where I was stuck in a questionably bad designed level and had no way to figure it out. All because there was no internet to just look up what is needed to get past it.
  19. If we are talking about the 3DS version, that version is one of my past mistakes. Meaning that I should have bought it instead of Ocarina of Time, just like how I should have bought Dragon Quest VII instead of Dragon Quest VIII. With both cases being tied to my many mistakes. If we are talking about the N64 version... The little I had played was not to bad. What turned me off was the time limit part of the game. And the fact I did not have an N64 at that point in my life. (Again, mistakes were made.) Same with the collector pack re-release. That was the version I wanted, albeit sealed. Which is why I give the game an 8 out of 10. Now if we were talking about the "Ben Drowned" story version, I have to give that a 10/10. It was the reason why I debuted on NA as "YOURTURN" with some haunting results when I tried to replicate the Creepypasta story. With me literally saying that things happened when I did that. Twice.
  20. Today I can write off Wata Games' current location as a place I wanted to visit (or encounter, thanks to Square Enix's Shibuya office). The bad news is that it was the only way for me to find out that they do not accept drop-offs. So I had to go to a local post office (and wait because the small staff had a lunch break) before I had to pay for them to ship it off. I did, however, meet Andrew. He is a Wata Games grader and an overall nice guy. Which also makes him the first active grader, second overall, I have ever met.
  21. You, good sir, are a god among all Daves on this board. So much that I am recommending that @fcgamer take a beer break. Oh, and welcome to the boards. And if you ever decide to play Fortnite instead of responding to anything I say, that is normal. So until that time comes, have fun and be wary of the Hufflelumps and investors.
  22. Welcome to the club. All I can say is that type of attitude is why I don't voice my opinion about VGA as much as I could have. And also why I ended up quitting the Dragon Quest fandom as a whole while I was gone. At the end of the day, the amount of time and energy I put into studying both did not matter to those who just play and collect. Plus, I am not going to question what you are saying. You know the seller, which makes me wonder if the photos are of the actual product. Or if they have a habit of doing a bait and switch. Kind of like the fact I believe this one PS3 title I sold for $10 might have been a resealed copy. But chose not to say when he ignored the rarity of another game I sold him.
  23. And suddenly I feel like you are going to have a Dark Helmet moment. But yeah... The photos shown remind me of the certified prototype copy of Earthbound that was shown in my favorite VGA investigation article. And while the board used is different from Acclaim's prototype copy of TROG!, there are a few details that match up to the Harvest Moon prototype board. Different systems, sure, but I am also going to question the legitimacy of this. Too much energy and the ones that should have some type of information to give a valid conclusion is Nintendo.
  24. I want to put on record that I am a money losing masochist, and not a doom-struck gimp.
