  1. This is exactly what I'm talking about. You see it and there's a combination of "WTF" but also enough intrigue to make you want to buy it. Seriously, though, what is that game about and why does that image relate?
  2. I think those are fair points. I really do give it the "worst RPG I've ever played" award, but as I said, it's not "bad" in a broken sense. It's just boring. Regardless, I too played through the thing start to finish. The mechanics were good enough to keep me going but there just wasn't a lot to do. I can't recall how long it took me to finish it, but it must have been in the 12-15 hour range. 20 hours as an absolute tops. I doubt I could have played it for much longer if it was longer than that. I also recall that as you could level, you could spam your upgrade points into a one of the attack elemental types and you were quickly OPing everything. I probably kept going trying to max that out. As a kid, I kind of liked grinding in RPGs just so I could decimate everything in my path. This also might have been my first "action" RPG in a 3D environment. I forgot about that, so there's a chance that it was part of the novelty that kept me going. It's easy to forget details like that as I've aged.
  3. Ever play Quest 64? I had a PS1 and N64 as a kid and LOVED PS1 RPGs, but had really wanted to get one for the N64. I remember reading about Q64 in it’s early days and really wanting it. Yes, I was one who paid full retail for that title, likely within the first few weeks of it’s release. Though I still beat it because I bought it, I don’t think there was ever a bigger disappointment for me in a game purchase. And I agree with what many others have said. Quest isn’t bad because it’s broken or poorly made and buggy. It’s bad because it was the most boring, bland, uninspired RPG I’ve ever seen. It makes FF Mystic Quest look like Xenogears in comparison.
  4. I’m just gonna put this here. But in all seriousness, have you ever seen a cover of a game that was so weird, awkward or just plain crazy, you wanted to buy it? I don’t collect Japanese GB games and I already have the US version of Tasmania Story for my set, but this is almost to amusing to pass up.
  5. The reason why they don't do it is because many scrap yards will have rules in place to prevent this from happening. Sort of related, I had a buddy in college who live near Buffalo, NY. I have no idea if this is true but back then there was a Kodak 35mm manufacturing plant. Supposedly silver was needed in the process, and within something like a 100-mile radius, jewelers and other scrappers wouldn't buy LARGE rough chunks of silver without first running it through Kodak. The friend of mine who told me this story was generally trustworthy, but I wondered how true that was. Still, I've heard of other scrap yards having similar rules when specialty manufacturing was in certain locations.
  6. An amazing collection paired with an amazing setup. Congrats on an exceptional collection and soooooo much CIB, all of it looking like it's in quality condition too. How long have you been collecting? EDIT Better question, who were you on NA? I recognize your avatar but I can't place it with the name.

    Go To Game

Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy Adventure for RPGs. If I just want a platformer I'm familiar with, it's SM64. For the NES, I think they game I like the most and will come back to again and again is SMB3.
  10. I have a few SFC titles I'd like to play, but I'm not interested in breaking my SNES by breaking the internal tabs to fit the carts in the machine. Is there a small/shallow adapter out there, that's well made an reasonably priced that you can pop in a SNES and play them? I'm hoping for something that's a bit low-profile, and might actually fit under the hinged door, making the SFC cart stick out of the SNES about 1-1.5 inches taller than a SNES cart.
  11. I've not watched anime since Record of Lodoss War. Sorry.
  12. Pretty awesome! What's special about the box flattened in the frame? Just curious.
  13. New forum, who dis? Seriously, though, I miss swooning, Santa-Mario.
  14. FYI, here's the Carolina Reaper Paste. Not as hot as you'd expect but it's pretty spicy and GREAT!
  15. The real question is, why is a pink shower head in a kids blind bag?
  16. Not sure if it counts, but I had a very high percentage on "Welcome To Jungle" on whichever Guitar Hero that was on, on the highest difficulty level. I wasn't one of those insane-o's capable of 100% the most difficult songs at the maxed settings, but I could be most of them at that level. At least the ones that were hard because of killer solos. Eventually you get to a point where you're not following dots on a screen, but patterns of play that had a "shape" on the highway.
  17. It’s worth going into Aldi for the Carolina Reaper Paste alone. Aldi can be hit or miss. Don’t buy most of their produce if you’re not going to eat it in 48 hours—it will go bad. They mostly sell stuff they manufacture but not entirely. Think generic brand stuff in super markets. However, on occasion they have “boutique” brands which can be awesome and on even rare occasions the Aldi brand stuff is better than the alternatives. We get our staples from their but we do have to usually go a couple times a week but, again, it’s because the produce seems to be not at coated in preservatives (which is good, I guess) and will go bad if you don’t eat it quick enough.) we’ve definitely thrown out our sad share of tomatoes, spinach and bananas.
  18. I’m not aware of the THPS big head mode but NBA Jam does have a “big head” mode/cheat and it was released in 1993.
  19. I already picked up those pins about an hour ago, bro. Just and FYI.
