  1. What about the owner and employees of Applebee's or many other situations where this is causing financial hardship? You guys talk as if there are no implications of mass isolation for a virus that the vast majority would have non-critical symptoms, if any. It's easy to call this the best course of action when you have the luxury to have paid sick time etc., but that's not the case for a lot of people who have very little benefits or own a private business that isn't 'essential'. I do think this is a serious illness but don't act as if shutting everything down for an undermined amount of time is simply people missing out things like sporting events etc.
  2. Thanks. Gonna check out some of these later tonight.
  3. Not really a handheld guy but the ones I do have are stored in their retail boxes except for my GBA which I just have sitting around since it's the only one I play semi regularly.
  4. Yes, it is tedious. It took me a while even to get a good version of MAME with the appropriate game list. Then there are obviously 1000s of games on the list. At least it's easy to fliter out the broken games. From there I just started playing the games I knew and fix the ones that were not working which surprisingly wasn't all that many. It's annoying though as the broken ones I tend to just download the ROM that has the exact name and size and it usually fixes it. Not sure why that is. Thanks for the suggestions, folks. I've checked out a few lists on YT too for 'arcade hidden gems' . Lots of good games out there.
  5. Hey all, Looking for some good MAME games to play. Preferably ones that are easy to run or that I likely already have (I have a 'full' MAME game list). Going through my list there are a number of games that are broken but I've cleaned it up a lot and have most of the classics running. I would definitely like some more suggestions of some of your favourite games. I like pretty much everything: shooters, run n gun, beat em ups, puzzle, fighting, etc. Some of the titles I play regularly... TMNT, MK, Street Fighter (2/Alphas), Tekken, Final Fight, Contra, 19XX, GI Joe, King of Dragons, AvP, Simpsons, X-men, X-men v Street Fighter, Wrestlefest, Double Dragon, Tetris, Puzzle Bobble, Snow Bros., Sunset Riders, Ninja Baseball Batman, Metal Slug, etc. Thanks
  6. It was entertaining and I was hyped with Star Wars coming back out but it didn't really do much for me. I think I actually enjoyed the movie a little more the second time around but could go without ever seeing it again.
  7. Was really sick this week so I started playing some Yoshi's Island. Took a couple of days to get 100%. Not quite as tedious as I remember besides a few stinker levels. That last boss fight is one of the best!
  8. Some flat screens are worse than others but I've never had or played on one that matches a CRT. Flatscreens usually handle HDMI pretty well but any other input there is typically processing that really makes older consoles unplayable. Even with a good flatscreen on game mode you'll always be missing a few frames at the very least. It's very frustrating which is why I just keep a good CRT around. To me there is still nothing that quite compares even with all the options available with emulation now.
  9. Yeah for sure. Define a situational basis. I usually set my prices to the highest sold listing I can find then throw obo on there with an auto decline around 60% give or take.
  10. Haha yeah that's pretty ridiculous of them for such a small amount. That's not a bad offer at all and I fully agree with your reaction. I am also surprised that about 1/3 or so of my BIN obo listings get bought without an offer.
  11. It's a two way street. I have BINs up but have an auto reject for lowballs. It absolutely amazes me how many offers get default rejected which are usually set at about 60% of my asking price. Like does the buyer really think if I have a $100 item that I'm going to accept $50 or less? A lot of times people will hit the threshold and then when I come back with a counter offer it's ignored. I agree that rejecting a solid offer or ignoring an offer is frustrating when the option is enabled.
  12. Never heard of them. Gonna be prejudice and just give a zero up front based on the video stills and previous comments.
  13. It was good but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it again.
  14. A lot of my favourite games post 2000 are 2D platformers. NSMBU/ Luigi U Duck Tales Remastered Shovel Knight Stryder Mega Man 9, 10, and especially 11 DKC Returns and TF Mario Maker (haven't played 2 yet) All great games in my opinion. Rayman Origins, Giana Sisters, and Shantae were all pretty solid too. Probably a few more I can't think of off the top of my head that I've played and enjoyed.
  15. Not my favorite and kind of a joke to me but they do have a few enjoyable songs. Very nostalgic band. 4.
  16. I just have generic beige curtains. Didn't want to get too carried away with the Nintendo/game theme.
  17. Steve Vai's 'Drive the Hell Outta Here' or whatever it's called plays during Link's driving test.... have to appreciate that --- The other funny thing about this movie is how it resolves. Basically Matt brings the photos of Link to the prom and everyone just ignores it since Link is so cool haha. Also the main guy (Sean Aston) is an unlikable piece of shit for the whole movie.
  18. Good sale imo. You'd never be able to sell half that stuff if it wasn't in a bundle. I'd take the $80 just to not have to deal with it as you did.
  19. Jurassic Park for SNES. The game had a lot going for it but the lack of save feature and the sluggish controls in first person mode made it pretty terrible.
  20. A few dead giveaways are how glossy they always look. Even some of my mint CIBs don't have the same sheen to them as a lot of these repro boxes. They are usually over saturated in color as well. Also, surprisingly to me, they are almost always listed as reproduction boxes now. They may have figured out it's easier to sell fake shit as is than trying to play it off as real and scamming. The other golden rule is that if it's too good to be true (price) then it probably is. You click on any newly listed Nintendo item on eBay that's a good price and that little banner will come up "45 people have viewed this in the last hour" and it's been online for 5 minutes.
  21. I've pretty much been using the Wii classic controller for my NESCE since day 1. Same port as the Wii remotes! Gald the SNES came with two controllers though.
  22. I like this movie but only because of the nostalgia. I can't even really tell you why I like it as much as I do besides that.
