  1. I have a local antique mall with a booth that has a 4-Switch Woody and the usual smattering of common games for $125. It's been there over a year and I chuckle every time I see it. Oh and forgot to mention one of the switches is busted into the console.
  2. Pretty much any cart based console. I grew up with SNES/N64 but I love them all. The Atari's including Jaguar, Nintendo consoles, Sega Master System and Genesis, they're all fun for me.
  3. When it finally comes time for a database/collection tracker, can we do all systems not just Nintendo? Seems obvious since it's not a Nintendo focused site but I haven't seen anyone talk about it. Unless I missed it. Also @Gloves I can volunteer to do data entry if/when necessary.
  4. This. Its always been my collection tool. So hopefully we get one here soon
  5. Ok so I spent some time looking at it and they did indeed change the numbers to include the Collector's/Deluxe editions. It does seem weird and annoys me that they would adjust these numbers just recently after a year or more of some of these games being released especially when it seemed as if the numbers were always supposed to reflect the total order they placed with Nintendo to begin with. Unfortunately that means their numbers can't be trusted for some time as who knows what else is wrong.
  6. Let me ask what is the appeal of steelbooks for you? It's something Ive never really "got".
  7. Looking through the methods are you guys sure goo gone will eqt plastic? Ive left that stuff sit on carts overnight when i needed to remove stickers. Never affected the plastic. Are you sure you guys aren't thinking of Goof Off? That stuff eats plastic
  8. Awesome collection. This is one I've always had on my back burner that I wanted to complete.
  9. I loved this game. Like everyone stated its never gets super challenging but it kept me engaged and wanting more. The themed courses are really fun and arcadey like the course with the giant holes. The story was nice and it has some disc golf which was cool.
  10. Both could be true but keeping some back for expo's and replacements is still apart of their order from Nintendo. So it would or should have been included in the initially reported number. Even it wasn't that doesn't really explain 2,3,5+ thousand unit jumps.
  11. Their numbers were always total numbers, that doesn't really explain why games jumped multiple thousands of units.
  12. So The new site has prompted me to go through all my data I have for Switch games that I used to keep the NA database as current as possible. When I initially entered in the LRG games I also recorded the production numbers for each title that I got directly from Mighty Rabbit Studios AKA LRG. But now that I'm going through and re-doing my sheets I see that they are listing MANY more printed for any given title. For example, Thimbleweed Park when I entered it into the database was stated to have 11,000 units produced. looking now they are claiming 14,000 produced. I thought maybe it was just a fluke and I goofed Thimbleweed's numbers. But looking through almost all of the first 20 or so games except for one or two now have multiple thousands more produced than previously stated. So I believe they have either produced more and adjusted quantities or their number reporting is atrocious.
  13. It doesn't have to be called rarity I suppose. But the community population thing works too. I just like the idea of knowing a general amount of a title that people here would have even if it doesn't directly correlate to a rarity scale it still helps size up what's desirables
  14. Those are really cool posters. I wish i could find anything of interest at out antique malls
  15. Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I'm still waiting for Skullgirls from Skybound but luckily I think that will be here in December. But that was another one that has been taking a long time.
  16. This is something that I suggested over at NA that I think was semi-implemented. Basically a dynamic rarity scale based on the number of user that own a game. If we (hopefully) get a collection tracker, for every person that has a game the rarity of it goes down as it is more common. Like anything this is not a perfect scale but it would be more accurate than the moe or less "guess" we operated under NA. The last time I suggested this it was pointed out that if a Quantity parameter was implemented it could be used to swing the rarity of a game. Like if someone claimed to have 100 Stadium Events. I would like to believe no one would do that or maybe the mods could see the most recent quantity changes and who did them to follow up on such a thing. If that seems not realistic than it could be based on the person and not the game. So each individual counts towards rarity but not the quantity they own. A game that 5 people own is less rare than one that two people do regardless if those people own multiple copies. Again this isn't a perfect system but I think it's a fairly valid method.
  17. I really like this idea. Hope it can be implemented someday.
