  1. I really wish that was the case. Im love the House of the Dead. Its one of the two or three arcade games I would actually go and get the real machine for. But the Switch port with gyro aiming just isn’t great. It gets un- calibrated SO easily. Yea you can recalibrate it with a button but it’s just not satisfactory. I end up firing with 2 buttons at the same time so Im recalibrating every shot. I could just play with the cross hair controller mode, but who wants to play a HotD game like that?
  2. Anything that has actually arrived to my house via a DHL truck has needed to be signed for. Which is a pain in the ass for me personally. They always show up when Im at work and then leave a little door handle hanger thing for you to sign so they can be allowed to leave it the next day. At some point I had a spark of brilliance where I kept one of those door handle hangers and signed it without putting a date and just leave it on tge door when I expect them to show up so I don’t have to wait another day for them to come back
  3. This movie came out when I was in elementary school. A year or two after it cane out I had a bunch of friends over and my mom let us watch the movie. I think we were 12 at the time. As tou can imagine a bunch of 12yr old boys getting to see boobs and and a whole movie about sex, was a big deal. Im still best friends with those guys, and my mom loves to tell the story of how she talked to all the other parents and how they all agreed it was time to let us watch boob movies. It holds a great memory for me, but not something I would go out and watch on purpose again. So definitely a 5. It seems like a generational defining movie though, like Porkys was 20yrs before it. The kind of movie that defines your high school years. We were just a few years too young for that to be case. Superbad on the other hand, WAS dead in the middle of high school for me and definitely defined that era for my friends
  4. Those two games specifically, and the WCW counterparts actually have the easiest control set of any wrestling games Ive played. Tap B, Weak Strike Hold B, Strong Strike Tap A, weak grapple Hold A, Strong grapple Once in a grapple, the move you do is determined by, hitting a direction on the D-Pad and hitting A or B. They give you a few seconds after initiating a grapple to make the next button press. So you can let them sit there in the grapple position and you can easily choose a particular move to do. Example: Hold A into strong grapple…take a second or two to think about what I want to do, hold up on the D-pad and tap A. Boom choke slam. or maybe I decide I want a pile driver, just hold down on the D-pad and tap A, Bam piledriver.
  5. You bastard! That’s the one game Ive beaten for this challenge every year since it started! /s I’ll lend my experience to this game since it’s probably the only N64 game I can claim to be an expert in. First the stamina bar is a health bar. Second there is a key to multi-man matches. In 3 ways and the Royal Rumble: Run from the other wrestlers. Just stay at the opposite side of the ring and target whoever has higher stamina (Edit: forgot to say use Taunts on the targeted opponent) Switch targets when the first person you target drops low enough. Let the opponents wear each other out while you wait on the sideline and build to your special. Then once you get to your special your opponents should be down in the green or blue on their bar. (3-way) Hit them both with a special if you picked a wrestler with a fast enough special. Pin the first one you hit, after taking down the second. This keeps the second opponent down long enough to not interrupt the pin on the first. (Royal Rumble); Hit anyone and everyone with a special. Then back off to a corner away from everyone and rinse and repeat. Let the opponents do the dirty work of throwing each other out. It is definitely a slog of a match Tag Team Matches: Wear down your opponent like any 1v1 match and do your best to keep the opponent from tagging. It’s not required but it just takes longer if they do. Once your ready to make a pin, lay out your opponent, turn to target their partner, throw a strong punch to knock them off the side of the ring, then go to pin. This will always prevent the the opposing tag partner from interrupting the pin. Alternatively, before you plan on a pin, put a submission on to force both partners to come into the ring. Then hit your finisher on your active opponent and wait a second or to for your partner to tie up the opposing partner then make the pin. To your other comment about getting countered a lot. That means your trying to make strong moves to early. It takes a good 2-3mins of light strikes and grapple moves at the beginning of any match before you start making strong moves. If the opponent is still getting up immediately after being dropped, don’t bother trying a strong move. Sometimes RNG will still screw you but you can also quit the match and retry at any time if it gets ridiculous.
  6. My main slowdown happened in 2017 when I went back to college. I’ve maintained that level ever since
  7. I like Greta Van Fleet a lot. I only see a few of their songs as very “led-zeppelin-y.” What usually happens when people compare two bands I like. I start hyper focusing on the two to find the similarities and often end up finding more differences then similarities. I particularly focus on vocals. So in my head I’m analyzing every little thing I hear, “nope, Plant wouldn’t have pronounced that like that.” “Nope, that cadence isn’t the same, that tone is pretty close, etc.” I actually think the singer sounds way more like Geddy Lee just for being in such a high register at pretty much all times. Plant didn’t really do that. Anyway, even if your someone who thinks they’re just a ripoff Zeppelin, Zep is never going to give you anything new, might as well enjoy what you can get. It’s better then hearing Kashmir for the 20,000 time. I say that being a massive Led Zeppelin fan.
  8. Ms Pacman Maze Madness was actually pretty fun. Was way more enjoyable then I expected when I went to play through it.
  9. Yea I tried finding reviews and most of what comes up is just the nerdwallet-esque sites that just list fees and such without any mention of anything else. I have a capital one CC already so I think In going to just use their account since Im familiar with them and it streamlines my accounts so it’s just another tab on my account rather than a whole new site and logins, etc
  10. Premier is at 4.13 and the other is 4.3, that’s why I was curious
  11. Anyone familiar with Premier Savings or Western Alliance Bank? They have some good rates on their accounts right now and am looking for a account at the moment. Curious if anyone has ever had any dealings with them before as they are about .5% or better then most other places
  12. When I made repros I did similar to what @Tanookiposted. Regular paper, high quality print settings. But I laminated with 3in wide packing tape. Gave it protection and just the right glossy-ness. They still look good tens years later
  13. All I attempted to get was Fata Morgana and the shipping glitch prevented me from thay
  14. 2222 I’ll vote for a turd over Green Day and Nirvana barely has a chance above that level for me
  15. Ive always wondered what womens fascination is with fine china. I guess guys could be into it too, Ive just haven’t known any. Ive worked in an auction house for a few years and we did a lot of estate auctions and almost every one of them had some kind of “fancy” china that grandma had that was supposed to be passed down to the grand/daughter. But people inheriting it never had any interest and it barely ever sold. I guess that could be said of any collectible left to family, it’s just that “fine china” has been a thing for seemingly hundreds of years and yet no one really seems to care about it yet every family has a set. There has only ever been one family Ive ever actually seen use the stuff too.
  16. I understand digital being about a certain amount of convenience. Not having to travel with games is an example. Though when people use the example of not having to get up to change out carts. I consider that to be one of the laziest things ever. I don’t really care how you spin it, it comes off as lazy, and as much as I try not to be elistist/gatekeeper-y in this hobby, that is one thing I do scoff at. What I don’t get is the willingness to give up ownership in exchange for convenience. Ownership IS freedom in a sense, and to give that up just so you don’t have to wait an extra day for a game, or have to choose which game or two to travel with, or physically get up to change a game, it’s baffling to me.
  17. It’s all the rage when everyone seems to look at living spaces as 5-7yr turn around investments instead of actual homes. It’s sad to me
  18. I agree with @phart010once it’s digital only, Im out. I don’t use steam/pc for gaming either. I have enough to keep me occupied for life. Barring VR that hits a real hardcore level of awesome. I could see me never playing a new game beyond the digital only point
  19. @darkchylde28 Honestly can’t say I noticed any of that and I certainly didn’t belong in any clique or had any friends on there. I was no different there than I am hear. Occasionally post a couple comments, rarely start a new thread with some decent gaps in between doing those things. The only real difference was I bought and sold a bunch in the marketplace. The only pms I ever got were for haggling essentially
  20. If anyone was on the fence about the Konami Arcade classics from LRG it looks like they extended the preorder window to January 15 up from tomorrow.
  21. I never understood what people meant when claiming NA was toxic or had issues or whatever. I was on there daily from 2011-end and didn’t see anything that would cause me to call out a site for. Maybe it’s just I didn’t go into threads that these things happened in. I also never received any kind of warning/reprimand/ban. Sure there was maybe a handful of people that were annoying to me but that’s what the block button was for. If the barometer for toxic is needing to block some people then this place would qualify too ass I have 2 people on my block list here as well.
  22. Looks like people are getting the Binding of Issac Repentance delivered. Is that a brand new game or like a deluxe edition?
