Printerboy Console covers
LeatherRebel5150 replied to MrWunderful's topic in General Collecting Discussion
@AirVillain they look fake because they are fake? I like the idea of looking at my consoles, but I like the idea of not having to clean them even more. If I had sealed cabinets to put them in that still allowed them to be used then it wouldn’t be a problem. But I don’t, so it is. It may be cheesy, but having to dust and clean out the grooves/ridges of certain consoles, seems more cheesy to me -
Good point

The cards were not dropped before. You just didn’t get them and should have contacted them about it (if you care). Personally them getting rid of them doesn’t bother me. One less thing for the game is required “to be complete” Edit: Also remember they come loose in the package not within the game. It’s possible you threw it out. Ive come close to doing that a few times

It’s a lot easier to wipe the dust off of these then it is to clean it off of most consoles. They’re especially nice if you have pets that shed. Aint no hair getting in them cart slots -
Eh, the Switch has many thousands of games. I think it escapes that kind of labeling just by the sheer volume as the vast majority isn’t ports from those machines…I think

If anyone ordered that new Resident Evil collectors edition “coming out” in like 2 weeks from Gamestop, they’re canceling almost all of the preorders it looks like. All of the in store orders and many of the online ones -
You can kinda still get the same concept. Though in cabin form https://www.logcabinhomes.com

That add is from a reddit post. It’s a Sears home. I think it was from the 1920’s

Ive checked Digikey and Mouser in the past just could never find anything that doesn’t require moving the batteries to a different location or mangling the holder to make it work. The clips you linked to @darkchylde28 are surface mount so they are a bit of a pain since they get in the way of themselves when soldering. I guess there really isn’t an ideal solution for these

Alright, Im frustrated. I’m tired of dealing with battery clips that need to be cut/hacked into carts. Ive tried a few different clips and they all have issues being too big one way or another. Does anyone have a link to a battery clip that just fits height and Diameter wise for N64 and SNES carts? Edit: So here is the least difficult solution. That I can find Dahszhi Button Cell Battery Holder for CR2032-10pcs https://a.co/d/9Jk6fLG They are low profile enough to fit in every cart. The tabs/legs have to be bent down in order to work as they are meant for surface mount applications, though we’re using them for through hole in these games. They are EXTREMELY fragile and the legs will easily break off. This can be alleviated by starting the bend and then adding some solder in the crease to reinforce it before bending it the rest of the way. Suring bending it is extremely likely that the lower battery clip will pop out of place. It’s not critical, I ended up clipping the little side legs and just laying it in position. Once soldered to the board they aren’t necessary anyway. Ive found that they fit in SNES carts without any further modification. They require a corner of plastic be removed to fit in the N64 carts. https://imgur.com/a/iOFI5Fy

I prefer wires. Unfortunately they god rid of the headphone jack on iphones so I cant used wired headphones with the phone, but still use my classic ipod regularly with them. I REALLY rather have wired power tools too. The amount of times Ive been halfway through a project when the last battery dies and have to wait an hour for then to charge is maddening. So I moved to all wired tools. Similarly I stick with gas powered lawn equipment, A LOT of battery powered crap has been showing up like weedwhackers, leaf blowers, and push mowers. Nope sticking with gas there too

I don't know if it's ever been posted here before. But I just found someone that is doing really neat custom Instruction Booklets for Switch Games. I think for all first party stuff. Someone here may be interested in them https://www.etsy.com/shop/mbpuk/?etsrc=sdt -
My vote is Wrestlemania 2000. I admit No Mercy is more refined, but Ive always had and played WM2000 since back in the day
