  1. I just visited a Nook Miles island that was full of jackpot rocks, walked away with over 80k plus some coconuts.
  2. Have you done any new sculptures lately? I haven't seen any since the ones you posted on NA.
  3. If someone wanted to get into one of your hobbies and had $100 to spend, where would you recommend they start? If it were game collecting, I don't think you can do much better than a used DS Lite ($30) and $70 of GBA and DS games to start a collection. There are tons of great cheap games to get started and thecoverproject can help you make some nice cases for your loose GBA games that fit right in with the DS. If console gaming was preferred, PS2/360 can go pretty far on $100. For something more retro, a used Genesis is around $30 with the games still being towards the inexpensive end. And farther still, $100 can get you an Atari 2600 with 20+ games and an rf adapter. If it were rock collecting, you can get a good tumbler from Harbor Freight for $40, a decent supply of grit and tumbling beads for $30, and 3-4 lbs of rough stones/minerals to polish for another $30. That being said, there's an endless amount of rocks all around. If it were mixology/bartending, you can get a cheap $15 mixing set off Amazon and spend the rest on liquor. 750mL of each Evan Williams Black bourbon ($10), Tanqueray ($20), Tito's vodka ($15), Bacardi Superior or Cpt. Morgan White ($12), M&R dry vermouth ($8), aromatic bitters ($10-12), and various mixers (juice, citrus, tonic, soda, etc...) with the rest. Drinking isn't really one of my hobbies, but I still enjoy making them for friends and family.
  4. I have to catch a damn stringfish tonight! I was in the same boat, the stringfish was the only seasonal creature left to catch. At 10pm a had blown through my last 20 baits with nothing but common stuff. As I walked down the river to climb down, I saw a big shadow, threw a line, and reeled in a stringfish! And then my rod broke. As for the fruit, I have native peaches and have traveled to an apple island one night last week. I've read over on the Gamefaqs forum that you have better luck at night.
  5. It's dropped a $1 in the past 3 weeks here in San Diego ($3.50 -> $2.50). It sucks that gas gets so cheap once I don't have anywhere to go.
  6. If I were a betting man, I'd say Dragon Warrior for the NES.
  7. Anyone get the AC pre-order journal from Target yet? Mine still hasn't shipped so I'm glad I could pick up my physical copy at GS on Thursday.

From the makers of The Messenger. It's basically already been funded after 24 hours. Estimated digital release is 2022, no physical version mentioned. They know how to make a game, realistic release date, video and concept art on the Kickstarter, no stretch goals or random physical goodies to distract developers. Go support it.
  9. Here's a stack of guides I'm looking to get rid of. Shipping is $10, please include it with offers. Guides include... Final Fantasy XIII Collector's Edition (coffee stains on out edges of pages but pages are thick so nothing stuck together) Brady Games Resident Evil 6 Brady Games Spyro Season of Ice Prima Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire Brady Games Final Fantasy 12 Revenant Wings prima The Sims 2 PC Official Sega Genesis and Game Gear Strategies 3rd edition Anything else I can stuff in the box.
  10. True, but it's been a while since they have and I think that was due to the restructuring after the bailout. And they've even increased it three times since that cut plus 3X special cash dividends. The Ford family earns too much money from those dividends, so they have an incentive to keep it as high as possible. I trust them a lot more than GE, that cut bit me in the ass.
  11. I just sold off some games on eBay to pick up more Ford stock. Over 9% dividend at just under $6 a share is a bargain.
  12. It's true. It's like the Schrodinger's cat of video games, the case could have been empty for all I know.

My wife and I played both of these to completion way back in the day, before kids. Good times. We tried playing Diablo 3 together a couple years ago, but it wasn't the same.

Dragon Quest of the Stars is now available for download in the US.
  15. Starting tomorrow, GS is running a sale all week for B2G2 on all previous generation games. This includes DS, 3DS, Vita, Wii U, Wii, PS3, and 360. These are the sales they generally run before they just stop carrying them in store. This is a good time to pad out your loose (maybe cib if you're lucky) collection.
  16. That's one of the better ones but it evens out. Who's going to buy T&C for $5 locally?
  17. If Xenoblade Chronicles does well enough (which I'm sure it will), then X will be here next year.
  18. https://offerup.com/item/detail/828252837/ I had a garage sale today, this is all my odds and ends. Asking $100, guy paid $80 for everything except the strategy guides.
  19. I know it didn't go over so well in Japan when it released, but I watched it earlier today with my kids and I enjoyed it. But I love DQ, so it's kind of my thing. It's subbed and dubbed for those interested.
  20. Missed out on a CIB Parasite Eve 2 today at a local thift store I frequent. Some guy had it in hand as I walked up to the games. Usually I go straight to the games as soon as I walk in, but for some reason I did the opposite of my usual route. Would have been $2.99.
  21. Are there any specific games you guys are looking to pick up? I pretty much have all the Xbox games I need so I don't search too hard locally, but I'm willing to keep an eye out while about.
  22. It might not be a popular opinion, but say bring all the good Wii U games to the Switch. With the console, gamepad, 2 ac adapters, etc..., the Wii U takes up a lot of space I'd love to get back.
  23. Get the heck out of here, you nerd! Go get that thing. I already have that double disk but I'd still buy a sealed Wii for that price.
