Snacks, drinks, taiwanese green tea and a tea set to match (!), several very cool homebrews, a genuine taiwanese famicom original, a giant pile of extra famicom controller button inserts (fixed my famicom pads up good as new!), a stack of super famicom games (including many horse racing/derby simulators as I had hoped for), an original taiwanese switch game (!), and if that's not enough, a signed copy of his book about the history of unlicensed famicom games! (To give a sense of it all, the papers on the far-left are full-size printer pages). It's a ton of stuff! I've had a great time exploring all of the stuff he sent, and it definitely blew me away to get such a generous gift. If only I wasn't such a lousy photographer then I would have captured the display more effectively. Reveal hidden contents At this rate I might not even need to do secret santa next year; I'll still be busy with all the stuff I got! Secret Santa | 270 Posted January 1 Author Share Posted January 1 Alright, well it is now 2024, at least where I am so I am going to close the contest for "guess the santa". The $20 is going to be donated to St.Jude since nobody guessed it. So who was Santa? Well it was @SNESNESCUBE64 this year. Nobody ever suspects the goofball Yoshi. Anyway, thanks everyone for making Secret Santa fairly easy to maintain this year. It was super fun to run again. I haven't heard of any additional issues from anyone, so if anyone has any further issues, please reach out to SNESNESCUBE64 directly, I will be most likely logging out of Secret Santa in a few days. In the main thread Master said he missed the sign up date so I messaged him privately about doing a SS. This was a really amazing present! I'm not generally a popcorn guy, but the Fisher's Popcorn is some of the best I've ever had! I ate about a 1/3 of the bag in one sitting, and want to try to recreate it or do by own popcorn inspired by that using some of the Old Bay seasoning that was sent. I'm going to have fun cooking with that, too, and introducing it to some of my local friends. Growing up in south, central PA, it's a spice we often had at home. I was really surprised by those Ninja Turtles snacks. My Japanese friend was curious so we busted them out during Netflix night. The pizza ones were our favorite of the two, but the green apple marshmallow ones were pretty good too. Very unique, never had these before. I'm really excited to try the Zeke's coffee that Matthew sent, it smells really, really good. Enough about the food though, there's some gaming goodies in here too! First off is a light-up tree topper for my Christmas tree, which is shaped like the Triforce! This is really cool and I might even set it up in my game room for the non Christmas season. Then there are some tanooki items! A Tanooki Mario toy from the Mario movie and an Animal Crossing plush Tanooki.
