  1. I made "Meatloaf Wellington w/Mushoom & Madeira Sauce" I had this once a long time ago and the chef had a prob w/too much grease seeping into the bread dough. I think that was probably because they neglected to use "lean" meat as prompted by the recipe. I really like this meal a lot. I would recommend it in particular for those who believe that they do not in fact like Meat Loaf. I like meat loaf fine, but this one is on another level. If anyone decides to make it themselves def don't leave out the mushrooms, they def belong there in between the meatloaf and the sauce. One taste and you'll know what I mean. Recipe provided upon request.
  2. I find these fun to read from time to time, plus it's the only way to get a new episode. I haven't read Atonement though. Curious to know what you think when finished..
  3. I think the brunt of negative opinions are probably from people who pop it in and have no idea what to do or even how to operate the ship in the space levels. It's def a read the manual kind of thing in my opinion. Personally, I thought the space levels were really cool and fun but a little too easy once I got the hang of it. And the base (shooter) levels are pretty standard and good but the last one or two are formidable.
  4. I've seen it once, many many moons ago. I actually just picked up a VHS copy of it recently. ..So that's 3 people....
  5. I looked up some images. You should def. post some glamour shots sometime. Not sure what you meant by this. Otherwise, I tend to agree.
  6. Thanx! That's a really nice compliment from such a voracious reader as yourself. Though I've always been a reader myself it's sometimes funny for me to think about how much I've grown to enjoy writing, as it wasn't always the case. English was the only class I ever got an "F" in. It's also the only class I ever got a "D" in. And it's almost the only class I ever got an "Incomplete" in. Look at that, three sentences in a row that end in a preposition! You know, I've never really thought that that might be the case. Coming soon, I've got an old Panasonic with big knobs that's encased in some creamy off-white plastic that I'd like to start using. I've been thinking of hooking my SNES up to it. Just gotta figure where to set up, but I'll be sure and snap some pics to post.
  7. I agree with you that the latitudinal scuffs in particular on the back are indeed a red flag........... And then there is the fact that it is Blades Of Steel, which we would have expected to have seen a long time ago and many times already...
  8. Can you take a back pic and a close up of the circuit board?
  9. Because You're a Die-Hard-N64-Whore. ...which is ok in my book.
  10. I read this like six times in a row and broke at the punchline every time. Fifty-two! One for each week of the year I suppose... Sounds a bit frustrating, so I do hope that I'm laughing with you!
  11. Shadow Of The Ninja is done. When I beat this one for the first time I felt I had the Garuda battle down to a science but I guess I forgot somewhere along the line and had to figure it all out again. The levels did seem easier this time though.
  12. You mentioned NHL 94 on Genesis. Check out the soundtrack for the same on Sega CD if you haven't already. Sega CD games typically got their own unique soundtracks and so far I've never encountered a Sega CD game that didn't have Great Tunes. There is also a Hockey game called ESPN National Hockey Night on Sega CD but I am less familiar with it...
  13. Hmm, so weird; as soon as you took an interest I had a feeling that maybe I jumped the gun with my pronouncement which does seem to be the case now. It just seemed so similar to PAL Bombjack refusing to work in the SGB. Maybe I ought to clean my SGB again...
  14. Milon's Secret Castle is done. Much easier to No-Death than the NES version, since the bosses are pushovers by comparison. I didn't really run into any significant trouble except maybe when trying to get the balloon out of the well, I fell into some fire and had to kill the enemy twice since chasing after it is a slightly different experience than the NES version. Took down Maharito in the second position...
  15. Yeah, good idea, just in case It's flukin' on my SGB for some other reason...
  16. I recall reading somewhere that the SGB2 can play at least some pal games that won't work on a SGB. I'd have to presume that the same holds true for regular Game Boy games that don't work on the SGB. What happens is the screen reading: "GAME BOY" w/"nintendo" pops up but the "nintendo" part is all glitched up and it will not advance to the game's title screen. Instead you get a digital "Uh, uh" sound effect, so pretty much the same thing for a game w/dirty or excessively worn contacts except in this case the contacts are in great shape and super clean as I cleaned them twice. Also, the SGB's contacts were cleaned in the recent past and I tried getting it to work a couple dozen times, always getting an identical result. IIRC the same thing happened when I tried to insert my copy of "BombJack" which is the only PAL game I currently own. All of my other GB games work in it, usually on the first try or after 1 or 2 repeats at most.
  17. Skate Or Die: Bad N Rad is done. I should probably point out that the game gives you a levels 1-4 level select and then you have to beat level 4 to get 5, 5 to get 6 and 6 to get 7. This time around I just started on level 4 because I was a little tired of playing levels 1-3 over and over, which I've done many times recently. If anyone wants me to play the whole thing in one fell swoop I'm sure I can manage but I didn't think it would really matter due to the level select and the game giving unlimited continues.. This game is about 9/10 memorization and 1/10 improvisation and plenty fun in spite of a flaw or two. It looks good and the music and sound fx are great. The only problem really is that it's one of those games that doesn't register a jump if it's improperly timed eg. if you do not wait a proper fraction of a second after landing a jump, pressing jump again will not result in a jump. It's generally not a problem, but then it pops up and while unlimited continues resolves the brunt of the problem it can still be frustrating to have to start a level over for this reason. I didn't notice it until strategizing on the final boss, but similarly if you try to jump off a ledge at the last possible moment to try and get maximum distance the same thing happens and no jump occurs. It probably sounds worse than it actually is. Anyway, overall I found it to be fun and unique addition to the Skate Or Die Franchise. Update: So the ending dumped me off directly onto level 1 and I got curious if it would be different/harder or if anything would happen upon completing levels 1,2&3 and so played through 'em real quick, but nothing different happened. It just started a new game and and deposited me onto level 4 upon completing 3. EDIT: Almost forgot, if anyone is interested this game belongs on any list of Game Boy games that do not work on the Super Game Boy. (wait, actually it does. my bad.)
  18. Didn't Ritchie more or less take on the role of his defense attorney in all that...? And wasn't he supposed to have been cleared of all charges? ..and a 180˚ uncharacteristic comment (or perhaps it was a joke, I can't tell) from Ritchie is the reason he suddenly disappeared a while back..??
  19. Got my 1st Place Prize Pack a few days ago courtesy of @SuperJimtendo! Included: A neat-o cordless NES Zapper gun I did not know existed -and I usually know about this kind of stuff. Works from 15 ft and the o.g. NES Zapper gun has an 8 ft. cord so that could be interesting for having competitions. A NES homebrew titled: "The Arm Wrestling Classic" which also has the makings of great little party game. A Game Boy Color that will come in handy. It has a Pokemon screen and I have no idea how SuperJim knew my fav. color for a game boy color is Kiwi/Lime Green! Wave Race for Game Boy (can't go wrong w/racing) Dexter's Laboratory: Robot Rampage for Game Boy Color, which is like a much less frustrating version of Elevator Action, A Cool Metroid Sign, Donkey Kong for Atari 2600, A 3-screw Spyhunter, some Mario/Luigi/Yoshi Stickers, and a 3D printed Kickle, that looks to be signed on it's bottom and numbered #51 of....... 100?! He even gave me a couple of rechargeable AA batteries for the Game Boy Color, what a Guy!!! I def feel like I owe him a few beers, to say the least. Thanx A Bunch, Jimbo!!
  20. Vin Scelsa's on the radio Ramones are hangin' Out in Kokomo Roger Corman's on a talk show With Allan Arkush and Stephen King you know But it's not my place But It's not my place
  21. Hot water bath with Rosemary oil is good for accelerated internal wound healing. Just don't use too much. A few to several drops at most in a bathtub, or make a smaller combo in a smaller container. Also make sure its not just a fragrance but the real oil.
