  1. What a LAME ass site. I can't believe they consider it a good resource.
  2. I give it a 8/10 Personally, it's too hard for me to enjoy and I missed out on most of the "Souls" games so it's not quite my cup of tea, but I can see that there's a really really good game there.
  3. According to MobyGames you've got quite a bit of work ahead of you! 1980 - 709 Games 1981 - 955 Games 1982 - 1896 Games 1983 - 2668 Games 1984 - 2406 Games 1985 - 1887 Games 1986 - 2185 Games 1987 - 2299 Games 1988 - 2305 Games 1989 - 2421 Games
  4. Lol. The Wizard of Oz, King Kong, Dracula, Frankenstein, War of the Worlds, RoboCop, Total Recall, Planet of the Apes, Ocean's Eleven, Foot Loose, Godzilla, Halloween, Psycho, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Hills Have Eyes, Star Trek, Evil Dead, Blade Runner, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Karate Kid, Dr. Dolittle, The Stepford Wives, ......and all those Disney live action remakes would like a word with you.
  5. I still feel that dudes like @DreamTR or @VideoGameGalaxy and The Last Gamer, and "TheMaskedGamer" easily eclipse people like this. But still, even if you do not count any PC games and just do consoles and handhelds, and even if you include Japan/PAL/South America stuff in your lists then that's a really tough number to reach. Here's a really really really rough approximation of what you can reasonably collect. Oh, and I'm not sure if DS, 3DS, Wii, Wii U, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One count non-physical games. I just looked up on Wikipedia the game counts. Nintendo - ~14,650 Games NES/FC/FDS - ~1500 Licensed + ~250 Unlicensed (Not counting pirates in any form) SNES/SFC ~1750 Games N64/64DD - ~400 Games Gamecube - ~650 Games Wii - ~1650 Games Wii U - ~200Games GameBoy - ~1050 Games GBC - ~900 Games GBA - ~1500 Games DS - ~3400 Games 3DS- ~1400 Games Sega - ~3,500 Games SG-1000 - ~75 Games Master System ~300 Games Genesis/CD/32X - ~1100 Games Saturn - ~1050 Games Dreamcast - ~625 Games Game Gear- ~350 Games Sony - ~17,800 Games PlayStation - ~4100 Games PlayStation 2 - ~4350 Games PlayStation 3 - ~2550 Games PlayStation 4 - ~3400 Games PSP - ~1900 Games PSVita - ~1500 Games Xbox - ~6,100 Games Xbox - ~1000 Games Xbox 360 - ~2100 Games Xbox One - ~3000 Games Others - ~2,275 Games Atari 2600 - ~500 Games Atari 5200 - 69 Games Atari 7800 - 59 Games Atari Jaguar - 50 Games Atari Lynx - 73 Games Mattel Intellivision - 118 Games ColecoVision - 146 Games Magnavox Odyssey 2 - ~60 Games GCE Vectrex - 28 Games NEC TG / PCE / CD - 678 Games NEC PC-FX - 62 Games SNK Neo Geo AES - 117 Games SNK Neo Geo Poket - 83 Games Commodore CDTV - 22 Games Commodore CD32 - 147 Games Nokia N-Gage - 63 Games Phillips CD-i - 208 Games 3DO - 251 Games Roughly speaking, that's 44,000 games. If you take out the systems that might have digital only games in their lists (DS, 3DS, Wii, Wii U, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One) then you're left with a whopping sum of 22,975 games.
  6. @AirVillain ProTip: Shoot the things that move, and try not to get shot yourself. Thanks for reading my GameFAQs guide. Please consider donating to my patreon. GG.
  7. Abadox is the secret best shooter of NES. Well...Gun Nac and Recca '92 exist.
  8. I guess you’re right! My mistake there
  9. @TheRetroVideoGamer Good work, but there's lots of stuff to go over in your list. Let's see if I can cover it all. The following games are Famicom and or PAL Exclusive but are on your list. Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa Devil World Dig Dug I Earthbound Beginnings (actually just called Mother) Ninja JaJamaru Kun Pac-Land Rackets & Rivals Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (actually called Super Mario Bros. 2 in japan) Tecmo World Cup Soccer U-Four-Ia The following games are Unlicensed but are on your list. Pac-Mania The following games are Competition cartridges, but are on your list. Nintendo World Championships Nintendo Campus Challenge ALSO You're missing the following games in your list. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (either the Taito version, or Ubisoft version, both of which are completely different games) Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt / World Class Track Meet Super Spike V'Ball / Nintendo World Cup Pac-Man (either Tengen, or Namco late re-release) Punch-Out!! There's a couple other minor issues, but they're no bigger than my own errors in the above list. Just naming convention stuff. thanks @the_wizard_666 and @a3quit4s for grabbing my attention to this.
  10. Those are some early chip date codes for SMB/DH/WCTM. Possibly the earliest I know of really. The newest chip on the entire board has a code of 8831 would be week 31 of 1988, so somewhere between July 30 - August 9, 1988. Rule of thumb is add 3 weeks to the latest possible fabrication date and that's your estimated shelf date. If the latest possible fab date is August 9, 1988 then that puts a rough shelf date of August 30, 1988. Also, look at the shell code. B-3...Those are shells that were manufactured in 1985! Off the shelf leftover parts? Very interesting
  11. ROB is an abbreviation for "Robotic Operating Buddy". His purpose is to play the games along side you. ROB 2.0 needs to be an AI driven gamer who can ACTUALLY play the games with you. He should also speak and tell you to that there's a sniper ahead, or a secret cave around the corner, a side quest coming up....but of course he can make mistakes and send you to your doom too. ROB 2.0 needs to be a real, Robotic Operating Buddy.
  12. Same, but it's a blurry photo. Seems these might be a thing...one or two more pop up and I'll add it to the shortlist of oddities along side R.C. Pro-Am.
  13. It's a weird quirk, and might be a Atari/NES collector carryover thing. The oldheads think that a publisher variant, is a unique game.
  14. Yeah, I MADE the list and I no longer understand what this and my NES list means anymore. Its literally just a guide for “Current Availability versus Demand” it’s mostly useless data, but at the same time it might be worth pursuing it again in 90 days to see what changes. Originally I wanted to make a unbiased rarity guide, with market hype being the deciding factor for everything…but now? Well, I guess it’s a good starting point but not much else. Someone smarter than me needs to take the data and make it useful. There’s SOMETHING in there, I just don’t know entirely what.

  16. This year I plan on picking 20 or so different consoles and playing at least 5 different games on each. To consider it a "play" I must play for at least 30 minutes, or beat the game, which ever comes first. This years scoring method for me will be as follows: Play-A-Game - 1 Points per game played Play-A-Platform - 5 Point per platform played Beat-A-Game - 10 points per game beat This years platform list, I want to play from BASICALLY everything, and of course it will feature some Nintendo and modern PC games as well since those are my go-tos. Apple II Atari 2600 Atari 8-Bit PC Atari Jaguar / CD Atari Lynx Atari ST ColecoVision Commodore 64 Commodore Amiga Commodore CD32 Intellivision MSX Magnavox Odyssey 2 NEC TurboGrafx-16 / CD Panasonic 3DO SNK Neo Geo AES / CD Sega Dreamcast Sega Genesis / CD Sega Saturn Sharp X68000 Sinclair ZX Spectrum Sony PlayStation
  17. Even Sachen has a decent game or two. Pang is fun, and PoPo Team is....playable
  18. I think now that the hype train is dying a lot of "new long haulers" are going to start looking for a place to call home. I'm willing to bet a nice chunk of those people will end up here, or on facebook, reddit, and discord.
  19. You know, people always ask if 5 or 3 screw is better....but 4 screw really needs some love.
  20. 52 left! I can buy stuff for the next 5 days and THATS IT for the year.
  21. OKAY! So here's my records for the year. I only intend to play and beat one more game this year so I'm pretty confident this is it. I set out this year with the goal of playing more NON-NINTENDO systems and I totally failed that goal, hah. A good chunk of this list is memory, so I may be missing some things I played and even beaten this year. These are all the things I significantly remember playing this year though. Here is my own arbitrary goals and points I setup for myself. Play-A-Game 1 Game (1 Pts.) 5 Games (5 Pts.) 10 Games (10 Pts.) 25 Games (25 Pts.) 50 Games (50 Pts.) 100 Games (100 Pts.) 22. I mean the proper thing is to put MM above OOT because that’s the right thing to do
  23. Consider it an embellishment! Nothing can possibly be definitive when it comes to human opinion. But I’m sure if I polled all 8,000,000,000 people on the planet about what their top 50 N64 games are, the list wouldn’t look radically different
  24. Good point, lol. Yeah I have no idea what this data is anymore. Someone smarter than me needs to exploit it though.
