  1. @Brickman yeah it’s missing a couple goodies which is why I’m considering retitling this. I think it’s more of a “eff your collectors and gamers opinion…this is what the general public, and therefor the world thinks is what matters” list.
  2. I tried to eliminate as much as that as possible. If you look at the raw data you can see I removed repros, labels, custom cases, etc. from search results
  3. Mario Party 1 unfortunately might be a little bit higher. Because of the filters I have to exclude any mentions of Mario Party 2 and 3, or ALL mentions of 2 and 3. So if someone sells "Mario Party 1, 2, and 3" in a bundle then it gets cut out of the search results. Also, if someone searched for "Mario Party 1 and Zelda Ocarina of Time 2 game bundle" then it gets cut out too....
  4. Oooh, I didn't think of ROM site data. But, maybe ROM sites that publicly post that kind of stuff have a feedback loop? I dunno. I know this data is *SOMETHING* good, I'm just not entirely sure what it exactly reflects. Some deep diving needs to, and can be done with it for sure.
  5. That's pretty funny, and yeah there's a clear drop in popularity from #13 to #14 percentage wise. I'd expect the killer apps to have a huge dropoff, but not something so polarizing as 13 to 14. Crunching the numbers, it's a 22.52% drop between 13 and 14....that's HUGE considering there are no more major drops after that. 6. EDIT: CHANGED THE TOPIC NAME. This list is just officially the Top 50 games sold in the last 90 days.... I did it for N64 now too. I wanted to highlight where my flaws are in my NES data and well, let's just say there are some interesting results in the raw N64 data. Anyway, here is the unbiased most popular N64 games. I only included the top 50 for this list. 7. Nice I think it’s doable in a lifetime. Thats like 2 years of eBay supply
  8. Probably really close to accurate. According to Wikipedia, Dragon Warrior/Quest 1 sold 2,000,000 units collectively across all regions for the NES & Famicom and is the 29th best selling game. My hype guide says that 3 to 4 copies sell every single day on eBay. It is the 8th most abundant NES game currently available on eBay trailing behind... Super Mario Bros. 3 (2507 copies) Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt (2289 copies) Tetris (1469 copies) Super Mario Bros. (1272 copies) Super Mario Bros. 2 (1250 copies) Dr. Mario (1218 copies) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1128 copies) Dragon Warrior (985 copies) In contrast, it is the 18th most sold NES game on eBay in the past 90 days. Super Mario Bros. 3 (2096 copies) Super Mario Bros. 2 (1531 copies) Legend of Zelda (1179 copies) Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt (924 copies) Super Mario Bros. (753 copies) Tetris (721 copies) Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! (666 copies) Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (642 copies) Metroid (568 copies) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (526 copies) Contra (497 copies) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (485 copies) Final Fantasy (378 copies) Dr. Mario (367 copies) Excitebike (360 copies) Castlevania (359 copies) Mega Man 2 (348 copies) Dragon Warrior (334 copies) If AND ONLY IF The 2,000,000 figure is correct, then if he were to purchase 20,000 copies of Dragon Warrior (regardless of region) he'll own 1% of the supply ever made.
  9. Next Inktober, I'll suggest he give it to you then (if he does an Inktober 23, and IF he gives the drawings away that is) I of course will have to come up with some seriously tortuous request to make it extra special.
  10. It’s even more glorious in person @CasualCart thank you
  11. Technically speaking, a "reproduction" game would entail making a game as close to 1:1, but from scratch, using little to no borrowed source material. iD (creators of Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake, Unreal, and Fortnite) made a reproduction of Super Mario Bros. 3 for PCs as a demo to give to Nintendo to try to make a licensed port of the game....see here. Still, the point gets across and the verbiage has changed meaning. Just like how retro game means old game, rather than new game trying to look old.
  12. I've been mining eBay data again and I decided to tabulate all 677 licensed US NES games, and the "classical" 91 unlicensed games to see where everything sits in terms of general availability, and popularity. I have a very strict search policy with a lot of disqualifiers but I'll leave that a mystery until I'm asked later on in the comments. For those interested in the raw data, here it is: Joseph Leo's eBay Rarity & Hype Guide So without further delay, here are my findings. NOTE: Your top 100 may look completely different, but this is a mostly unbiased poll from the entirety of the United States purchase activity on eBay. Even if you compile your top 100 list it would only contribute 1 single point to each game, which would have effectively zero impact.
  13. I know it isn't universally loved here, but I still wanted to share this tool with you all. Joseph Leo's WATA & CGC Graded CIB Calculator v2.0 Using the above tool you can see the difference in CIB scores between grading companies. While somewhat rare, it's certainly not impossible to have a different final grade between the two large competitors. Initial Findings: If you have a mint game, poor manual, and average box then WATA might give you a better final grade over CGC. If you have a mint manual, poor game, and average box then CGC might give you a better final grade over WATA. The above two statements aren't a guarantee, and are just in some fringe cases. More combinations and testing required to confirm these suspicions. So there you have it. Enjoy. DISCLAIMER: I don't personally grade anything whatsoever besides my initial WATA submission way back in 2018 or 2019? I own very few graded items, and I tend to open all my graded items when I receive them. I just like making tools like this to help anyone who might be interested.
  14. I like it. Step in the right direction, as opposed to the current offerings by major players. We need more game collecting content to attract the next generation of collectors. Hobbies die when it becomes an old mans sport.
  15. Ultra, ultra rare....seen one in 10 years of collecting....might be on par with 5-Screw Stadium Events, 3-Screw Stinger, and 3-Screw DK Math.
  16. 8 off the list. 53 to go! Would be fun to finish up before the new year
  17. 25 AWAY FROM A LICENSED USA SET After 11 years, it's finally my turn to do one of these! I'm looking to buy the final NES CIBs to complete my licensed US NES set. Since I took a Top-Down approach, there aren't many very rare games on this list, and there are some surprisingly common games that I've just managed to completely neglect all these year. So, please, let me know if you have any of these for sale in decent, complete condition. WANTED: Bad News Baseball Bad Street Brawler Clash at Demonhead Defenders of Dynatron City DuckTales 2 Final Fantasy [SAVING FOR LAST] Frankenstein Ghoul School G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero G.I. There's about 150+ black box variant alone I still need after it's all said and done.

All cartridges in green or yellow are confirmed to exist. The 1 cartridge with a blurry photo is too blurry to make out the number, but its number is known because of past NintendoAge discussion. It may as well be considered "Confirmed with No Photo" since the blurry photo is the only one that I could find. PRIVACY NOTICE It is my solemn duty not to track owners, or sales data. 20. @dpratt84 & @Jaeron Thanks I'll update the database, my buddy @DefaultGen already DM'd me earlier with photos. I'm really happy to see that people are aware of this thread to keep things updated though. EDIT: UPDATED to add #0345
  21. See, this is where you’re 100% wrong…. Sports can only WISH they can be as popular as politics over here. And that’s saying a lot because sports are freaking POPULAR over here. But yeah I agree we did go a little too deep.
  22. Welcome to the internet. This is what we call a forum. given enough time, ANY topic leads to Hitler. also the US ain’t bad…we have pizza bagels, and television!
