I didn't read the whole thing, it's a bit long, but if you go to the second to last paragraph in the conclusion on page 29 I see a huge red flag. It says, "I also find evidence that treatment effects are largest for cities most exposed to poor economic conditions during the great recession. Such a result is consistent with the theory that fiscal distress causes cities to reduce their police force..." This is a huge leap and pretty dumb. This statement makes the assumption the the rate at which people commiting crimes is constant and the only limiting factor is the police. From the same finding, you could also say that cities that were hit hardest by the great recessions had the most people become poor and a percentage of those people turn to crime increasing the crime rate

Pelosi going to Taiwan seems like such a bad idea. When Russia invaded Ukraine, my opinion was that the U.S. pushed Russia to make a decision by ignoring the historical U.N. red line. This really seems like a similar anti-diplomatic charade. I don't think China will respond because they have too much to lose by taking the bait, but I guess we'll have to wait and see if they clap back in other ways. #Deathpanelsfordemocraticleadership

I bought a copy to play in the contest. It was harder than I expected to get back into it. Didn't end up putting enough time in to get anywhere.

That seems excessive. I don't understand the legal processes, but it seems hard to believe that would ever get paid.

Played the first one and turned it off after four or five hours. Seemed mindless and repetitive.

I've found out about great games that were unknown to me through pickup videos.

I keep forgetting to pick up a copy.

@SumezYou're right I do need to play it again. Part of the reason the first two stages felt harder was because how much you needed to use the fan. I got stuck there for a bit because I was trying to get through the stage the same way I played the original game. When I realized the roll was half nerfed and the fan was integral I did better. Stage 4/5, I might of beat on the first try - I forget, but if I didn't, it was close.

I played the first level and enjoyed it although there was a lot of trial or error. Looking forward to playing it again, but don't know it well enough to vote.

I guess I am the only person that was dissapointed. Am really surprised at the glowing reviews. As far as movement the characters are slower and the dive mechanic is more awkward. The difficulty is front heavy with the remakes of stages one and two being more difficult than later stages. Stage three is new and probably the best designed stage in the game. The ship stage is a shorter, easier version of the original stage four. The black manta stage uses some of the design of the original level 5 except again shorter, and easier. So essentially the movement is much worse than original, the game has balance issues, and it has awkwardly designed levels imo. I didn't like it, almost at all, but I am going to wait and play it again to make sure I was not just disappointed because it is so bad compared to the original. If I had to give the game one positive, I think the bosses are mostly more difficult and I still have to figure out how to beat them cleanly.

What qualifies as trash on the Mega Drive list? Am looking at the Saturn list, not sure what people are voting for. Snes makes sense, but for me a couple are over-rated and a couple don't hit my genres.

My daughter loves that show. Will probably pick this up, but worried I might raise her expectations to fast by skipping the older stuff.

The Mega Drive line up would beat PCE in every way. If you are talking about shoot-em-ups, platformers, or run and guns, Mega Drive is winning. Sorry Edit: Regarding a poll I think you would need to clarify if we are talking about top 10 expensive games as far as Price Charting or a range of games that are in say the top % range of a library.

Ooh interesting PS1, maybe Mega Drive Mega Drive has Alien Soldier, Eliminate Down, Gley Lancer, Pulse Man, Twinkle Tale, Vampire Killer, (haven't played Battle Mania 1/2)

Thank you. As far as the shooters go, at the moment, Raiden IV, Rolling Gunner, and Star Hunter dx/Moth Hunter are my favorites - they all have a friendly learning curve, but get challenging fast. Twin stick: Next Machina, and Enter the Gungeon are best, but Blazing Beaks/Butcher/Neorvoider are right behind. Battle Garegga and Ikaruga are probably two of the best on the console, but I'm personally weak at both. I have doubles of Rolling Gunner, Ikaruga, Star Hunter/Space Moth, and Guns, Gore, and Canolli 1&2, below ebay btw.

I'd add Crimes and Misdaemeanors,The Abyss, Pet Sematary, to tier 1 and then Bill and Ted, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Look Who's Talking, Field of Dreams, Back to the Future ll, and Ghostbusters ll to a second tier. I think War of the Roses might have been good too, but I forget.
