  1. If WATA is full of crossovers, that means that the VGA report would be less accurate than WATA if they ever release one.
  2. Exactly, PSA doesn’t own WATA, a big difference from what you said above. As someone that works in Business Development and has helped broker multi-million dollar acquisitions, I place the odds such a condition was included in the sale as slim to none, and slim just left town.
  3. PSA didn’t purchase them, and they have their own issues with demand. They also publish population reports.
  4. While their latest albums have never grabbed me like their first 3, I gave them a 10 as they were my favorite band from 1992-1999 and I have tons of great memories attached to listening to their music. They are one of the best live acts out there too.
  5. I hope someone like Jake Paul is the buyer, and he wears it around his neck on the way to the ring during his next fight.
  6. That’s what I initially thought, I grew up with the NES first and would consider the same games you mentioned above the “true grails”. I tried to think about it from someone else’s point of view, someone younger than myself who’s first system was the N64 and it made sense to me. There are a lot of younger people that have made a ton of money the last few years on collectibles, crypto, stock, real estate, etc…. to where a couple of million isn’t crazy for a purchase.
  7. Congrats man, I don’t understand the hate at all, towards you, the buyer, Wata, Heritage or anyone else involved in the transaction. I think it’s pretty damn cool to see the hobby that I love take off to crazy new price heights. I’m not into sealed collecting, so it really doesn’t affect what I’m looking for. I also think it’s crazy that you only started collecting sealed stuff 2 years ago, after being in the scene a decade plus just like me. Makes me wish I would’ve had the foresight to jump in, even after I said I was too late 8 years ago!
  8. I think the hat skit might be my favorite skit of his I’ve seen. I’ve watched it 4 times and roll every time. It’s like a mini Lynch film.
  9. Season 2 dropped today, I’m 3 episodes in and it is as funny as I expected. Any other fans of Tim Robinson here?
  10. Just listened to the songs I didn’t know. I’d rather watch the video tape from Ringu than listen to Babymetal again. Ghost Love Score reminds me of the Trans-siberian Orchestra and that’s not a compliment.
  11. Only knew Chop Suey from the first match up and Metallica from the last matchup. Picked Drake just from the meme as I dislike both songs and Britney rules over Soundgarden. #freebritney
  12. A few of mine. The African Queen- highly rated, but was a slog for me, and it felt like the only reason it was rated so high was due to that presence of the top actor and actress of the first half of the century of film starring in their only film together: Bogart and Hepburn. Jurassic Park- I’m admittedly not a big fan of big action films that focus on the CGI versus the story, but usually love all of Spielberg’s films. Not sure if I just caught it when I wasn’t in the mood to watch it, but it made me never watch another in the series. Love Actually- a movie that should be right in my wheelhouse as I love romantic comedies and Christmas movies, but none of the couples had any chemistry, and most of the people were awful.
  13. I’ve traveled Europe extensively the last 14 years and found many more places that are cash only, vs. the US. Other places I’ve been to like Japan and Dubai on the other hand were nearly cashless.
  14. I know it’s the hipster thing to say Parks and Rec, but The Office is perfect. Michael Scott alone beats the rest of the cast from Parks and Rec. Add in some of the best background characters in history like Creed (highest laugh to scene ratio in history of TV), Jan, Toby, and Ryan and it’s one of the best TV comedies of all time.
  15. Damn, I had some really nice chats with them at Nintendoage, and was very close purchasing their almost complete SNES set, which eventually went to someone else at the site. Fuck cyberbullying.
  16. Been busy, but finally started it last night. Hope to finish up by Thursday.
  17. It’s impossible for Minnesotans to say BOAT without an sounding like we’re from Moose Jaw, myself included.
  18. As a lifetime Minnesotan, it’s definitely been said around me my entire 40 years. It’s more likely that you didn’t notice someone using it, as it’s not said in normal conversation, rather used as a replacement or addition to “excuse me” when walking around someone in a crowded situation.
  19. That’s a great one. The series hits a lull (still good) around Ghost Stories, but then bounces back nicely after.
  20. Please combine with your other WTB thread. Thanks
  21. It’s one of LB’s worst songs, and that is probably one of Nickelback’s “best” songs. Pick a turd.
