  1. I really wish everyone would get vaccinated so that one variable would be taken out of the equation. I’ve tried showing my friends the data of who is getting sick, and dying (overwhelmingly unvaccinated people), and they just don’t care at this point.
  2. They were told, if you wear masks and agree to these restrictions, things will be back to normal soon. They did, and life isn’t back to normal and now there are talks of new restrictions and forced vaccinations by employers. I understand that it’s not the governments fault, but they are tired of the messaging. At first it was “flatten the curve to not overwhelm hospitals”, now it seems to them more like eliminate all infections at all costs to society. They are willing to make a trade of normalcy for a very small chance at a serious complication/death from the virus.
  3. Their hesitancy in trusting anything that is told to them at this point from the government.
  4. I’m a scientist by education, and work in the health care industry so I understand all the facts and try to make it as simple as I can when I talk to them. I also understand their hesitancy after all they’ve been asked to do.
  5. I don’t disagree with you. I’m from an area that is highly unvaccinated. They all wore masks, and went into full shut down last year for a few months. Friends lost businesses, children lost a year of school, others went into depression and 1 even committed suicide. I’ve tried to get a lot of my friends to get the vaccine, but at this point they don’t trust any government, as the goal posts keep moving to them. It’s definitely not cut and dry.
  6. It doesn’t change the issues that happen during those events/restrictions.
  7. Not inherently difficult? I absolutely disagree and believe that people that believe that are a huge part of the reason why it’s so political at this point. There is a huge social cost to shutdowns/regulations that affect kids, businesses, mental health and many other things, the impact of some which we won’t likely know for a generation. It’s the most difficult situation people as a whole have seen in at least 4 generations, nothing about it or the decisions made is easy.
  8. Read the first story, of the priest last night. Very engaging, pumped to read the rest. Interesting that it seems that they are following a style like The Canterbury Tales in progressing the story through individual stories.
  9. Finally found my first person worthy of a ban!
  10. Why not? I invest in many companies as a share holder and use their services, or purchase their goods.
  11. Lots of people in this hobby have a crazy idea that they deserve to buy anything they want for pennies, or at least what it cost 20 years ago. It’s entitlement at its core. When I was growing up we couldn’t afford games, even though I wanted what my friends had, I never felt like I deserved them just cause. I grow up, get disposable income and can suddenly afford some of the things that I couldn’t before. Still want other things that are above what I feel comfortable with, so I don’t buy them and don’t feel like I deserve them at anything other than what they are going for.
  12. I don’t collect sealed or graded games and couldn’t care less about what those people do.
  13. Yes we can. Keep that stuff out of your posts please @Crystalis88.
  14. Tough to say as my best buy’s have been large, bulk purchases. Not sure if some of these count as I pieced some of them together, selling the extra piece essentially making them free. Little Samson CIB for $0 after selling spare cart I got with box after already having the cart and manual. Crusader of Centy with hint guide for profit after selling spare cart I got with manual after already buying CB with Guide for $30. Lufia 2 Guide for $10 Aerofighter’s Cart for $6.99, but free after buy 2 get 1 free deal. Super Nintendo Superbrite Sign for $100 on eBay, as it only had local pickup and it was close to me. Nintendo Power issue 1-100 locally for $50 in great shape.
  15. 9-Should’ve won the best picture Oscar that year.
  16. Righty all the way. I broke my right thumb back in the day and threw a lot with my left hand for a few weeks. Got good enough to throw a spiral about 40 yards with a football, and definitely helped me when playing basketball after that.
  17. Mine was a 1976 Pontiac Grand Lemans, just like the picture below. I drove it from 16-17 years old and then sold it for $1000 because I was a stupid kid. Would cost me a hell of a lot more money to get it back in the same condition.
  18. Isn’t their scale based on the comic scale? Would a 9.9 mean that it only has a very minor manufacturing issue, versus a handling issue?
