  1. Also, where's the SEI/Epyx Impossible Mission II!?!
  2. Man I wish I saw this waaaay earlier. Rarely log in to this forum...still missing Bubble Bath Babes, Cheetahmen 2, and Myriad for my unlicensed.
  3. Convention that happens every year just outside of Chicago. I'll be there tabling amongst a ton of other regular locals in the area. Come through, I definitely have some dank NES for sale if that's your thing. videogamesummit.net
  4. NES to Gameboy to Sega Genesis to 32x (yeah really, at launch!) to ps1, back to NES because I wasn't feeling the shift to 3D gaming.
  5. Been lazily chasing all the manuals for my cart set over the years but I finally made a list so hit me up if you have any of these, thanks. 6. Prices got too ridonkulous for NES and games from the 16/32-bit era so I just started buying physcial Switch games that are reissues of old games (Wild Guns, Cotton reboot, Capcom Beat 'Em Up collection, Aleste Collection etc) to save me the headache of paying out the ass for some of the originals. I'm enjoying collecting those and not breaking the bank.
  7. I've ironed out some smooshed NES boxes before with great success, I imagine it's just the same but since it's thin paper I'm a little more weary and am just double checking here in case someone has any extra tips before I take a crack at it.
  8. Yeah Silpheed will be the first test subject for sure haha. Thanks for the advice.
  9. I have three games in my Sega CD collection with wavy back art. Huge pet peeve of mine and normally I don't ever buy games that look like this but since I got these all in a trade I'm thinking of putting in the work and ironing them out flat again. The two common ones are Silpheed and Sonic CD, so I could just acquire nicer copies and move on really, but Robo Aleste is the bigger dog and with today's prices I can't just go grab another...anyone have success ironing that back art paper out? I see a few different tactics on youtube for general art/paper restoration but just seeing if any video game nerds in here have a tried and true method....thanks.
  10. Thanks guys. Someone else chimed in on IG saying that too. I played both copies today and there seemed to be no differences at all. The scream when you fall in a pit always brings the lols.
  11. I have a question about the different releases of Impossible Mission 2, for anyone on here that came over from NA or actually still cares about stuff like this...I finally gripped the black and white label version of the cart that SEI published, so now I have both that version and also the color label version that was published by SEI and Epyx collaboratively (I also own the AVE release as well, but this question doesn't pertain to that one at all). Two questions here, actually: 1. Are the boxes & manuals different for the black/white SEI cart vs. the color label SEI/Epyx cart? 2. Is the ROM different at all between those two carts or is this a situation similar to the Caltron/Myriad 6-in-1 debate where they just slapped a new label on a preexisting cartridge? For a picture and some context I'm linking my instagram post on this. Thanks, hope someone has some info for me. www.instagram.com/p/CL7U72RHqwt/?igshid=1opwdkr4162jk
  12. Trying to round out the childhood library with all cibs. Message if you have any of these three box only in good shape. Thanks.
  13. The thing with this Dino Peak sale, is that the kid was so clueless he entered his paypal email address wrong in the listing or something, so my payment just went into some pending purgatory of an email address that didn't exist (thankfully), and he mailed me the game anyway because I said I paid and showed him a screen cap, a week or so pass and I receive the cartridge to my surprise (since the whole thing reeked of fishiness), but it was legit and then I started getting messages from him like "Ok so how do I get the money now?". I was very confused by everything, but it ended up I had to cancel the original payment altogether and then send a new one to the correct email address once he fixed the typo in his paypal address. If I were some sort of gigantic asshole I could have hypothetically just ghosted him on correcting the payment since I already had the game in hand. The entire experience was weird and I think in the end I told him for future experiences just wait until he has the money before mailing something.
  14. I gambled on a zero feedback listing of a flintstones dino peak and won it with a low-ball offer of $319...it turned out to be some kid who was using eBay for the first time and I had to walk him through the rest of the process. I had him send me another pic of the cart next to a spoon after I won, to which he did. It was legit and it still is the cart I have in my collection. He also sent it in an oversized bubble mailer and it was definitely flopping around in there loosely the whole way to Chicago. 2018 or 19 can't remember.
  15. One of each game, always (unless you are a variant guy or something). I sell my doubles like hot potatoes and forge onward.
  16. Just chiming in to say I recently obtained the Sunsoft Burgertime Deluxe and was kind of confused when a Data East logo popped up upon powering it up, obviously it was a later revision because the code said -1 but it was interesting to me that another publisher would release the same game...that didn't happen in the NES days aside from idk, Impossible Mission II and Caltron? Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom...but that was unlicensed vs. licensed. I'm talking official licensed games being rereleased by another publisher, didn't ever happen so I was thrown off when I noticed the Sunsoft Burgertime since that property has always been Data East.

    SOLD

Has anyone heard from OP yet? I sent a message two months ago and still haven't heard back.
  18. I don't remember this game being that hard. I beat it my first time playing it without even realizing you could morph into an animal. It was fun, but yeah not very memorable overall.
  19. I piece cibs together all the livelong day. It's gratifying, and I do it for myself. I make sure the seals match and constantly reference the nes game contents faq to make sure they are all as proper as can be with the matching codes and such. Everyone I talk to and who collects pretty heavily has zero issue with piecing together. I've never even heard of anyone having qualm with this until reading this thread; kind of shocked actually that anyone would care that much.
  20. I may or may not have a Wurm box/manual, not in the greatest shape. I've always had it on my shelf but I'm not terribly attached to it. Hit me up with an offer. I'd be into trading it for a different box as well if you have extras.
  21. I am definitely guilty of 1 and 2, as I've always been aware of them but wrote them off as actually unattainable. Number 3, I've always stood by as a separate release just a Stadium Events is considered to be. Now please kindly scrub the text from 1 and 2 in these posts so I can continue to pretend they don't exist...
  22. Just chiming in here, as a "full North American set" guy...I have discrepancy with the list that I voiced on NA back when that was a thing and here it is (hear me out): The three Tengen carts, RBI/Gauntlet/Pac-man, are counted as 6 games on the list because there are 3 unlicensed black carts and then 3 officially licensed grey carts, despite being identical titles...everyone knows this to be true and it's fine, but there is a contradictory logic in terms of having all the Aladdin Deck Enhancer games that ALSO have gold standalone NES cart variants all be counted as if they are only 6 games instead of 12 (6 Aladdin and 6 Camerica NES carts)...they are entirely different carts and different releases so I think they should be notated as such...and if one is going to argue "well those Aladdin ones don't matter or count" then I will rebut with the fact that y'all count Dizzy the Adventurer, the Aladdin Deck Enhancer pack-in game, as it's own entity and part of the list...so the other 6 should be included as well, right? RIGHT?!
