  1. It never fails. Posting scores on contests here is like bidding on ebay.
  2. Yeah, but at Skyline you can get yours with spaghetti in it.
  3. Don't forget the cheese on top, and eat it with a spoon too. It's really more like a 3 layer dip. And if you think that's weird, wait until you try the chilito. I swear, skyline's menu is just a bunch of cursed food ideas. Good greek salads though.
  4. Maybe there will be some horse sim games too. You can learn about derby, right? Oh, and i just remembered, Famicom got a couple quiz games, didn't it? I remember America Oudan Ultra Quiz on GB, and figure if GB could fit them then so could Famicom. Good idea, I didn't know there were training games for riichi/shougi, so that would definitely qualify. And, I dunno, I used to think DK Jr Math was pretty fun. Maybe I'm just a turbonerd though.
  5. Any game that has a lot of historical content will do well. Koei gang RISE UP!!!
  6. I use the golden fox, it has a long boost meter and good handling. I haven't used the goose much.
  7. oh, you definitely need to attack. KOing another racer is one of the biggest boosts you can get in races. Definitely start trying it out as soon as possible. Spinning is good, but bumping people into walls is also really powerful.
  8. I took first once and it was by luck. Honestly, I think most of the game is luck, specifically on when you get a special boost, or if you can manage to destroy another racer at an opportune time. Certain skills help (like being well versed on all the tracks, and being able to "read" opponents enough to block them whenever they try to pass you, but beyond having the gameplay down, I think you just keep racing until you get lucky. I can get top 10 or at least top 25 pretty consistently, but taking first is still a rarity.
  9. I haven't had time to get a better score. I'm gonna try again on the weekend. Failing that I'll simply post my weak score.
  10. Skyline is part of why NE Ohioans refer to Cincinnati as "Northern Kentucky". Better to increase the distance in any way you can. Anyway, I'm in for this year. Some way or another, I'll figure out some stuff that I want.
  11. WURM, I think it's called, on NES, has many modes. Does a modern game count if it has vehicles and shooting? Is GTA a multi-genre game? Also, does just a minigame or one-off level count, or does it have to be a significant portion? Another one (of sorts) is Henry Hatsworth.
  12. Always made me laugh that the game is basically Night Trap.
  13. Holding post for posting scores. I have to get a little better before I post one. edit: I'm giving up. I can't do much better than this no matter how much I practice. I can get to the random levels without dying, but I can't get any further. I did have one score higher than this, but I turned the game off before I took the picture by mistake. The difference was marginal, however, so I won't cry over it. This just wasn't my game, I think. 22300
  14. Learning a second language was my secret. Of course, picking Japanese, while beneficial to my gaming hobby, has been far from an easy choice...
  15. I get confused by some of the US names, but I definitely never knew until these posts that Ninja Kid was a GeGeGe no Kintarou game. I'm also confused; Did TMNT use kanji in the JP release name? Would have expected it to just use the katakana, unless the series was basically unknown in Japan and they had to explain everything (which would explain how the GCCX episode for the arcade game port went) The kanji question was fun; You saw a wide variety of responses, which shows how it isn't something that easily is dominated by one game. It's funny; Maybe it's the fault of the English title, but my first obake thought was makaimura. Next would probably be castlevania, or maybe even Mario 3 and its fearsome teresa.
  16. The creator of the game is here? I feel pressure...
  17. It seems to run okay. I will play on that while I look for a new d-pad silicone.
  18. @JamesRobot Any issue with me trying to emulate this on a wii instead? I haven't tried running it yet, but I assume it would run.
  19. Yeah, MS has no problem throwing billions down the drain on a possible market corner. That's their cost of doing business, enabled by the ridiculous bank that windows and office pulls from being worldwide mass-market OS. You can furnish a house just with stuff MS has tried and failed to win. Also I just popped in out of curiosity; I've never even heard of this game before.
  20. I forgot this was coming out. I might play it when I visit family over holiday, but I'm not buying myself. Haven't really enjoyed a mario game since galaxy, and even that was only good for one playthrough.
  21. Through the power of this game I have discovered that my player 2 d-pad barely functions. Anybody know a source for replacement famicom d-pad silicone pads? Also, this game feels more difficult than actual robotron. Maybe that's just the busted d-pad talking though.
  22. I don't know if I have the constitution to play a silent hill game. Never have been good with anything involving psychological horror; I have a terribly vivid imagination and a great ability to avoid sleeping when sufficiently prodded. The first one at least has been on my list. I don't know if I should post this or not, but this is the main thing I know about Silent Hill 2. It might contain spoilers. No vote in the poll, because I don't have an opinion on the next game and don't want to affect the results. I'm surprised something like Eternal Darkness isn't on the list however.
  23. I feel you on that. Frankly once they stop selling it, I stop seeing why the rules matter. 3DS would be a horribly neutered system if you didn't have access to CIAs and hShop going forward.
