  1. I think I saw you on racketboy right? I'm glad you were able to find it, wish I could find the few i'm missing
  2. Thanks all so far, I added some new stuff to the list due to some suggestions so as usual, I got it down then put it right back up
  3. As usual, I'm looking for pretty good condition black label, authentic releases of this stuff. I'm not really confident I'll get all this stuff in a short time, but this is basically my final stretch for vintage consoles before I hang my coat up, so I figure as it chips away I'll be able to continually recoup expenses. There are some Cart only or manuals needed but largely, this is a CIB list. If you think you can help me I'll hook you up with cash, thanks! Edit: I will also put a red text on anything that isn't a CIB requirement, thanks! 4. I gotta ask, where did you find someone who had something like that to sell? Very cool though!
  5. I try not to share some of the stuff I hunt just because people who don't care, suddenly care and I don't need that kind of drama lol. It's still just normal stuff though.
  6. I imagine most of us have run into this over our collecting careers, we all have our venues to hunt stuff down ranging from garage sales, forums, social media groups and of course eBay. In my experience though, eBay tends to have the supply almost no matter what, it might be overpriced, but you can at least see existing inventory or get some read on if it's actually rare or simply valuable. As I get further towards completing my personal sets, I'm finding more and more that there are some games that simply have little traces of existing. They may not be worth much, or worth a fortune, it's hard to get the read because the supply simply isn't there to gauge the demand. This leads me to wonder, are there other avenues that exist that are maybe less commonly known? I read someone talking about dealings with private collectors but.. How does that even come to pass? Conventions? Super secret super villain round tables? As I approach the final years of my collecting hobby in terms of older titles, I've come to accept some games are simply out of my price range and will likely not be obtained, but for these less known titles it makes me wonder if I should be expanding my searching criteria to obtain the more elusive titles, or throw in the towel entirely? For people who go for full sets, I imagine they hit this barrier quite a bit, just curious about the musings or insights others may have.
  7. So I decided to add up what all i'm missing which is nearly 600 games, so I guess my goal for the year would be.. Cut that in half
  8. Decided to broaden the search and include... Everything! I appreciate anyone who can help me finish up, the closer I am to finishing a set the more aggressive I get with pricing
  9. I feel that would be easier than completing some of my remaining sets I don't even do full sets , don't know how yall do it.
  10. My goals are basically impossible so I guess I don't think about it anymore
  11. Added a Bomberman figure, MVSX cab and also picked up some hard to find stuff.
  12. I figured I'd put out my broader feelers just to see what's out there. Just as always I'm (mostly) looking for the complete sets for these (so box/manual/carts) in nice shape, US releases and black label only. There are a few cart only ones I need which are labeled. I'm not really in the market for the 1000+ dollar games right now but I listed basically everything just in case since I can pull funds if the circumstance is right. I will always pay fair value for stuff I'm hunting and I'm usually looking for condition ranging from 7/10 to 10/10 depending (I go a bit lower for the pre Atari stuff or game gear). Also note, if the games had boxes or slips such as 3DO or Cdi, I am hunting those to be in the set too. If you think you can help me finish any of my collections please hit me up! 13. While none of them are my favorites, my picks go to NES, DS and Wii. The NES essentially bridged the gap from the old way into a new era that became the standard for the industry and basically crafted the hobby as we know it. For DS, the DS created many of the styles and gimmicks that have since become commonplace in phone games, and the Wii effectively created Gyro controls, pointer controls, etc, something games are still implementing today. Many deserve props for their contributions but thinking about who created the root of something, it's more often than not Nintendo. Listing their contributions to the medium would be exhausting.
  14. Does anyone know if a list of the 2020 releases in the US exist? I did pretty good keeping up through 2019 but kind of had life diversions so I feel a bit lost
  15. I feel like i'm the only person who likes this site and Gamevaluenow. I mean if it ever truly goes south i'll move on but it's nice enough even with the quirks. Yeah I don't like what GC did to NA either but here we are.
  16. Got these and moved some stuff around to fit them. Hard to convey the 3d effect but they are cool.
  17. I found this very difficult to find for a reasonable price, very happy to finally have it. Kind of a Rayman like game but with Donald Duck
  18. Somehow I didn't have Ecco 2 on the Game Gear even though I had it logged, couldn't find it and I keep my stuff organized..
  19. This is really when the gap of interest vs rarity comes in. A lot of people think any and all old games will become pricey someday, but in reality, some of the rarest titles are ones no one cares about, or knows about. GG has always been kind of a reject here but it has caught on some over years. I still remember buying Mega Man for it for like 150 bucks because I REALLY wanted it since I owned the rest of the whole series, heh.
  20. I'm actually not sure what the hardest ones to find actually are, since I don't really value hunt. I do have stuff like Urban Strike and Mega Man so I know a couple of them, but again I found those are easier to find, just price prohibitive. I remember actually struggling to find decent shape copies of the original releases of titles that got the Majesco reprints as well, everyone just sells the Majesco reprint as if it's something that matters but the actual original releases are much harder to find with their boxes (though, not extremely hard thankfully)
  21. Supremely jealous, actually I don't think i've ever even seen the box for Speedy lol. Least I know it's real for sure In my case, my set for Game Gear ends at 140 games so, not a full set, but the set i'd find interesting. Krusty made it due to my attempt to get the Simpsons badge on Nintendoage but yeah, I guess I got committed. I'm glad to see someone else buys for the system though, I feel it's overly ignored in the collecting world.
