  1. That could be a legitimate question, but most replacement labels I've seen don't look nearly as good as the real thing. Honestly, though, the thing that surprised me was that a lot of collectors are willing to repaste peeling labels back down again (think the top of NES/SNES/GEN). Then again, I'll put a disc game into a fresh jewel case if the old one is cracked and broken. LOL, to each their own, I guess.
  2. Again, this really shows you don't know what you're talking about here. There is no "doling out" happening. The game is so huge it comes with a second blu-ray containing game assets that have to be installed on the PS4 to allow the game to run. Even XV doesn't have that, and it's a massive game, too. I'm not trying to be a dick or a fanboy. I think SE is milking shit with this Intergrade re-release all of a year later, and they deserve flak for it. It's totally bogus, and even with the "free" upgrade to PS5 for people that bought the launch release, the restrictions on it piss me off, and even people that actually buy a physical copy don't get the digital premiums or the new dlc on disc. Talk about treating your early-adopting fans poorly. That said, all of that crap is probably management level decisions, and the actual developers deserve a lot of credit for what the game is. It's a complete game, whether you like it or not, and it isn't just semantics. They are telling a new story here using the trappings of the original game. That's why it isn't a retcon, either. The story has a very clear narrative arc that is fully resolved, while still touching on the broader conflict developing with Sephiroth/JENOVA. The game even takes the time to explain what's changing and why. I know internet arguments never change people's minds, but if you liked VII and the Compilation material, you're doing yourself a disservice by skipping this game. It really is worth your time, the shitty management and marketing notwithstanding.
  3. I It's not an incomplete game at all. This fundamentally misunderstands what's going on with the story. It's very spoilery, so I won't explain it here, but the last part of Remake pt. 1 is a real mind trip. My only gripes with Intergrade are that there is no physical Deluxe version, and that the Yuffie DLC isn't on disc. It's especially annoying in light of the Sony CMOS crap.
  4. I had a mix of federal and private. I was able to consolidate them all into one.
  5. For me, as long as I beat it the way I would have when the game was new, it counts. Strategy guides are cool (although I try my best first), but I do avoid cheat codes except to practice or just dick around. Like, I'll do the Contra code for fun or to practice, but I wouldn't consider beating a title with it as "legit". Similarly, rampaging around in GTA3 with cheat codes helping out is pretty fun. That said, I think it all depends on your time. My partner is playing Wizards and Warriors, and we are dying for save states because it just take more time than we have available to sit down together and play. I'm probably going to grab an Everdrive in the next couple of weeks just to facilitate that. Play the way that makes you happy. Don't listen to naysayers if they criticize your preferences.
  6. I used to call it PSX, took a break for PS1, and now use PSX again. It got a little confusing for a while when I found out there was an actual Playstation 1 called the PSX in Japan, but nobody really knows about that thing. I'll probably change my mind again tomorrow.
  7. My partner and I refinanced both of our college loans in early 2020. We used SoFi/MOHELA to do it, and aside from consolidating various lenders into a single payment for each of us, we also got very good interest rates. We both took 5-year terms, but there were other options.
  8. I bought a standard set and an LE set. They look fun!
  9. Edited with a bunch more stuff. I will keep updating it regularly, so please check back to see if you have an item on my list. Thank you!
  10. What does a green Huge Insect go for nowadays? I haven't paid attention since I first heard of it 10+ years ago on NA.
  11. If you decide to sell the Section Z map, let me know. I've been looking for one.
  12. Great piece! Best of luck with the sale!

  14. This one looks kind of interesting, although I would like some more details on the plot of the title. It also has a very long campaign length (60 days). It's being run solo by a first-time developer, so that's definitely something to consider before choosing to back it. I do like that it's being offered on a physical cart, which is where I'm tossing my hat into the ring (about $50 USD after shipping from France). Hopefully, it gets some traction, as his goal for funding is pretty reasonable. Standard disclaimer: It's not my project. Do your research. Back at your own risk.
  15. This isn't my project, but it looks pretty cool. I guess this programmer made a bunch of Flash game back in the day, and they're putting one of them out for release on Game Boy. I love little projects like these, so I wanted to share it here. Hopefully, it does well and hits the backing target. There are a handful of limited edition copies as one of the tiers, for those interested in that kind of thing (like me!). Cheers! http://kck.st/3pHwEWT As always with Kickstarters, remember there is a risk involved with getting the end product. I've been lucky to only have a single unfulfilled KS in the past, but I recommend doing your due diligence and all that. This one appears to be legitimate, but buyer beware.
  16. I just wanted to post that I finished a great transaction with Boosted. Great at communicating, and shipped everything quick and well packed. Thanks a bunch!
  17. I have a pile of MtG cards I should probably get rid of. Mostly stuff from a couple years ago (War of the Spark), but I have a few really nice cards. I have one card that's pretty rare, an LP Mishra's Workshop from Antiquities. If anyone wants to buy it off me, I'll throw in the rest of the MtG stuff for free, lol.
  18. I put it on my saved list. I'll have to see how my monies look next month. It's an interesting idea, to be sure.
  19. I gave the post a "love" tag, which is my way of saying, "Upvote"!
  20. I would agree with the uncertainty here to some extent, and that it could go in either direction on a larger scale. In the case of some releases, though, they have completely sold out. I think the irem re-releases of Metal Storm and Holy Diver both sold through completely. Demand was clearly higher than supply in that instance. The near unavailability of NES and SNES Classics throughout their lifecycles also would suggest demand outstripped supply. There aren't a lot of cases to use as examples, though. I think most pirating is done digitally these days, even when it comes to old systems like we all collect. You don't hardly see repros like this NWC being made or sold because it's so much easier to just pop up an emulator, or if you want a more real experience, an Everdrive. I guess that makes it mostly a moot point in reality, even if it's interesting to discuss the hypotheticals.
