  1. Backing both of those. They look fun, although I will be rubbish at the Copper Jacket one.
  2. Are they still making boxes? Just checked the site and looked mostly sold out.
  3. Sad... Thank god for the internet archive. I hope they have a pretty thorough copy of the site.
  4. I don't know, but maybe around $10 if you're in the USA? It's not terrible, and the game is still worth playing. Just up to you if it's better to have a patched physical copy or the already English digital. Both are screwed for redownload when the Switch servers turn off in 5-7 years.
  5. Thanks for posting about Elland. I somehow missed that one. Glad it is still going!
  6. This is the Asia version, and it's the same note for both Switch and PS4
  7. Just FYI, Fatal Frame requires a patch for the English.
  8. I bought Bubble Bobble for PS4 CE from Strictly, and it took something like 9 months to ship to me. WitchSpring3 is currently at 8+ months.
  9. I got my LE copy of From Below homebrew for the NES today!
  10. I don't understand how you go from demanding $35k minimum cash to accepting around $1000 cash in just a day or so.
  11. I haven't come across the Shadowfox cases before. Do they have molded compartments for different systems' carts?
  12. Anyone know if there's a way to hook a usb up to the Switch in undocked mode like this? It would be nice to use my arcade stick with the tiny cab!
  13. Humbug, somebody else nabbed the Mole Mania at the pawn shop.
  14. The also teamed up with thecoverproject.net to get printable artwork available for a whole mess of games and systems since the dimensions are different than a UGC. It's worth pointing out, these are much more akin to the old Disney VHS clamshells than they are to a hard plastic. I am fine with that because they're molded to already fit the carts and have nice room for paperwork, but they probably won't take a dropkick like a UGC would have. I find the benefits outweigh that, but I also want folks to know that prior. I didn't realize it until I got them, and had to readjust my expectations. Even so, I am still buying more and using them. Just got one finished for my Sweet Home fc cart.
  15. As LeatherRebel5150 mentions, they are the clamshell boxes available from stoneagegamer.com. They are much better than the universal game cases ever were.
  16. I was just looking at some repro boxes on a popular social media site with a market, and some of them looked really good and were available in grey cardboard. I was considering them for some of the translation-patched games that interest me. I don't really have any interest in repro boxes for already-released games. If I'm missing a game box, I like BitBoxes to store my carts and have on the shelf.
  17. There's a beat up cart at my local pawn for like $35. Maybe worth it?
  18. I'm interested in your CIB Battle Arena Toshinden. Would you please PM me a picture of it, front and back?
  19. I just bought a Saturn from a local shop this last week. I've never had one before. They didn't have any games worth picking up, so I'm thinking I will probably grab the sampler pack off eBay or something.
  20. What you're referring to is called "pressing", and there's a very split opinion in comic collecting regarding whether or not it should be considered a form of restoration. There are services that do comic pressing with heat and really chonky machines that can turn a "very fine" book into a "near mint" book, potentially raising its value by a significant factor. Honestly, a more apt comparison might be replacing staples. Staples get rusty, and that can leech into a book and damage it further, so some folks remove the staples. I have seen people that then keep those original staples in a baggy with that particular book, but some folks just replace them outright. I have even heard of people going so far as to acquire period accurate staples for replacement. It gets a little crazy, but there are people who only want completely original collectibles, even if that means the collectible is in less than ideal condition. It's not for me, but I say, to each their own.
  21. You are all missing the point. It's because fixing damage in other hobbies is considered restoration, and that devalues the collectible. I was into collecting comics before I got into collecting games, and any sort of touch-up is a huge no-no there. I didn't say people shouldn't glue their labels back down. Sheesh.
