  1. Yeah, agree with KokiriChild. I think it's good collecting sense to not pay much for a beat up box, even on a somewhat rare or popular game. I've actually been to one local game store that discounts their CIB's based on condition. It's pretty rare, but I think good business. As far as upgrading, though, might I suggest that, unless space is a serious concern, you keep the beat up boxes along with any upgrades? Then your collection tells a story of how it has grown over time. If anyone asks why you have 3 copies of, say, Super Mario Bros. in the box, you can relate how and why you got them.
  2. Super Mario Odyssey on Nintendo Switch. I started it last week, and am a bit over 200 moons. I'm currently on the stage with the beach and sparkling-water fountains. I am also playing a bit of Final Fantasy XI on PC. I putz about on it a few times a week, although that number goes up drastically on occasion. I'm not very high level yet. The next game I want to play is Chunkout 2 on my NES.
  3. Hello! Glad to see Joel continues to be remembered. Way to bring the torch to the new place :).
  4. If it was me, I would probably stick those boxes into a box protector, just to give them some shape and uniformity (not to protect them). I've found those shiny protectors really do polish up the worst offenders. Use, damage, and wear are character to a physical object. I rather like it, and am trying to embrace that for my own collection.
  5. Cool looking. No idea on its origins. Googling Yedigun netted me results in another language, with possible reference to a soda called Mirinda in Spain. The promotional GBC's can definitely command a premium over a normal one, but I couldn't say by how much on this particular model. The Tommy Hilfiger yellow one, a similar promotional GBC, goes for between $70-130 loose, at a glance. This one might be more rare, but whether that translates to more value? Dunno.
  6. Wow! Congratulations on the pickups! So many fantastic games in there. Will you be playing any, or are they for the collection?
  7. Well, first day of the forum, and here's a little something that came in the mail for me today. The (new) start to my Homebrew collection! Chunkout 2 cart Super NESnake2 cart, manual
  8. Yay, new forum! I look forward to chatting with you all!
