  1. I don't own the system myself, but I respect what they're going for with it. It seems like a very good entry point to retro gaming for a younger and/or more casual audience, as well as a nice little addition to the collection for more dedicated retro gamers/collectors. I also appreciate the fact they just get on with things, they make their systems and put out the games and stuff, and it's just what it is, you know. They aren't trying to hype anything or try to big the system up as the second coming or nothing. It just is what it is and does what it does, and I respect that.
  2. I was thinking about these 360 test discs I found a while back:
  3. Don't just rely on "game modes" folks. Go into every video setting on your HDTV and turn that shit off. I mean it. Every video enhancement setting, every image processing setting, ANY and EVERY thing the TV will try to do to get in between your system and the the screen, you turn that shit OFF. Never seen any lag on my TV's after turning all the settings off, via HDMI or analogue connectors, if you do then it may be your TV is just wrong and not game friendly.
  4. @Gloves @spacepup does the prototype badge apply for test-discs or is that something else?
  5. As long as they replace the Joycons with something that actually survives more than 5 plays, and feels decent to actually use, then I'll be happy! Also, Metroid Prime 4 definitely gonna get bumped to Switch 2, might not even make it in time for launch at this rate!
  6. GLOVES: Done. Can I get the following badges, please: 1. N64 fullset (I have the PAL fullset cart only and the Japanese fullset) Proof: https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/7545-pal-n64-fullset-achieved-collection-journey-celebration/ 2. N64 50 games (I have all 50 US exclusive N64 games, plus more) Proof: https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/1750-n64-collecting-milestone-full-us-exclusive-subset/ 3. Play N64 games (I've played more than 25 of these!) Proof: https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/447-beat-every-n64-game-2019-95303/ 4. OG Xbox 50 games (I have way more than that, even, but I'm not going for a fullset) Proof: https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/9709-weekend-spent-in-the-gameroom-not-playing-games-mini-update-new-xbox-shelves/ 5. Play OG Xbox games (I've definitely played more than 25) Proof: Trust me, bro. 6. 100+ imports (Practically my entire collection would count!) Proof: https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/9709-weekend-spent-in-the-gameroom-not-playing-games-mini-update-new-xbox-shelves/ 7. Werewolf 10+ games (It's gotta be over 10 by now) Proof: Countless PTOD sufferers haunting the forums, I can probably name all the games I've been in, if I MUST. Thanks, pals!
  7. I would be interested to see a list of unauthorized stuff like this, hacks, proto dumps, bootlegs, translations etc. But, that list could actually amount into the hundreds, even without the Alibaba bootlegs of retail game releases. It's a big job, and seeing as I don't currently collect those types of game, it's kinda outside the scope of my current interests. It's definitely something that could be done at some point, although I know of several individual releases of certain hacks where maybe only one or two copies even exist in physical form, so it would be difficult to track them all!
  8. Yeah, it was a leak from when the Rare archives were hacked a few years back! Of course, I would LOVE to be able to add a game like that to the list, I was never fully satisfied with the version of the game we eventually got on the GameCube. I think it would have suited the original system a lot better, with the original characters and story etc. But, as I said previously, I don't want to pad this list out with a bunch of hacks and demos and mods and stuff, I just want to keep it to authorised releases and originals.
  9. Apparently the outrage in this specific thread was enough to turn the tide, we won guys! Twitch quickly reverses policy that “went too far” allowing nudity https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/12/twitch-finally-updates-overly-punitive-confusing-sexual-content-policy/
  10. Good stuff! I remember reading a preview of this game when I was a kid, certainly a lot of the screenshots I found online are ringing a bell: I am REALLY happy and excited to see a bunch of lost N64 originals getting a second chance to shine in the modern day, hopefully we will eventually see many more of the abandoned games getting finished up and released! This seems to be a very deep well to draw from actually, as a lot of promising N64 games were cancelled for a variety of reasons back in the day. I'll absolutely be on the lookout for this one once it's ready!!!!
  11. Well, as I mentioned previously, somewhere in the 15-20 bucks range. I usually get stuff shipped for around 16 or 18 USD, with tracking and it will arrive within a week. Ebay's service is dogshite by comparison.
  12. Will do! I also recommend the Piko release of 40 Winks, it's basically like playing an N64 game that never was! And, if you haven't already picked up Xeno Crisis on one of the many other systems it's been released on, I would recommend the N64 version of that too. The D-pad and C-buttons allow for twin-stick style play, so you can move and shoot in opposing directions at the same time, and it looks and sounds crisp af on the 64!
  13. Well, international shipping in general has gone up, for sure. However, on Ebay there is an even BIGGER problem, which is that all the international packages need to be delivered through their insane international shipping program. Ordinary international shipping for an item from US to Taiwan is something in the range of 15 to 20 bucks, but the mandatory Ebay shipping program STARTS at like 30 plus already! It's not worth it, at all, especially when so many sellers offer free shipping within the US. As long as you have someone there who can hold stuff for you, it's almost always the better option just to do that.
  14. Hey doods, I missed out on this release when it was available from Limited Run, and now I'm at the mercy of scalpers and the **shudders** Ebay international shipping service. If anyone has a copy of this they're willing to sell, I'm not picky on condition or anything, please PM me and help a bro out, will ya?! THX!
  15. Man, Worms Armageddon is gonna suck for me to get. None left on the Limited Run website, only Ebay. The mark-up isn't TOO bad, 20 or 30 bucks... but the shipping is KILLER. Might need to wait on this one till I got some other stuff I wanna order from the States, bundle up the shipping...
