  1. I'd also have to go with some ultra rare Atari games that I would otherwise never own. But that's no fun because there are other rares I'd want as well: 1. Atari 2600 - Birthday Mania 2. Atari 2600 - Red Sea Crossing 3. NES - Stadium Events 4. Neo Geo AES - Kizuna Encounter 5. TG16 - Magical Chase
  2. 9/10, a true classic and "everyone should watch it," at least once.
  3. It's titles like SMW that make gaming great. I'm stingy with my 10's, and I save them for games like SMW that look and sound incredible, control perfectly and just never get old. Super Mario World is an easy 10/10 with no hesitation. It's one of the best games ever made.
  4. One of my favorite Genesis games. Nothing but love for Castle of Illusion. 9/10 from me!
  5. Maybe I need a refresher (I kinda remember that episode - does it have the basket from the Gersh Agency?) but what was it about this one that irked you so badly? Sorry to derail the thread a bit but I'm dying to know.
  6. Not sure exactly what kind of experience you are after, but the best way in 2024? It's certainly emulation. It's just about perfect and much cheaper! Others mentioned NGCD but I would dissuade you from that option, mainly because not every Neo game is available on CD. Plus, as a cart-based platform, waiting for loading times is just very un-Neo imo.
  7. I paid $1.5 million for a sealed Super Mario 64, but now I kinda regret it. It doesn't seem to be very rare after all. Did I get a good deal? (totally j/k btw)
  8. While Grave of the Fireflies is quite sad, I found Barefoot Gen even sadder (and a better movie imo). My vote for saddest movie moment (as opposed to just overall sad movie) is the ending of Dancer in the Dark with Bjork. The ending of Pixar's Coco got me pretty damn good too.
  9. I'm quite surprised to not see any mentions of Parodius Da! (or any other Parodii) yet.
  10. Hate this fucking movie. I saw it in college with my gf and some friends at an outdoor venue. Since I hadn't seen it, I was a "virgin" and put in a group with the other virgins. Later, when I guess you're supposed to spray each other with water pistols, they hosed the virgins down with a water hose. It was a cold evening and really pissed me off tbh. I spent the rest of the night wet, freezing and hating my gf. So, fuck this movie and fuck its hardcore fans.
  11. I remember that @DarkKobold! It was actually the first time I'd heard of a TAS, and your run of Dungeon Explorer was probably the first I ever watched lol. I left that site too because of a jerk moderator who I won't name. But to be fair, there were MANY great people there who are/were decent folk. There used to be lots of raffles where people would give away games (I raffled a loose Cadash and Super Star Soldier myself) and you just don't see that anywhere anymore. Yes, there were some who were ugly towards new TG collectors, but in some cases it was certainly justified (people just wanting deals on games but not seeming to care about the games themselves).
  12. I gave it a 9/10. It's in my Top 10 NES games for sure. The game mechanics are second nature to me, having played it so much bitd, but I could totally understand why someone picking it up now may not get into it. I also played the reboot which was one of my first PS3 games, and it wasn't so great. Haven't checked out Rearmed.
  13. Persona for the P Station, huh? Yea this is upsetting, but it was just a matter of time. Thankfully, the bootleggers don't display the word PlayStation on the manual or use the PS logo on the disc. I'm sure that, ahem, kindness won't last long though.
  14. A truly great Atari 2600 game, but I usually play the sequel when I'm in the mood for it. It was certainly a quantum leap in gameplay and graphics upon release. Surprised no one has mentioned the TV commercial with a young Jack Black!
  15. The Goonies R Good Enough by Cyndi Lauper should be on the list! And maybe Day-O from Beetlejuice. Bohemian Rhapsody in Wayne's World? (Are we only including songs made FOR the movie or just notably used in it?)
  16. Looking for SMS Fantasy Zone manual and others. Thanks!
  17. Had to go with Princess Mononoke, but Howl's Moving Castle is a close 2nd and I believe it has better art and animation. The only one I haven't seen yet is The Boy and the Heron - waiting for a BD or UHD release.
  18. I enjoyed Barbie waaaaay more than I ever thought I could or would. It had me cracking up quite a bit (especially "mojo dojo casa house" and Weird Barbie), and I'll happily watch it again one day.
  19. I do love this movie dearly, and watched it just a few weeks ago on UHD. I had to give it an 8, though I wouldn't fault anyone for rating it higher or lower. Upon rewatching, I found the parts of Joel's session a bit unbelievable - with the young crew drinking and dancing on the bed. I understand it was necessary for that part of the plot, but it was a bit silly. That said, it's great seeing Kirsten Dunst in her panties and Kate Winslet is just beautiful throughout the movie.
  20. Assuming your story and posts are true and you aren't trolling - I voted dumbass, but my honest opinion is that you are a raging fucking asshole. You deserve whatever the fuck you get.
  21. I actually just watched this on UHD the other day after not having seen it in many years, and it's still fantastic. I saw it in the theater when it came out, and it blew my young mind. Watching it now as an adult, it's striking how casually death is handled. Tim Burton's vision for Beetlejuice made death palatable, even hilarious. I kept cracking up at the football player who keeps telling his "coach" that he doesn't think they survived the plane crash. Ordinarily... the death of a high school football team wouldn't ever be funny, but there you go! And the football team is only a very minor side story. The "Day-O" scene is fucking hilarious and I still love Winona Ryder to this day because of this movie (and Edward Scissorhands). Great score by Danny Elfman too.
  22. Love this movie. It needs a 4K UHD release already!
  23. Are you taking offers on everything as a whole, or individual titles?
  24. Good call on Pong and the original Magnavox Odyssey. Similarly, the Bally Professional Arcade was initially only sold through the high-end JS&A mail order catalog in 1977/78.
