I’m playing since it’s between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Good thing you aren’t playing though. I would hate to knock you out early.
I try to distance myself from the internet and focus on my family time between Thanksgiving and Christmas since my parents aren't getting any younger. From one former champion to another, I hope you to win another one this year.

Never played either.
You didn't miss anything.

I'd take Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night over these any day. 4/10.

The missed tackles and penalties on defense are a real problem. I can see not wanting to get the starters injured in preseason games, but sitting them has to have something to do with these slow starts every year.

08 - Pumpkin Ghost from Tiny Toon Adventures [Nintendo Entertainment System - 1991]
@FireHazard51 - always good to have a few Halloween-themed suggestions. I made this one extra spooky, too.

That might be the best one yet! The level of detail is amazing!

Any favorite moments in particular for you?
The Ice Hockey contest where 80 goals only got me 3rd place, almost beating @docile tapeworm at 1943, barely beating @Richardhead at Rad Racer and tying @Gloves during Yo! Noid only to have @mbd39 tie me for 1st place are a few. Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! and Double Dragon II are two games I always have fun playing and those two wins helped me win the sports and beat em up titles. I forgot that you missed Renegade week. I got the win, but if you had played, the beat em up title race would have been a lot more interesting since you beat me at Yie Ar Kung Fu.

Thanks. Admittedly, I was not expecting to do quite so well this year. Nearing the end I was just trying to hang on to 2nd. Once the BearCat wakes up he's a persistently brutal foe to have to compete against!
Missing the first month along with a few other weeks didn't help me any, but I'm still not sure if I would have finished any higher since I would have needed 18 more points to take the top spot. You were tough every week, so you definitely earned that title!

Congrats @PII on the regular season championship and the two genre titles. That's one great season!

Congrats @mbd39 on the puzzle title and actually making my "lock of the week" right for a change!

I vote whatever will make it most convenient for you bea. I appreciate all the time you take to put the contest on.
Same here, but I'll likely pass my spot to someone on the "on call" list to give a new player a shot at playing in the tournament.

07 - Dirtbike Rider from Excitebike [Nintendo Entertainment System - 1985]
@Bearcat-Doug thanks for this revised suggestion! Believe it or not, this was the hardest one for me to draw so far. Getting the perspective on the dirtbike was tough, but I wanted a dynamic angle like in the sprite.
[T-Pac]
That turned out great! Thanks for drawing it!

01 - Ryu from Ninja Gaiden [Nintendo Entertainment System - 1989]
@Sumez - I'm actually kinda glad you threw the Ryu sprite back at me. But you always pull out some great obscure stuff on your own, too, so you better make more suggestions!
I went for a slick 'Samurai Jack' feel here, which was probably a bit ambitious since I'm still out-of-practice doing long, clean lines with my drawing-pen. But I didn't mess up too bad after all haha.
[T-Pac]
It's really amazing how you can take such a well known character and make it unique. It also gives me an idea! How about Simon Belmont?

The Yo Noid contest was way more fun than I expected.
Me tying @Gloves and then you tying me was one of the wildest things I've seen.

I've seen eight movies on this list. It must be opposite day.

@Bearcat-Doug secured the 2023 Beat'em up crown! Hooray!
Two genre titles and third place overall is a better than I thought I'd do after missing the entire first month and a few weeks during the season. Congrats to @PII and @Gloves on taking the top two spots! Great job @docile tapeworm and @mbd39 on your genre title wins this year!

Congrats to @PII on another win to take the regular season title! Also, great score by @mbd39 to win the puzzle championship! It's been an awesome season and lot of fun playing with everyone (even @Richardhead)!

Yeah I actually said outloud at the end of the finale…motherfucker! I was so mad they ended it right there lmao
Same here. Without spoiling what happened for those who haven't seen it, I wonder if that's going to tie the two shows together somehow even though they are 7 generations apart if I have the timeline right.
Anyone here a flexitarian?
