    It totally was! I remember Theme Park for the Sega Saturn ruining a particular weekend. What noise that game was!

    I love weightlifting and working out, and played sports a bunch as a kid. As an adult I enjoy the occasional batting cages, driving range, etc., but it's been years since I've played competitively in an actual game, lol. WITH THAT SAID... I do enjoy me some sports games. I go on kicks. Wrestling, baseball, basketball, football. Something about those old Madden and NHL games still does it every once in a while.

    This is ironically one of the easiest levels once you know the patterns and timing. There was a period where I could do the first three levels on a single life without dying ONCE. Those were my peak NES years lol.

    It took me a while to come around to this game; it didn't "click" until about 2015ish. I actually had a CIB copy at one point (during the period I didn't care for the game), and sold it lol. No regrets, I just wish I had a working cart copy these days!

    I don't care about football at all, and I LOVED this game when it came out. Lots of good memories. I give this a 9/10. Anyone else remember the NFL Blitz arcade cabinets that let you load an N64 memory card?
