  1. Mega Man X. For some reason, this time of year I always get the itch.
  2. This was exactly my reasoning. Turtles in Time is my favorite TMNT game, hands down. Sonic 2 get the nod for me, even though I've played that title to death through the years.
  3. It's been years, but this is a solid 8/10 for me.
  4. I vividly remember my neighbor (same age) playing Ecco on the Genesis growing up. I had a Genesis as well, but I had games like Aladdin, Streets of Rage 2, and Panic on Funkotron. Everyone had Sonic, etc.; I knew I would have exposure to those titles regardless, so I'd intentionally rent and buy other games . There's just something very special about Panic on Funkotron for me. I know the first one is quite popular as a fetch quest game. The "sequel" definitely resonated with me in the perfect way as a kid in the early/mid 90's. Nostalgia bias all the way, but glorious is said game!
  5. It appears I'm in the minority per usual; I disagree with almost every more popular choice here lmao. Ecco was always overrated AF for me, while games like ToeJam and Earl (both entries) are like maximum genesis novelty in a package, that always seems to get overlooked in favor of generic titles IMHO!
  6. I played this game for years, and only just recently thought about trying it with the NES Advantage.
  7. Streets of Rage 2 is probably going to win this rumble.
  8. I didn't use GameFaqs or any other source until about 1998 IIRC.
  9. I wasn't even aware of the Turbo Charge as a kid lmao. We just had the cart; no manual! Marble Madness is strangely addicting for how short a game it is.
  10. My latest video for The Gaming Manual! Thank you so much for your support, it's been a blast watching the channel and brand grow!
  11. Awesome game. It's been years; I need to play it again. I'm on a Super Metroid kick atm (how is this game 30?)!
  12. I have absolutely insane nostalgia for Mega Man X on the SNES.
  13. GB MM is underrated for sure. LoZ on the NES is my favorite NES game, but even I'll agree that Link's Awakening is a tighter, more complete adventure.
  14. The funny part is, that was my first Genesis game at home age 6. If it wasn't up against SoR2 - arguably my favorite Genesis title - it would almost surely have gotten my vote. Great game!
  15. What about the DOS games?! On a huge 4 and 6 kick.
  16. Thank you and it truly is an ever-green series, lol. I find myself gravitating to 4-6 more than 1-3 as time goes on. I feel like the latter half of the hexology (AVGN's words lol) is criminally overlooked while the first half is given a crazy pass on objectively bad design/soft lock issues due to nostalgia glasses, etc. I've yet to play this entry! Is it Japanese release only?!
  17. My main gripes with two are getting softlocked, and the beam trap section.
  18. Now I feel bad I didn't see those lmao. IGNORE MEH.
